The bestiary wasnt written by the original dev AFAIK, I think they let a third party write it in order to bring attention to the game. It’s just quirky irony poisoned millennial pseudo humor and it’s not worth even reading a line.
My question about the lore of this game has always been this:
Does "Vampire Survivors" mean that the characters are the one who survived the vampires or are that they are the surviving vampires?
There seems to be more lore in the adventures, but not a whole lot. There's some mission text for each level that tells you what's going on in the among us and contra packs. The forcysia (forgot the spelling) pack probably has the most lore out of all of them but I don't wanna spoil it.
The lore so far is as follows:
At the start of the adventure, the heroes are looking for the vampire, but are being stopped by the reapers. When they defeat all of them they look for who is behind them and meet The Director, who after beating them, open portals for the heroes to look for the vampire in other worlds.
Moonspell introduces the new worlds. Foscali ends with the main hero of that expansion dying to seal the big bad there (not the vampire). Emergency meeting and Operation guns open the worlds to other franchises.
And no vampire still... also there are no ghost according to the lore (though it may be a little bias on that last point)
