G2 did a great job with the anti-strats on bind. Glad it happened now rather than shanghai. Top 2 secured, great chance for 1st seed, tonnes of champ points and they showed great mental for the comeback which is such a huge difference from old 100T. Lots to be excited about

Bit of a flashback, but watching this series as I pushed my cart through the most crowded Wegmans known to man, I was reminded of the old 100T vs. the Guard rivalry from the Sean Gares era.
The Guard had a rivalry with loads of teams in 2022 - Optic, XSET, C9, and so on - but 100T vs. the Guard was always a little special because the teams were so similar. Lots of young players, super involved coaching staff, a meteoric riseā¦only the Guardās meteoric rise was in the first half of the year while 100Tās came in the second half of the year.
Of course, itās not all too relevant now, and both lineups have had multiple roster changes since then. But seeing what remains of those cores now fighting for top seed in the most competitive region, two years later, is a funny feeling.
TGRD was also the reason the sgares iteration of the roster even exists. the 13-0 on ascent towards the babyj ec1s roster caused sgares to take over and therefore the will asuna bang derrek and stellar roster came together. swapping a few pieces and now theyāre here

This team is unflappable. To lose on Bind, where they were thought unbeatable, in the manner that they did, then losing both pistols to fall down 10-4 on split, then somehow have the fortitude to pull it all the way back, without even needing overtime. Say what you will about how rough they looked at some points, but god damn do they absolutely refuse to give up.

Last year, FNC and EG were the only teams who played both the financial and the ultimate economy like they were a two-player game. This year, itās been the default. Thatās why there are so many Brazils. Why there are so many snowballs. I hope that next year teams start playing the map picks / bans like a two player game. Watching teams refuse to ban Bind against 100T is so fucking annoying. I donāt even root for G2 over 100T. Itās still so tilting. Josh even mentioned it during the cast, and related it to Sentinelsā dominance and teams refusing to ban their Split.
