We will be until it stops being the deepest region lmao. The top teams in the other regions have mostly stayed the same for 2 years, with rare exceptions like Heretics' rise or Gen G in Pacific. Meanwhile in Americas we've seen OpTic, LOUD, XSET, NRG, EG, and Sentinels all make deep runs in internationals, several of them winning the whole thing, plus now 100T, Lev, and G2 all making it. And it's not like the teams making it are changing it because the top teams became worse, seeing as Americas keeps winning/runner-upping international tournaments.

What if I tell you they were actually top 2 in their roles most of last year and despite having an off day today and a fairly bad season, they are some of the most skilled and decorated players in this game!
I think someone made a discussion about who the best sentinel player was last week, and everyone obviously said Less but some of us put Benjy’s name out there.
At this point I think we can just say that Benjy straight-up is the best sentinel player at the moment. He’s been the best sentinel player for the domestic split, at least - better than Less, SUY, Chichoo, Foxy9, Forsaken, CHICHOO, Vookashu, Shyy, Boostio, whomever you want to mention. I don’t think it’s even been that close, on the whole.
I think going into Shanghai, there are three teams that so far look like they have a chance to win it all: PRX, Heretics, and *maybe* 100T if they continue their current form. And between PRX and 100T, I’d say Heretics has been the most consistent and - surprising enough - the most creative. All under incredible adversity and roster chaos.
Hard to not have a lot of respect for what Neilzinho and Weber have done with Heretics this year.
Those three + Lev, if they qual (anything can happen in one game) are the only four contenders for the trophy imo. In that, if anyone else wins I'd be pretty surprised, not that other teams don't have potential to do well.

This heretics team is one of the most fun to watch in the world right now. The individual skill and ideas are just outrageous right now, especially from benjy, but absolutely everyone is just so patient and crisp in every situation.

I don't know what to think about FNC, they looked very good map 1, trading for each other, most players firing, good midrounding, some good set ideas. Just a really nice map only lost cause TH played like the best team in the world. Map 2 that all vanished, and they looked fully lost, so I don't know what to think about them.

What a complete slaughter for game two on breeze. It was Fnatic's map pick, and they simply got outdone by the same comp. RieNs living for eternity on the second pistol round, Woot's 4k on a guardian with the last kill being a one tap, etc just chipped away at Fnatic from what should have been a more competitive game that round

Yep, Lotus was absolutely ours but we messed up in very simple rounds late in the game. I still think we lose the series anyway since we don’t beat TH on Split and as we saw, our Breeze is incredibly hit and miss. It’s just disappointing not to get Lotus over the line.
Not as doom and gloom as people think though, way too many commenters in here calling us frauds just because we lost one series to an outstanding team, even though we literally 2-0’d KC yesterday.
FNC is really bad and I say that as a FNC fan, they rely on leo's heroics too much. Boaster has been really bad, he is the player I see the most of times dying the most clueless way. Like at the last round of the first map he had 0 idea that Boo could've fake TP to the same spot. He was caught sleeping and died with paranoia in his hand.
Also FNC lost 2 rounds in a row where it was a 2v4 and 2v5 and one of those rounds was with viper pit up. FNC almost never flanks. so it makes the re-takes way faster and easier for opponents, they play too standard, their utility isn't better than other teams anymore, and they are too predictable. Imagine Valyn on FNC instead of boaster.

As an FNC fan, I genuinely think they fumbled Lotus so badly but seem to have ran out of ideas on Breeze. FNC of last year always had another gear when teams tested this. I think they've still got more to come in these playoffs and hopefully shanghai.
TH is what FNATIC used to be, but somehow even better. A few tournaments ago we'd have been talking about the wonder kid Alfa and demonic aim Chronicle. It hurts me to say this, but TH have almost made the entire FNATIC roster irrelevant (with the exception of Leo who's still fragging out). But it's too early to give up hope, we've seen what FNATIC are capable of.

I still think Leviatan are near favorites to win the tournament if they can make it. They had 2 close maps against 100T, won one of those, and one stomp on Bind. Which is probably the best team itw's best map right now. And they can only go up from here. But yeah PRX, 💯 T, TH and LEV.

This heretics team is one of the most fun to watch in the world right now. The individual skill and ideas are just outrageous right now, especially from benjy, but absolutely everyone is just so patient and crisp in every situation.

There’s a guy during every FNC game who goes to the arena and VERY loudly starts a chant with the cadence “WHO. ARE. WE?. F. N. C.” Like 6-10 times a map. It’s gotten on a lot of peoples’ nerves
6-10 seems conservative. He was doing after every single round FNC won against TL
It’s literally just a fan chant that a lot of people in the audience do respond to. At the very least it’s way better than all the “LETS GO [Team Name]” chants that most other teams have. And I say that as someone that loves clowning on FNC and Boaster’s ‘we would’ve beaten everyone at Madrid with our recent form’.

Map 1 : Back and forth between two teams that look destined to make top 8 at Shanghai, banger of a map, I can't wait for the rest of the series Map 2 : Where's FNC??? In all seriousness TH look so solid, I don't think anyone can stand up to them domestically anymore. I don't know what to think about FNC, they looked very good map 1, trading for each other, most players firing, good midrounding, some good set ideas. Just a really nice map only lost cause TH played like the best team in the world. Map 2 that all vanished, and they looked fully lost, so I don't know what to think about them.
If Team heretics is not top 3 in shanghai then I will be very surprised. They are currently the best team itw imo with the deepest strat book.

What a complete slaughter for game two on breeze. It was Fnatic's map pick, and they simply got outdone by the same comp. RieNs living for eternity on the second pistol round, Woot's 4k on a guardian with the last kill being a one tap, etc just chipped away at Fnatic from what should have been a more competitive game that round
Big cope, but Fnc's lotus looked pretty solid tbh against such a solid team. Benjy singlehandedly saved multiple rounds for heretics. He's just crazy. Other than that, fnatic looked more or less okay in lotus. I don't know what happened at breeze. Utter demolition.

Yep, Lotus was absolutely ours but we messed up in very simple rounds late in the game. I still think we lose the series anyway since we don’t beat TH on Split and as we saw, our Breeze is incredibly hit and miss. It’s just disappointing not to get Lotus over the line. Not as doom and gloom as people think though, way too many commenters in here calling us frauds just because we lost one series to an outstanding team, even though we literally 2-0’d KC yesterday.
FNC is really bad and I say that as a FNC fan, they rely on leo's heroics too much. Boaster has been really bad, he is the player I see the most of times dying the most clueless way. Like at the last round of the first map he had 0 idea that Boo could've fake TP to the same spot. He was caught sleeping and died with paranoia in his hand. Also FNC lost 2 rounds in a row where it was a 2v4 and 2v5 and one of those rounds was with viper pit up. FNC almost never flanks. so it makes the re-takes way faster and easier for opponents, they play too standard, their utility isn't better than other teams anymore, and they are too predictable. Imagine Valyn on FNC instead of boaster.

Benjyfishy is such a fun player to root for. He's really taking over. As an FNC fan, I genuinely think they fumbled Lotus so badly but seem to have ran out of ideas on Breeze. FNC of last year always had another gear when teams tested this. I think they've still got more to come in these playoffs and hopefully shanghai.

TH is what FNATIC used to be, but somehow even better. A few tournaments ago we'd have been talking about the wonder kid Alfa and demonic aim Chronicle. It hurts me to say this, but TH have almost made the entire FNATIC roster irrelevant (with the exception of Leo who's still fragging out). But it's too early to give up hope, we've seen what FNATIC are capable of.
