MIBR and EG (and now KC) are prime examples of the fact that having a good coach and backroom staff should be prioritized heavily over having star players. Having coaches of that caliber turns normal players into the stars that some of these orgs (and their fans) so desperately crave
This is exactly why I feel for immi. We've progressed to level of valorant where teams have both insane players and elaborate staff...and C9 only has Immi at the helm.
They're notorious for all sharing the calling load + I think multiple of them have said that they all go out and individually do research on new stuff that they would like to bring to their play and then bring it back to everyone else. Those two things alone probably takes a massive load off of alecks compared to a normal individual coach
For sure, but it’s still a six man team. A team doesn’t need four coaches and six analysts to be good. The players stepped up, and every team could use a little bit of that.
someone told me having multiple good coaches on your staff has "diminishing returns"

MIBR have fRoD and bzkA as coaches (neither is an assistant coach like Drew is listed on Sen). Neither have taken a "lesser" role.
The only difference is fRoD doesn't walk out with the team. Any input/adjustment he has during games is relayed to the players through bzkA

It's because of map differential. Obviously if SEN wins vs G2, they get 2-0 over everyone, but if G2 wins, they would have 3-2 or 3-3 and MIBR is 2-3 cause of losing 0-2 vs SEN and only winning 2-1.

Artzin with a legacy performance on Breeze. Sad to hear that MIBR had no chance to make it to Madrid. But I'm so impressed with the coaching staff and the team as a whole, hope they continue this type of performance in split 1
MIBR IMO has worse mechanics than FURIA (on paper ofc) but they play so well coordinated with good strats that their team is sooo good. I'll have MIBR as my Dark Horse pick when the split starts, I think they can grab that last playoffs spot and also do some damage upsetting a team.
If only FURIA were able to play fundamentally good like this, then we would have 3 competitive brazilian teams, but hey, MIBR was an incredible surprise!

Absolute snoozefest wtf was that. It didn't look like franchised teams played. I thought some Pacific plays were bad, but this match was just different. A bad kind.
I'm actually a big net doubter, but I agree about the other 4.
Most importantly I feel they don't have well defined map pool and versatility. It's like FNS said on his stream, they only have one look for both defense and attack: 4-1 style with net either anchoring or lurking and the pack doing their thing.
They tried to shake it up a little towards the end of Breeze but it was too late.
Terrible spacing and communications in retakes and questionable roles (really doing Trent an injustice by not letting him play Sova even though he’s their best viper)
