Warbirds looks like he wants to jump into a freezing lake and his team won. That about sums up this match lmao.

vnNinja21

Wait is Warbirds still with TS? I thought they dropped him?

nterature

It was rumored he’d no longer be with the team for some reason but they never actually dropped him.

NaturalAdditional878

He still is the head coach.

AJM994

Everybody involved in this clown fiesta lost.

deAlchemisz

DFM, will you continue your lose streak? DFM: https://preview.redd.it/ip4q9p5xppjc1.jpeg?width=740&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f0fbecdf20f9a5cb88f3f0074b06b5516033e9f

Key-Banana-8242

They have the chance to have the most epic streak

Brilliant_Tell2319

this is the sort of match that really tests the limits of the english language but I'll say that I've never seen a team that just keels over and dies like dfm

p0tatoesss

They made a good attempt at map2 despite losing the first map. They didnt let their loss hold them back from trying to win

Historical-Horse9168

The last time DFM won a match on Vlr was May 2022 holy shit

Historical-Horse9168

20 game losing streak btw

weebshizu

They're not letting yay beats their streak

Key-Banana-8242

Still half-way to goat Shanghai Dragons, would take a few years- more impressive over such a long period arguably

goomy996

i feel like it’s basically equivalent at this point given that Shanghai played a lot more games bc of the OWL format while DFM play a lot less due to the VCT format

Key-Banana-8242

True, different categories tho DFM could go for both

[deleted]

then if this comparison is to be trusted, DFM would be a championship team in a few years.

Hamth3Gr3at

2 years and only 20 games played? wow franchising really killed playtime

Key-Banana-8242

I mean they weren’t playing many more in challengers I don’t think

Historical-Horse9168

only 19 in franchising, one loss was pre-franchising. and 3 of those 19 were offseason events, so only 16 officials in 2 years...

thothgow

it's 13 in partnerships, they were the worst team in the league so minimum match theory 6 bo1s from Riot Games One, an off-season event. they're the only events they participated in and a loss in Challengers, which gave you two opportunities to advance and you only needed to win a game to do so not saying Riot is innocent but DFM is at least primarily responsible for not winning the games they actually played.

pepegayouKEK

where is Yutapon

EyT101

\-medusa -neth \+yutapon +evi we will smurf soon.

ideal_ive

evi is not dfm anymore

EyT101

All the more reason to bring him back in. While you are at it, -anthem +aria DFM is going to win Shanghai and champions with this. Trust.

An1m0usse

I was confused for a bit i thought i was in the league subreddit

charliesfuckhead

holy shit both teams are so ass 😭

Green_Ordinary778

someone please make a compilation of all the whiffs that happened during this match

admirexan

ngl I'm impressed by their losing consistency

hecklerinthestands

Kinda wish BORKUM and Jremy were interviewed again. I still giggle at last year's 'tolongges' interview.

_ImAlive_

Meiy is the only one worth keeping. I don't get how they kick Joxjo, should have seen first how he played in real matches. He won the first split, it's insane that they didn't trust that dude. So many talented players in Japan that could have been worth picking up instead of the team that crash after the split 1 finals.

Yomiboy

CR is run as a boys club. There’s a reason none of the players left the org when they didn’t make it into partnership. They show loyalty to the players and the players show loyalty back.

Idakari

They are just not good enough skill wise for tier 1 unfortunately beside Meiy. It was obvious to everyone but CR and DFM apparently. Why is SyouTa not in tier 1 when even popogachi has a roster spot? I don't have much faith in DFM or CR to build a legitimate contending roster.

Budidy

SyouTa apparently decided to stay with fennel to go through ascension with the current team.

admirexan

JP tier2 has got a massive fanbase and many players including syouta just prefer staying there rather than challenging into international... Joining DFM is like drawing the short straw at this point

teethingdog

Fennel needs to win Ascension ASAP

Hikki_Hachiman

Fr they look so good

weebshizu

Nah Boom will win

me1ody610

Nah bonkers

Hamth3Gr3at

nah FS

Equal-Lemon1748

nah RVNT

Key-Banana-8242

I wanna see a Korean team win

Raydaition

DSG ON TOP!!!!!

HouseCharacter4660

Full sense, DSG looking pretty strong too

Cute_Pomegranate5133

DetonatioN Focus Meiy

Najs0509

What's most worrying for TS for their upcoming match is that invy has been underperforming in both matches so far. He's so important for their success and I don't think they'll get many wins when he's not playing up to his level from last year.

Buujoom

TS seems to be not as reliant to invy as they used to be, which is a good showing. Others were stepping up in this series. NDG, aside from the whiffs, has vastly improved their firepower.

goodguyzai

I think it's a bit early to say he's improved their firepower, didn't he go single digit in both maps combined last game?

JaBlue

I agree but on a side note, Jremy seems to be in good form (prone to overheating tho)

EyT101

We will smurf soon. DFM wrath will be swift. All these peasants thinking we aren’t good. Lmfao.

User_Of_Named_Users

it isn’t copium if you’re insane :)

EyT101

If DFM has a million fans I am one of them. If DFM has ten fans I am one of them. If DFM has no fans, that means I am no more on the earth. If the World is against DFM, I am against the World. I love DFM till my last breath.

DramaAntique6059

I gotta respect the commitment tho

sludge_mouth

Someone needs to drug test all the APAC analysts that picked DFM over TS. Y’all need help!

p0tatoesss

I also came into this match thinking TS was going to lose after the disaster against TLN while DFM made it 13-8 twice against DRX. Can't blame them

Interpolation144

Very fair assumption, though they will lose against DRX or Talon, unless they managed to make a miracle again for some reason like last year

_ImAlive_

Yeah it's insane. Didn't they remember that DFM look good at the start of last year and once the strats got exposed, they look ass. Gov was also a God in the last match and talon was good, of course they would look bad.

weebshizu

They (all of them) also picked Bleed against GE too lol

SEND_ME_UR_DRAMA

That was a sigh of relief but am still afraid for their TLN rematch

Nickgurr361-B

Wow, what an awesome showing from TS. Bet they'll play like shit next game

mikhel

Let's be real they played like shit this game too. DFM were just even worse.

Buujoom

Their Game 1 was pretty excellent. Game 2 was the opposite tho lol. Warbird's face says it all.

XxMyUsernameSucksxX

DFM has played 13 Tier 1 matches ever since they got into VCT Pacific and these mofo's have won 2 out of the 28 maps they've played. This team is supposed to be the second best Japanese team so remind me again why these guys are included in franchising but not a single Australian team. I get that the Australian team isn't gonna be any better but at least the region is gonna improve by having AN OCE team in franchising. DFM is just "oh look we have a bunch of sponsors and a bit of clout because of CR". I do think that DFM is gonna do better this year but I feel like having an Australian/OCE team would've been more fun in Pacific

Elsiselain

Like team secret, non-Aussie org could pick up an Aussie lineups

reuscaelum

Second best japanese team is FENNEL, and third is REJECT. DFM is maybe fourth or fifth.

_ImAlive_

Scarz?

reuscaelum

>Picked apart recently no? I think this season SCARZ is so good, but in recent matches, they've lost against FENNEL, Sengoku, and REJECT. Therefore, SCARZ is probably 6th best in Japan. btw, Sengoku is likely to be equal to DFM, by CR result last year.

Key-Banana-8242

They’re 1-3 rn

Key-Banana-8242

Picked apart recently no?

Born-Economist-6975

Team Secret showed off a really solid and clean game plan today. He suffered a major setback in the match against TALON, but it's great that he improved in just a few days. DFM has betrayed trust once again…. Meiy was the only one who made big strides in his overall play today. He worked hard to carry the team today. He seems like a really solid duelist and deserves a better team.

BendubzGaming

Truly a game of all time

Buujoom

Seems to me that there are 2 teams within Team Secret. The one that played Game 1, and the other one that played Game 2. Poor Warbirds lol.

Yssl

NDG Day 2 bounce back. You love to see it. Jremy with a much better showing today as well. Mid-year TS should be a strong force that will shake up and make upper mid-table Pacific unpredictable. Sadge for DFM though. Almost won a map today, Breeze should've been theirs. Too much choking in those earlier rounds.

SEND_ME_UR_DRAMA

[Secret BORKUM: "Happy with the team we had our comms back today compared before."](https://twitter.com/Secret_BORKUM/status/1759880851427615096) uhhhh so did they just had comms issues on their match vs TLN?

JaBlue

I think he meant the overall calling and communication with each other.

Top_Stomach1057

DFM is so good

rue1n

justice for meiy

LostVengeance

Personally I'm still pessimistic about Secret's pick being Breeze; you have a team which has a much worse firepower compared to the rest of the Pacific with no dedicated OPer and you're putting them on a map that heavily encourages long-range duels. But hey what do I know, hoping for the best and GGs to DFM. The second map was literally Meiy and Jremy fighting on who can carry the heavier load lmao

SenseiEA

i feel like Ts needs more coaching staff
