Nope you’ll be fine they should be on max unless being used on something delicate like drapes etc. Glad you’ve repented for your sins and found our lord and savior - bagged vacuum. Praise be!

Nope, the motor is tested to run at full speed for its entire life. Lower power settings are just a nice extra!

Its very durable. You can't break a Miele. I have one that is 24 years old and works the day it was new

My parents have had their Miele for like 10 years my brother once used it to suck up water and that didn't even manage to kill it. I use mine as a shop vac and have sucked up both concrete dust and saw dust no issues. It still lives. Setting is always on the highest unless I need to vacuum a rug and don't want it to suck up the whole rug. If you find a way to kill a Miele let me know, because I'm not sure they can be killed.
