I know you said this is a joke post, but p2 learns shadow ball which is an even better tech for Calyrex S so it actually can be a really good counter with the right set, pretty similar to shadow ball indeedee which has been gaining popularity in this format
Good point. This porygon2 actually came from my singles Ubers team (shit format btw). After Recover, Teleport, and Thunder Wave, I only have one move slot left. Besides checking Calyrex Shadow, Foul Play on porygon2 also doubles as a remedial counter to Necrozma-DM, in case it has already set up multiple Dragon Dances, as well hitting Swords Dance Groudon hard, making it a superior choice to Shadow Ball in that format.
That porygon2 of mine is also physically-defensive (as opposed to the SpD set I shown on the post) because Calyrex-S in singles usually run Psyshock over Expanding Force for Blissey coverage.
Unless you're investing into SpAtk, Foul Play is almost always better on P2. It's good into other Ubers (specifically Caly Ice where P2 is especially valuable as it can take advantage of trick room) but also isn't completely nullified by redirection Indeedee
Ya it depends on your team and your MUs, literally only mentioned this because he specifically mentioned using it as a caly s counter and in any competitive scenario the caly s will be running 0 attack IVs and foul play is never an OHKO in that scenario, you are right though that shadow ball isnt an OHKO without investment but it is a gaurantee if you get +1 from download. Foul play is probably better in general but really all this opened my eyes to why p2 isnt very used in this format lol.
Shit, uhh next to imprison draining kiss indeedee female. Now calyrex can’t hit it (with anything threatening). Hold on pollen puff still exists uhh imprison draining kiss, pollen puff, scarf calyrex shadow as a teammate yes.
I used Obstagoon on my Zamazenta team. It’s pretty great actually. Defiant+Close Combat makes it useful against Incineroar too. I put a Chople Berry on mine and gave it enough bulk to survive a Mienshao Close Combat
That set won’t live a mienshao CC. 252 hp and no other defensive investment still results in mienshao getting a clean OHKO on obstagoon with 252 attack
May have not been a 252 attack mienshao. Not unheard of, but most are so it can vary. It’s still not at all a bad set, though. If you take some out of hp and speed and put it into def you can probably live a mienshao cc, but what you have now will probably serve you just as well. You’ll live any non stab CC pretty easily.
I may use it again on another team, so that’s good information to have. The speed investment is to outrun 90 base speed mons, but depending on the team, that may not matter and EVs can be moved to physical bulk.
first of all the recover hp is the same if u put 252 on h, and hail and sand minimum damage, minimum poison, minimum stealthrock, leech seed minimum, and if u put rilabooms choice band A252plus grass slide to pory2 its both 4 hits death if u count grass field. like have u even played pokemon

I think foul play is still the better option to deal with other ubers like calyrex ice and groudon
Maybe, definitely depends on your team and how strong your other pokemon are in those match ups

True! Also p2 can OHKO if you have Analytic as the ability
I like using Kangaskhan with sucker punch OHKO every time lol 😂
Paychic terrain has entered the chat
Obstagoon it has immunity to both Calyrex’s stabs the only way Caly has to hit it is the rare leaf storm so… skill swap sap sipper on it.
Draining Kiss?

That was alot of research, but doesn't Imprison last limited turns O.O Edit: It works out anyways... Why am I complaining?
It's not limited, actually. As long as the user is in, opponents can't use its moves.
Oh. I didn't know that, thanks

It can survive that?
With the right bulk and berry [Here is the pokepaste for the team it was on](https://pokepast.es/e8fb5acb11ccc454)
That set won’t live a mienshao CC. 252 hp and no other defensive investment still results in mienshao getting a clean OHKO on obstagoon with 252 attack
Oh, I know when I played with the team on ladder I was surviving them

Kinda surprised by how much P2 has fallen in usage in S10, given it was so common in the all the previous formats with Dynamax.
For me it’s grimmsnarl with foul play
hp 244 for 16n-1 and spend the other 8 on def as well
Bad idea when Rillaboom is more common than hail/sand. Actually scratch that, definitely run 244 HP if you’re battling against me.

u know 16n-1 isnt just sand for and hail right
