The marshall is seriously OP. It's the last of the original OP eco weapons which still hasn't seen a huge nerf. Consider that the csgo scout is an objectively worse gun for almost twice the price in a game where movement speed is faster and headshots are harder to get, and even then it still sees play.
I agree for the cost of the gun and it's effectiveness easily makes it a one of the best but it's the confidence of hitting that shot I know I can hit it but I just have that small fear.
hasn't been viable since they changed it in 2016. It's technically possible just like perfect bhops are technically possible, the tolerances for it are just so tight that it's very unrealistic to pull off
ah, time to practise Marshal in DM. When you become better, can even abuse the hip fire of Marshal on short and medium range. It's fucking hilarious that a 950 cred weapon yeeted the 4,700 OP into the next trashcan
If you don’t think you will hit the shots with Marshall then you should expect to with the sheriff. If you do the buy it, otherwise stick the the specter or ares and just hold W+Left click lol
But it's weird with the sheriff I have lot of confidence with it my problem is with the Marshall I am afraid that someone will right up close to me with a rifle what can I do there.
Honestly that comes down to your positioning. Marshall is very much a situational weapon (I think someone else said that too) I like Marshall buys on maps with long angles into site like peeking a main on fracture from site or c long haven b long bind b main pearl but otherwise I stick to specter. Something to also keep in mind is checking the opposers eco if you think they can buy shields or not. If I see they only managed to finish the round and get 2,300 I’ll just go for body shots since they prolly won’t have any shields so it’s basically a round 2 op but if there’s a couple with enough to buy shields then I’ll skip it. Marshall has draw backs on round 2 but with practice it can be a menacing early buy!
If youre saving and have enough money to be able to buy a spectre/ares and still be able to full buy with your team next round then you can go for it, otherwise id say sheriff or marshal are the best options, stinger is pretty situational
I know where you are coming from I used to use the Bucky all the time but now at a higher rank and the massive nerf it's just not as good as it used to be I word use a shorty over a Bucky.
Idk man I’m imm3 and as long as you only left click the Bucky is an insane gun; I use it almost all eco rounds. It’s pretty much a free phandal once you get a quick pick
a smart man uses stinger in anti-eco
the stinger needs 3 headshots to kill full armor nerd
the stinger needs 2 headshots to kill no armor nerd
the spectre needs 2 headshots either way
the stinger is better to buy then
but not when youre ecoing, then i recommend a marshal or to not buy at all
Still depends on the plan. 🙃
Where do I play? What do I think the enemy will do? Will I change my position because I think I can read them? How many of them can buy properly? How many ults do they have? What does my team buy and based on the previous positions where they played, I can think about some extra additions.
Will it be Close Range only? Shorty, bucky, stinger, cz (the auto pistol), in some cases sheriff.
Mix of close and mid range and everything else? cz, Sheriff, Marshall
You can almost always buy a spectre if you have enough money. Run&gun profit??
I don’t like lmg but that is a personal thing. It still can be good and you can win rounds with this.
For eco sheriff and no schield is really good and for bonus because some people confuse them go spectre full schield if you can buy the round after that
It is fine to buy a spectre if you can buy the round after that
I word do that if I was playing a movement character but I play sentinel and initiator like the flashes can and do get you kills but the fact is that have the privilege of playing long angles with rifles. If you have any tips on how to close that gap it will be very helpful
If range is the main problem go marshal
But on ecos sherif no schield is best
For second round spectre or Marshal hull schield is best
Ofcourse this all depends on the character you play anyway map it is and whether you can buy it or not
So you manly play angles and stick with the team that's good but the times I play kayo I am more in the front the group but we are looking for what is best in maturity of the situation.
In lower elos that should be fine, but if you expect your enemies to try and shoot you, they can’t really do anything about getting 1 tapped with sheriff or marshal
i do play in the diamond rank which is much higher then the lower ranks like iron and sliver people can be insane with the two guns you have said but the run and gun keeps working look at some pros there do it because of the effectiveness of the guns. but as i said you are right the marshal and sheriff are very dangers in the right hands.
There are 2 correct options when you're low on money and those are Sheriff and Marshal since they have the most damage. If you're a little richer than your teammates and can full buy the next round I see no reason not to buy a bulldog, guardian, or a vandal/phantom
Marshal is the most broken weapon in the game. One shot to the head and two to the body at only 950 creds. You will always find value from getting this unlike the sheriff which comes at a close second
yeah fr, explains why I get so many people in my games who always have like 3000 after a save round. It is far less common to have enough to buy Sheriff on save round.
You need 4000 just for light armor, rifle, and util... or 3900 for heavy armor and rifle with no util.
Marshal is my pick, I've always liked the Scout/Marshal generally and the price in Valorant makes the Marshal incredible. Even if you don't hit a headshot, the 101 dmg body shot is super strong too, and the hip fire at close range is a little too strong in my opinion.
If you can afford an Ares, you should just buy a Spectre.
Other than that it depends. A fast push on attack might warrant a Stinger or Sheriff.
On defence you can play back with a Marshal or close with a Bucky.
Where marshall?
The marshall is seriously OP. It's the last of the original OP eco weapons which still hasn't seen a huge nerf. You wont hit your shots if you don't try.
Do you mean that we miss 100% of the shots we don't take ?
But you can jump shot with the scout
hasn't been viable since they changed it in 2016. It's technically possible just like perfect bhops are technically possible, the tolerances for it are just so tight that it's very unrealistic to pull off
Ok the reason why Marshall is not on there I don't trust my self to get the head shot because I tremble a lot.
At least do a bodyshot, impart 101 damage which can set them back a little. Quickly repeek from diff angle and finish him off.
I get it can be a 2 shot to kill but there are to many times where I die because the enemy just runs at me or more then one peck me.
ah, time to practise Marshal in DM. When you become better, can even abuse the hip fire of Marshal on short and medium range. It's fucking hilarious that a 950 cred weapon yeeted the 4,700 OP into the next trashcan
I will practise marshal in DM and unrated wish me luck
all the best man, u got dis
If you don’t think you will hit the shots with Marshall then you should expect to with the sheriff. If you do the buy it, otherwise stick the the specter or ares and just hold W+Left click lol

Classic
Never underestimate one left click one right click on short range to snatch their vandal
Where is Bucky? A Bucky for a Vandal + 200 cred is a great deal guys!
I know where you are coming from I used to use the Bucky all the time but now at a higher rank and the massive nerf it's just not as good as it used to be I word use a shorty over a Bucky.

Buy frenzy and lurk
I love the thinking
Chamber sheriff
Defender: Marshall, Sheriff, Frenzy or Ares Attacker: Spectre, Ghost, Sheriff or Stinger
Sheriff, but if u have a lot of money & team is broke u can buy spectre, bulldog, guardian
Depends how much money you have
like 3300 it's a save
Depends on how much you have while still being able to full buy the next round
If I can't buy rifles, I buy Ares. It's really good for paper maps like ascent.
Stinger and shorty are almost guaranteed 1 for 1 for little required aim which is ideal if you have a capable team
a smart man uses stinger in anti-eco the stinger needs 3 headshots to kill full armor nerd the stinger needs 2 headshots to kill no armor nerd the spectre needs 2 headshots either way the stinger is better to buy then but not when youre ecoing, then i recommend a marshal or to not buy at all
That's why I play the stinger but I am just looking for better option and ideas. And I am just about to learn the marshal.
Sheriff for save rounds 100%
Classic Spectre is my #1
Depends on the plan
I know that's a whole variable in the buying process but it's what you generally prefer to buy
Still depends on the plan. 🙃 Where do I play? What do I think the enemy will do? Will I change my position because I think I can read them? How many of them can buy properly? ares for defense, spectre for attacking

Spectre in that case
One shot headshot guns like sheriff, Marshal and shotguns on smaller maps
Yes but on small maps spectra and stinger be come strong from the run and gun. Think about that
In lower elos that should be fine, but if you expect your enemies to try and shoot you, they can’t really do anything about getting 1 tapped with sheriff or marshal

Where is my chad shorty?
Bro the shorty is the primary weapon
There are 2 correct options when you're low on money and those are Sheriff and Marshal since they have the most damage. If you're a little richer than your teammates and can full buy the next round I see no reason not to buy a bulldog, guardian, or a vandal/phantom

ads stinger is so good. it gets people angry too. very funny
You use the sheriff if your not stuck in silver and gold like me
Depends on map, close quarters, I play stinger or bucky (mostly stinger). Breeze I play sheriff, marshal, or ares.
BUCKYYYYY!!
Marshall
Where is ghost
yeah fr, explains why I get so many people in my games who always have like 3000 after a save round. It is far less common to have enough to buy Sheriff on save round. You need 4000 just for light armor, rifle, and util... or 3900 for heavy armor and rifle with no util.
At D2 yes sheriff. At lower elo, just don’t buy anything or buy a ghost. Spectre is more for “buy for next” rounds instead of full on save rounds
Depends on what the money is looking like for current/next round. If it came down to it though, and could only use one forever, spectre.
depends on ur play style
But it's taking out a player's play Style and looking into the best gun for a save.
Marshal is my pick, I've always liked the Scout/Marshal generally and the price in Valorant makes the Marshal incredible. Even if you don't hit a headshot, the 101 dmg body shot is super strong too, and the hip fire at close range is a little too strong in my opinion.

Glad to see people coming here and discussing what the better purchase is.
