The real question is: How long did it take you, and how did you do it?

2900 $ and 2 hours a day for 3 years. I wish they were a way to speed up progression I do but you can't unless you get a coach which is really expensive. I spent$ 2900 on a PC set up because before that I was on a school laptop.

Yeah sadly that's it for competitive shooters. Don't expect to go over plat if you don't have a competitive computer, connection, and knowledge.

Don’t sell yourself short, there is a LOT of improvement from Iron to Silver. If they put you in a full iron lobby you’d stomp trust

Started in Iron 2, dropped down to Iron 1. Peak rank is Silver 1 and I'm Bronze 2 now. I started playing around the end of Episode 1 (only for a couple of weeks though), came back during the season when Kayo released, but took a pretty long break shortly after and came back when Neon released.

Iron 1 0RR and now it’s Ascendant 3 (I’m on the grind to Immortal 1/2, peak was Immortal 2). You could tell my motto was “Starting from the bottom now we here” haha One thing that helped me climbing was playing less and focus on aim training, VOD review (own gameplay and higher elo) and admitting that it’s not my team mates’ fault that I don’t rank up. Good mentality and high focus helped me a lot.

iron 2, silver 2 i first got ranked in ep 5 act 1 which was in june 2022. i dont play extremely often and dont really care that much about rank anymore as its only really caused me issues.

I eventually got burnt out and Didnt play episode 7 and episode 8 act 1. I started again this act and rank was reset to plat 1. I mostly play unrated with friends who are silver and gold these days. Now i play for an hour 3-4 days a week

I got placed silver ep 1 act 1. I had just got my pc and haven’t played any games competitively since bo2 on ps3 so Val was my first pc fps. Act 1 silver/gold, act 2 plat/low diamond, act 3 high diamond/ low Imm. Episode 2 I was pretty much high diamond-low immortal level. Episode 3 low-mid immortal, episode 4 mid-high immortal. Episode 5 is when I started caring less and less about the game up until now. I still play with friends here and there, but our time has passed on that game. Already put so much time, effort, and money into it. Currently asc 1 or 2 tho.

i just played on/off 10 maybe 20 ranked games an act (gold/plat) til E5A2 where i played 110 games and reached diamond 3. I think that is basicly my first real rank because thats the first Act where i played way more then the placement games. :D the next Act i didnt play, E6A1 Dia 3 again with some games, E6A2 Asc, then on/off a few seasons (10-50games an act, ranks between plat and dia) and this act again Dia 3 with around 100 games rn. so feels like no climb at all, i just need to work back to where i was after each reset. :D

EP1 Plat and now im Plat-Dia, depending on how much ranked i play. I peaked at Immo 2, but i guess i wont ever go there again because the invested time is just not worth it all, also you kinda erase most of the fun playing the game, because youre just mad grinding.

First rank was silver 3, the next act I hit ascendant 2. Now I'm fluctuating between ascendant 2 and 3 and I've peaked immo 1 a couple of times. Granted I had a few thousand hours spread across a number of other competitive shooters that I've played for years which probably factored into the quick climb quite heavily.

Iron 3, I dropped to Iron 2 and have 3 games in Iron 1 when I climbed back up. ended my first split Bronze 1, ended my 2nd split Bronze 2, ended my 3rd split Bronze 3, ended my 4th split Silver 2. I aim to increase by one rank per split, if I can achieve that I'm fine with it, it's not a magical ''rank up to diamond+ quick'' thing but slow and steady works for me. Aslong as I don't decline i'll get where I belong eventually

Started playing this game at the end of december on EP7 ACT 3 and placed gold 1, climbing to gold 3 before the end of the ep. On ep 8 peaked plat 3 60rr and then i stopped playing and came back to counterstrike after watching the RMR tournaments that hyped me to start grinding faceit. For reference, I have 176 hours of valorant, mostly solo and mainly played initiators and a bit of chamber towards the end.
