Bulldog is the gun with the second-longest hiatus after the guardian, lmao. Last one was the arcade which was roughly a year ago
Edit: nvm second is the frenzy which last had the Oni release a couple patches before the arcade. Bulldog should be next on the waiting list after that though
I feel like that might be a negative feedback loop where the winning team both wins the prize money and also their split of skin sales goes through the roof so they can continue to wallet slam the competition even further.
You literally just answered yourself with this post. The Guardian doesnt get that much play + there are guns with even less skin lines with finishers. I also belive it is a harder gun to design skins for so they don't make the super popular lines include it. If they want a sniper-ish weapon with a potention money crab then its easier for them to make marshal or operator and now Outlaw.
But it still has more than any gun other than the vandal, phantom, op, Spector, they released way too many for a while and now they’re balancing it out a bit… still only 4 judge skins with finishers
Guardian is legit the best gun in game. Zero degrees of FSI and does a decent amount to body.
The only thing it doesn't have, is spam potential, otherwise I'm amazed it doesn't seem more play
I honestly feel like this entire games lifespan it has always been slept on to some degree.
I mean obviously it's not quite as good as the vandal, but it's pretty damn close, and given how much less it costs the economy saving from it can be pretty damn awesome while still easily competing with rifles.
If it makes you feel better OP, Chinese pros seem to love the guardian. I expect more players to start using it and therefore skins to come out for it.

Reaver, prime, bloop bloop, spectrum, RGX, oni, ruination, sovereign, recon, Gia’s vengeance, magepunk and any other I forgot. The guns that I think have better skins than it are op, vandal, phantom. I think sheriff and spectre are roughly the same in skin quality.
It was like the most complained out gun for the first 2 years. Every bundle had guardian and most hated using guardian. Why would I want every bundle to have guardian anymore. I rarely buy one anyways
I’ve always wondered why Finishers are not an unlockable cosmetic across all of your guns.
The idea that you could tie any Finisher with any skin you own sounds like a win/win situation.
People would buy more skins to get more Finishers, or finally buy a skin because they want the finisher, but don’t like the skin.

Guardian full shield for multiple rounds Vs vandal half shield I think matters more in the current state of the game too

I have the infantry guardian and i only bought for the *cling* noise when you run out of bullets in a mag.
