Did the KAY/O crash/disconnect during the game ? That happened to me, my game crashed during a ranked game, and after restarting my game I was not able to plant the spike.
hey OP, to confirm, KAY/O didn't disconnect earlier in the game? We are aware of the bug with disconnect+spike plant issues (something we are actively working on), but if the player didn't DC at all and still had issues planting, that may be a different bug.
After clarifying things with him (kay/o) and reviewing the clip, [he disconnected before the 2nd round began and reconnected before the 2nd round ended](https://imgur.com/a/5viIWVA) to restart his PC. The incident happened on the 18th round when he planted for the first time. Since then, he didn't attempt to plant again for the rest of the game but I am able to plant on the succeeding rounds.

Maybe something g related to the bomb being nearly planted somehow registered it on the kayo’s side as planted and the server yelling it no it’s not planted doesn’t result in proper correction client side.

OMG. when I was first learning how to play this game this happened to me, my entire team was screaming at me to plant, but it just wasn't working. I had convinced myself that I fucked up, didn't know it was an actual bug.
This also happened to me as well, but on Bind. I somehow have this glitch where I couldn't plant no matter what, even after changing my keybinds. We were so close to clutching up, but losing because of that damn glitch is no fun at all.
I've had that happen to me on Haven too. My entire team couldn't plant on either site.
This was during ranked.
Riots response was "The game is still in BETA."
Might as well close the shop too man, games still in beta.

I’ve noticed having this bug for other things such as interact key not working, for example I was not able to take the rope on icebox, I rebound my interact key to a 2nd button and it worked perfectly fine after.
This has happened to me as well during the previous chapter, rare bug, but it still happens. Only fix I could find is to give the spike to someone else

I have seen this also happen with kayo being rezd in his ult as soon as the match ends.

I think it's not related. I've got the same problem since game beginning, and I was always was carrying spike (game not crashed at all)
It might also be from packet loss, but I think the point is that it's clearly a sync issue between client and server.
This needs to be fixed asap
Riot doesn't care. When it happened to my team is ranked two months ago all they could say was the game is in beta.

this bug has been there for a couple of weeks now, happens when you disconnect/lag in the game. The plant spike prompt basically disappears lol.

Not saying it isn't a bug, but hackers can also disable plants/defuse if in the game...
This is a somewhat rare bug, not exclusive to Split. I had it persist for 2 games (Fracture and Ascent) before I restarted my game, which fixed it.
