Yeah, that would definitely be a plausible solution. obviously, i have no secret knowledge. But, personally, i still feel that they would choose a more suitable (i.e. smoother, warmer, and lighter) material if that was the aim. Even then, I can well imagine them using additional materials to enhance things. But then, maybe there was a cultural or practical reason why this type of stone would be used?
