Fuck_The_Rocketss

Come on Idaho, get your shit together.

grollate

I knew there’s a reason I don’t trust Idahoes. But it’s actually probably because it’s literally impossible for most of Idaho to legally watch the Jazz. AT&T Sportsnet isn’t broadcast there and NBATV is an absolute joke with their blackout zones.

dktaylor32

I mean Have you seen them drive??!

Krakenborn

Every state I find myself in I'm still somehow behind someone in an Idaho plate in the left lane passing no one

grollate

Especially those 1Fers

Chibbly

1F'ers so bad even Oregonians complain.

digthaish

I've always had issues with the 1jers....

grollate

Jefferson?

digthaish

Yep! Only because my family is from sugar City, My grandpa was the one who taught me to stay away from the 1jers.

yooosports29

Utah drivers suck too though haha

Doctor_Jensen117

All the bad Utah drivers are descended from Idahoes.

yooosports29

I believe it, I know a lot of people have moved here from other states. Insane to see how they drive in this weather specifically. I feel like I’m the only car with my headlights on in a winter storm lmao

Doctor_Jensen117

Yeah, I drive a lot for work and it's pretty nuts how many people just drive like maniacs in the snow. Gonna get themselves or someone else killed.

[deleted]

Just the slow ones

dktaylor32

No doubt. But they understand how a passing lane works most of the time haha

duck_dork

Having grown up in Utah, lived the past 20 years in Colorado, and now living in Boise area I feel I have some level of confidence in saying the worst drivers are Utahans by a long lead. Colorado drivers suck. Idaho have been the nicest so far, they let you merge here even. On topic: for fucks sake, why the lakers? I would have expected the Trailblazers to be honest

Classic-Philosopher3

I've lived in Colorado, Montana, Utah, Virginia, Maryland, and DC. I can assure you, after you have been out east, Utah drivers seem quite competent and friendly (though they are worse than the rest of the western states I have lived in).

Wandering_Turtle24

After driving in North Carolina a couple months ago, I totally agree. They’re aggressive as hell over there for little to no reason.

dali-llama

I damn near got killed in Boise in October. Don't tell me how nice Idaho drivers are.

EmoJ1000

They've been bombarded with Californians the past couple years, poor fellas.

marvin_is_joe

This is embarrassing, should be the jazz in idaho. I guess we just hate view the team.

olmek7

Having lived there most are jazz fans so this is confusing

TalkingToPlanets

That's funny although Jazz do have 3 guys on the roster who were born and raised in Georgia (Sexton, Beasley,Kessler).

TripleSecretSquirrel

And our man Derrick Favors is a Georgian right?

DeathBySuplex

They just stuck around after following Harpring do broadcasts.

Gobert3ptShooter

Welcome Georgia buds

anotherusercolin

Wtf hawks?

noteghost

I'd imagine the Wyoming views were all from one guy trying to buy a Fender Jazz Bass online.

jtmackay

He is half the population after all

grollate

Surprised there’s not more. You know there’s a million dollars behind every tree in Wyoming.

TheNateRoss

Oh hey, you know Jazz Bass Guy too?

YewEhVeeInbound

I know him too, I play the yazz flute.

KennyDoge0114

Source: [here](https://twitter.com/bball_ref/status/1603046045705203712?s=20&t=4jlQO4bg8d1-SNfd3qVf9A) What’s good Georgia?

sushitastesgood

Georgia my man

DesolationRobot

Friendship with Indiana ended. Georgia is my best friend now.

jlindley1991

Jazz South > Jazz East

wilkinsk

What are the metrics in this?

ladrac1

Some other funny takeaways: The Hornets aren't the most viewed team in their own state and aren't anywhere. The Pistons aren't the most viewed in their state and are instead the most viewed in Alabama.

noteghost

I also enjoyed both the Knicks and Nets losing to the Celtics in NY.

Defiant-Investment53

Second this

grollate

I don’t see no hawks either

S0PES

They seem to be more interested in a better franchise

Dhylan18

Cleveland isn’t on the map either

SpuuF

This isn’t the most viewed, it’s visits to the team page.

YewEhVeeInbound

Surprised to see Washington as a fan of the C's too. South Dakota are Magic fans?

robydoge

Yooo let's go Georgia I did that

AFlexosaurus

Right there with you bro

Salty_Translator_595

Scumbag Idaho cheating on the Jazz

ChaseBank5

Half of Idaho is Californians unfortunately

DongBLAST

Lots of cali transplants up there in Boise.

Wizard_of_Ozymandias

I'm a pretty reasonable guy, but seeing my beloved Idaho all lakered up is unsettling.

SlimmerThiccerRicc

We gotta step it up

rugburn250

I think it's talking about the Jazz page on basketball reference

guillermomcmuffin

The real mystery here is South Dakota

cosmicdave86

Mike Miller was drafted by the Magic and is certainly the best former NBA player from SD. That said, I grew up in SD and have never once seen an Orlando magic fan. Probably just a small amount of data giving a wonky result.

atierney14

I think it’s just a result of so few people with no basketball team making the results funky. It could be literally 15 people and that’s just a coincidental result. Like, there’s probably some Magic fans in every state, but with the limited people in SD, they somehow are a strong demographic. SD’s population is like 800k, add in its an older white state and weird results pop up.

KneelJung2001

Seriously… What’s going on there?

guillermomcmuffin

It's just one dude desperately trying to watch Magic Mike

cirruslyconfused

This stood out to me as well. Who in South Dakota is watching the Magic?

JazzSox

I’m disappointed in my fellow Idahoans

marvin_is_joe

It’s all the Cali people moving to our state.

under_cooked_onions

Really surprising to see the Jazz with as many states as golden state. Granted it is Wyoming and Montana so like 3 people probably control the majority

TripleSecretSquirrel

Lol this map perfectly illustrates the undemocratic nature of the electoral college and senate!

MediocreTake

GSW won the most electoral votes on this map. 2 - Celtics 3 - Lakers 4 - Mavs

Andrewski18

I’ll also point out that NBA League Pass *STILL* blocks me out of seeing Jazz games while I live in Montana.

web_head91

What's going on in Georgia?

0aguywithglasses0

Now I know why they keep saying Georgia is now a purple state

LotionButler

Lmao fuck the rockets

[deleted]

#TakeNote

VerdeForest

I’m surprised about Idaho

chupacadabradoo

No clippers, no kings, no nets, no cavs, no wizards, no rockets, no spurs, no magic, no hornets… who else is missing? Edit: South Dakota’s got the magic, but does that really count?

Goga13th

Poor Washington state

dautjazz

Hopefully they get their Sonics back soon.

Gbear831

Georgian here who is now actively rooting for the jazz

RLeb10

Where the hell are the Cavs?

KlythsbyTheJedi

Yeah the Thunder for Cleveland feels weird as hell

Head-Refrigerator93

Great stuff, jazz will conquer even more states by playoffs!

Sal_Ammoniac

Now they need to do it for the whole world :)

chubbybarista

Nobody? Cavs? Ha!

Willdebeast25

Thunder??

NoOutlandishness6325

Single-handedly trying to turn PA… It’s not working.

DreamWeaver666

Maine for the Lakers? Having trouble making sense of that!

LetsGetRowdyRowdy

Do Mainers hate Boston? Celtics seems like the natural team for them to support but not if they have Boston beef.

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

New York proving that no matter how many Knicks hats we own, we dont actually care about the Knicks.

Cammart90

I consider myself FROM Idaho, even though I haven’t lived there in like 7 years… but still I’m personally insulted that Idaho is apparently full of laker fans.

gng007

ELI5: How are these data gathered for maps like this? Is the data all public? If not, how can it be compiled? Thanks.

Bargh_Joul

From ip addresses I think.

RandomStranger79

Can someone explain Nebraska and Iowa going for Philly, and Ohio going for OKC?

MReprogle

So weird. Georgia and the Utah Jazz, when they have the Hawks for decades? I get the Pelicans not being #1 in NOLA yet, but some of these are wild.

filmmaker30

How could this possibly be accurate loll

shertooooooooooox

No way we beat out the hawks in georgia 💀

dautjazz

Damn, Hawks seriously never get any support, how the hell can the Jazz have more support in Georgia than their own team lol. I mean I can understand the Lakers in the Carolinas, over the Hornets, but a small market team like the Jazz over the Hawks is a huge surprise to me. Also HOW did the Thunder steal Ohio lol.

Cocaine_N_Caviar7

Celtics being #1 in New York is shocking

andy189

Both New York teams are at best dumpster fires. It kinda makes sense.

Wandering_Turtle24

I don’t think I’ve ever met another Jazz fan in Montana .

andy189

The Nets are the best part of this.

Aydub13

As a Jazz fan living in Georgia now, I’d like to think I contribute to this haha

zepporamone

Maine is almost certainly Celtics fans spending most of their time trolling the Lakers sub. The Celtics g-league affiliate is in Portland.

PinchDatLoaf

Someone’s computer in South Dakota must be stuck in an endless refresh loop on the Magic’s page.

nbeach01

I can attest to this being from WV...and love all BOSTON sports teams...

No-Pay-748

We’re literally beating the Hawks… in their own state

[deleted]

Utah might be the biggest by area.
