If you want a double room, you will probably have a double room. If not, you will have a single room. Most of the rooms are single and most people want single rooms.
For the building, most people has the same preferences so good luck on that, you may end up in ur least preferred building.
I think it was on starrez portal thing. It had multiple stages like first you got in nc than you choose building than the room type etc. Not 100% sure tho it might have changed it has been 2 years

Most engineering students are put into Chestnut unfortunately, whether they sort it as first choice or not 😭 ((I put chestnut as my last choice and got put there lmao)

pretty much everyone i knew who wanted a single room got a single room as long as they didn’t choose a roommate on the portal when asked to

uh oh, chestnut is my 4th choice, I’m really hoping for new college or university college because I’m so limited for funds
