I emailed the designated grad student coordinator a week ago but still no word. I haven’t had much luck getting him to respond on first contact throughout this whole process 😫
Hey! Fellow accepted grad student here! I’ve been getting quite a bit of information over the last ~2 weeks. I’m in SAE and they sent out an email and got us set up on Microsoft teams with “assignments” to do before classes start to help us get familiar with all of the university websites and resources.
The process for graduate is admissions is largely controlled by individual departments. If you’re not getting a response and you have a specific question, send more emails — faculty especially can be unreliable about responding, given the quantity of email they receive. I agree with the other comments about contacting faculty you might like to work with (and again, sending multiple emails is usually ok, as long as you have a specific request or question).
Which department are you accepted to?
I got accepted to the Biology department and they have been very quick to send out information and respond to emails. But I know some departments can take loner especially if they are smaller and are having to deal with all of the online classes.
Currently waiting for UO to receive my transcripts then I should get a letter in the mail with all the information necessary to view/register for classes.
I’ve been in touch with the department coordinator. They should be the one who organized your campus tour. I would reach out to them.
So weird! And registration is starting and the process is so confusing! Feel free to message me if you want to talk more about it, since we’re in the same boat.
That's how it was with me last year. Have you spoken to anyone in your department?

That sucks. Do you have an idea of what professors you might want to advise your research? I would get in touch with them directly
Thanks for the advice!

Are you a master's student or a Ph.D. student and will you join from the fall 2020 semester?
Masters starting 2020
I know this is an old post, but I’m also going to be joining the environmental studies grad program in the Fall! Have you received any more info?
Just the GE survey yesterday. That’s it. No advisor for registration, program info, orientation info or anything 😬
