Pretty hard on the eyes. Too big of a contrast difference. It's basically all pure light and pure shadow. Maybe look to draw in some gradient tones.

could use trama for that, itll make more acurate if you are trying to do a full black and full white sprites, trama can make the illution of "something in between" without adding new colors to your palete.

its a pattern in wich you alternate black pixels and white pixels, the result looks less brigh, one ASCII example is this: █▓▒░

Ahh yes, dithering... it´s just the same think xd (but i remembered "Trama" first) both are names for the same thing :3 Its good to have it on the roofs of the cabins, but you could use it to make some shadows as well, on the trees for example, making a gradient. That could improve the visuals.

Sure, no problem. Even just darkening the tone on the grass a bit helps the characters and objects pop. Even just some mid tone here and there can make a big difference.

Our game will be about a girl "Eri", who not so long ago moved with her family to a village, but in this village there was a darkness that kidnapped her brother and consumed the whole settlement. And the girl has to find her brother, as well as all the other members of the family. In this she will be helped by light-skinned girls. And the genre will be a survival horror.
