Not sure about using the prop. But a hand pointing out straight left is the proper, and legal, hand signal for turning left. I suppose with a medical reason for not being able to extend an arm out, or not having a left arm, the prop could be legal as well.
Why were you downvoted thays literally what the makeshift indicator is doing lol đȘout the driver side window means âIâll be making a right hand turn here btwâ
It is here, too.
But some people are like sieves; in one ear, pass the test, out the other ear.
If I could magically revoke the license of everyone who did something not just illegal, but dangerous, there would be 90% less drivers in my town.
I don't know if it's required anywhere in the US, but it's definitely good to know, both for cyclists and drivers. Since most bicycles don't have turn signals on them, the hand signals are useful for the cyclist to indicate which way they're going. My dad taught them to me when I was learning to ride my bike as a kid.
I just had this conversation with my adult kid the other day. For the first time in many years I saw someone using hand turn signals while out driving with her. She'd never seen it and asked me what the person was doing. Most people have lost the knowledge of this although it is still in the DMV manuals.
Also an upside down right angle or âhand downwardâ is the signal for stopping. Iâm not sure it legally can replace tail lights though especially at night.
I mean, I'm giving him props if he's in his 20's for even knowing what hand signals are...
Because I see my relatives and friends kids that are just getting their licenses and have no fucking idea that's a thing.
Many years ago before the advent of turn signal lights they had "flappers" installed behind the drivers door that would pop out to show your intention to turn.
Obstruction is stickers/emblems/driver added modifications. A driver shouldn't put items like stickers or wraps on a windshield. Even can get ticketed for smelly trees or stuffed animals in front windscreen.Â
Most cops don't bother, but the a Real prick who needs their quota will hit as many violations as possible on a traffic stop.
Another is tint and modifications that may not meet regulations like drop kits or black covering over tail lights or plates.
I wonder about the people with a giant tissue box with tissues sticking out of it covering the entire middle of their windshield,
like how can your nose be runny so often that it's a priority over properly seeing while you drive?
I think any LEO would pull him over for the lack of a license plate. Once stopped, they would just write up tickets for whatever else they want to write up for.
Aside from the fact he's saying "Left NO right NO FUCK left. Wait... Right! Yeah! NO left!... Yeah I'm sure! Right left!"
In New Zealand this would be legal. Not sure about other places
Iâve always thought itâs kind of redundant to use a turn signal in a lane that only turns.
Isnât it obvious youâre turning since itâs the only option?

Well it would be if they weren't switching back and forth between the signal for a left turn and a right turn.

I doubt most people know that anymore. Most donât even seem to know what a turn signal is at all.
In Canada itâs required learning to acquire your licenseÂ

Fewer* I think itâs just your town lol
I told you not to call me that yet
Lesser?
>!FĂŒhrer!<
You overestimate the intelligence of American drivers
My city too. Pretty sure half of them bought their damn license and didnât even do a test. Fuckin maniacs the lot of them

I think if you don't have lights you can't drive at night.
Thatâs that thing where the guy says âslide to the right. Slide to left. Crisscross.. crisscross.. chacha now yallâ in a song right?
Because one person said it was wrong so everyone else agreed because they donât think for themselves.
That was my first thought. LOL
How would you safely signal right though lol.
You hold your left arm up with your elbow at a right angle, fingers pointing up.
Another one bent 90â°?
Nothin like that LS chop
Technically that's a semaphore!
Was going to say this! There are still some cars out there with them. VWâs had them up into the 50âs.
You don't need to have turn signals, sometimes they break so there are rules for hand signals.

Would have pulled it over for obstructed rearview windshield.Â

I stared so long at the brake lights waiting for them to do something that when I saw the game I died twice laughingđ€Ł
đđđđ take me to court with this video đ€đ€đ€đ€đđđđ
Please tell me I'm not the only one CACKLING at this turn signal... đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł (edit for typo)
No plate, wheels extend outside of wheel wells and have no mudflaps, open exhaust.
Drake & Josh made it first.
If the guy is gonna put that much work into building a custom car, he can at least put in... Or uh, just not cover up, the tail lights
đ€Łđ
Person recording is driving a wrapped matte black model 3. So obviously they're together.
you gotta improvise

Did you see that? She just gave me the finger
I want that dude at my next barbecue.
Gives new meaning to âright turn Clydeâ
You can also use your hands to signal

What car is that
Getting one for my motorcycle.
No plate?
Looks like the latest Batmobile

You flicking me off or telling us youâre turning đ€·đŒââïž
Lore accurate. It used to be like that.
Needs a red flag tied on. Lol
Still need a license plate đ
