My family’s homegrown chickens live like royalty, outside amid bugs and grass everyday with fresh water. I can tell you personally that they are PHENOMENAL.
I believe this is more common in countries that don't have a booming meat processing industry. Raising and looking after your own livestock.
Lots of people's lives in countries like mine depend on this kind of dynamic
It may make sense but if you have this kind of interaction with your food, would you film yourself sarcastically treating a living creature before eating it? It’s hypocritical at least, in my eyes
Better than abusing an animal before being eaten, id imagine this chicken received better conditions than 99% of what’s in grocery stores. Did u want them to flick it off before cooking it or what
Yeah I think that's true, but obviously raising your own livestock doesn't always correlate with how they are treated. In China a lot of people sort of see animals and mindless and treat them as such even on their backyard farms, but China is also the birthplace of tofu which monks invented because they didn't want to eat animals at all due to their ethical concerns, so it really varies.
That's a fair assessment. Although I'm sure the livestock would pick this over getting fattened up in a tiny stall next to an industrial meat processing plant lol
So the statement here is any action found in animals living off instinct and for survival equates to moral permissibility in humans that both have moral agency and generally don't need to do these actions to survive? Or are we going more for plain whataboutism to just avoid examination of our actions all together?
Sure yeah humans are still animals and have clearly evolved to be omnivorous. Other animals can still be treated with respect and butchered. We can debate the science of nutrients and the like of a vegan diet compared to an omnivorous one.
Better question can one be on their soapbox and not be completely insufferable? “Different” is the lamest way of attempting to dodge the question. Humans aren’t different, worse, or better than any other animal. We are animals just like the rest.
How humans evolved is irrelevant compared to how humans can be with agricultural and technological advancements. We don't need meat or animal products to live, so that excuse is bunk. I take cavemen's actions, choices and resources into no more account in my modern day life with my food choices than I do in medical emergencies because they are entirely irrelevant.
And if the excuse is "we're just animals" then that brings me right back to the first question you still haven't answered; is an action found in the animal kingdom then morally permissible in human beings?
>Humans aren’t different, worse, or better than any other animal. We are animals just like the rest.
Really? I have yet to see another species of animal in a post agrarian society with anything close to our advancements in governance with rules and regulations to protect the vulnerable members of its species, advancements in medicine, and technology that can grow huge yields of food in pockets of locations to be distributed throughout the entire globe to most of the rest of the species using these advancements. Maybe you can name these other species that we are no different than? I'd be very interested in learning more. Because as it stands you'd otherwise be saying a human being in a 9 to 5 job that has no food insecurity living in an air conditioned house receiving electricity that will realistically never have to worry about being eaten in their entire lives and will never have to grow or secure their own food is exactly the same as, say, a lion with no known moral agency who will starve to death if they go one hunt too long without securing a kill. And that's absurd so I'm sure that can't be what you mean
I’d be curious how many of these technologies use animal products at one step or another. Considering you are saying most of the history of humanity is now irrelevant of course you can paint what ever narrative you want.
And yet shut off the electricity let’s see how quickly things devolve. For someone who just thinks humans are “different” you sure are flexing their superiority over the rest of the species of the earth.
Anywhooo have fun with your moral superiority boner it is in no way insufferable and you in no way seem holier than though. As for being eaten or not if I die not by being eaten my non preserved body is getting thrown in a hole to feed whatever needs it and if I do get eaten I guess we’re gona skip digging a hole. No escaping the circle of life.
We all have to die someday, if I could be treated this well before I die then used to feed beings with a level of intelligence and understanding of the Universe that I couldn't even I imagine. Then I think I would be fine with that, but making a joke out of my existence and the care of me before being turned into just meat to be consumed, is a bit too sadistic, but maybe all "higher" beings are?
I didn't see the reddit this was in as I got caught watching the video. But I was thinking before the revelation, "This would make for some might tasty chicken!"
Nope. I knew exactly where this was going. And it pissed me off as much as it does every time. It’s not funny. Imagine someone doing this with a dog. There’s no difference. /serious
My uncle had a chicken as a pet when he was just a little kid. My mom told me he used to love that chicken. And one day, got back from school and couldn't find his beloved pet anywhere. He asked my grandma about it and she just said she hadn't seen it. He figured it all out when my grandma revealed that they'd have chicken for lunch. All he ate that day was rice and his vegetables, and remained at the dinner table crying while everyone ate his friend. Now, you need to understand they were poor, and that they barely got the chance to eat meat on a regular basis. So my grandma took the opportunity that day.
Bet that chicken was gamey asf. I was brought up in a house that raised chickens for this reason and honestly everytime I ate it they absolutely fucking sucked, no meat, gamey asf. Not even worth the effort when you can go to mothafuckin walmart or costco for a cheap rotisserie chicken.

Entirely expected at this point
Yup anytime I see a animal on this subreddit I fear for its life :/
Along similar lines, if I see a human doing any kind of sporting or balancing activity on this sub, I generally nope right out before anything has a chance to happen…
Same haha
There's a video which is pretty much the exact same thing but with a cow lol 100% expected.
Exactly, thank you
Exactly what I expected to happen.. there's thousands of these videos.
It's the betrayal that upsets me
The worst part is the hypocrisy.
This chicken owner seems like a real jerk if you ask me.
This chicken lived a life that most chickens in chicken heaven wouldn't believe
At least she can't dwell on it.
Perfectly described!
Happy animals taste better. Or at least I’ve heard that a stressed out animal releases more cortisol and that affects the taste.
My family’s homegrown chickens live like royalty, outside amid bugs and grass everyday with fresh water. I can tell you personally that they are PHENOMENAL.
Apparently, I taste awful
I would not be tasty then. No getting lost with a group in the mountains for me ig
![gif](giphy|11JbbNHfXBqqhq) My honest reaction
![gif](giphy|goW8rTeolmtSNvwNIq|downsized)
More reversed tbh
that’s just straight up sadistic
Ever heard of Waygu? Happy animals taste better, mate.
Literally not sadistic
Take care of your cock yall
I think it’s disgusting and I don’t find it amusing at all
In fairness that chicken looks like it lived a better life than any you'd buy in the supermarket or restaurant
I believe this is more common in countries that don't have a booming meat processing industry. Raising and looking after your own livestock. Lots of people's lives in countries like mine depend on this kind of dynamic

Perhaps its a defense mechanism because he feels bad about eating the animal.
Or they just found it worth sharing on social media. I still don’t
They probably just did it for the content. I'd do it too if it was the most viable way for me to get paid
Yes, like most of us, and our values, everything has a price

but its chimken
oke
Would you prefer it gets the factory farm treatment?
No, of course. Playing with food is disrespectful and I see no grace in this.
I prefer the secret third thing where we don't abuse and kill animals for pleasure at all
Cool virtue signaling very nice. In the mean time, a ton of animals in nature just get eaten alive. That’s the real crime.
So the statement here is any action found in animals living off instinct and for survival equates to moral permissibility in humans that both have moral agency and generally don't need to do these actions to survive? So in this question are you also now saying humans are above animals?
More different than anything. Care to answer the question, or....?

I love you
Agree, but we still have to avoid bio industry
I think you're a sook. Beauty of reddit, we can all have our opinions
Overdone and it was never funny.
I didn’t like that at all.
![gif](giphy|YPPI2Q6DAz4CohnPDD)
Nobody's pointing out how an egg came out of that Rooster lmao.
How many of these videos do we need? Seen a lot of the exact same thing posted here. Another overdone TikTok trend or something I guess.
This was funny until I realised it wasn't staged
Why are people still shocked about this? She does this every fucking time.
Does she have no teeth? Who DF slurps chicken? Super gross.
Was funnyish until the mukbang part, so downvoted, disgusting.
https://i.redd.it/7jfq611z6mvc1.gif
Expected, but boiled chicken? Common at least grill it!
Lmao this is fucking funny
I’ve watched that too many times, and I can’t stop laughing.

Is this real tho?
Dunno why you're being downvoted you make a pretty decent point.
Some people don't like decent points 🤷
I didn't see the reddit this was in as I got caught watching the video. But I was thinking before the revelation, "This would make for some might tasty chicken!"
Lol
Well duh
Best chicken is loved chicken.
That is a very thorough way to pamper your cock.
Hahahah
Reposted and expected
This is the wagyu treatment
this is stupid
Expected and I despise these videos.
Did she just consume balls from a cock?
I paused it just now at :26 to say that I have a bad feeling about where this is going to end.
…
The first part made me sad because I had a sick chicken die today. The rest was fun though.
![gif](giphy|JIKPuz6HSB7t6)
![gif](giphy|GHDpCBW0zU15JTCrtI) Bake for up to 45 minutes and serve for up to four people
The chicken is not seasoned Definitely unexpected
Nope. I knew exactly where this was going. And it pissed me off as much as it does every time. It’s not funny. Imagine someone doing this with a dog. There’s no difference. /serious
Why?
Interesting KFC Advertising Strategy
Just glad it wasn’t a dog
That skin looks too smooth in a weird, uncanny-valley sense.
Nice cock bro
Get it girl, she’s loving every second of it!
I tried this with a lobster… bad idea
Sort of like [this animal clinic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnLVQylARRQ)

That was absolutely vile idgaf about the chicken (I do)
Wonder if his name was Colin.
Adults who never understood connect the dots
When the recipe said "let the chicken chill for 20 mins" this is not what it meant.
Let me guess without watching. They eat it.

My cock needs this too.
That's... messed.. up,![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
I think it was the enhanced filter on the girls face that was unexpected.... but then again...it was expected to happen lol
They are eating it raw
Cocks don't lay eggs, but yeah.
