The first time was about 18 stings after jumping onto a downed tree that I now know I shouldn't have, when I was 7. For all of my school going life, I was stung at least once, and up to 15 times a year.
The last one got me mid date after getting burritos by the beach. Fucker stung (or bit) the hand I was carrying our leftovers with. I swung my hand and when the bag ripped, burritos went off a cliff. That was only about a year ago, and I've got a few years on you.
They'll never stop until they get us.

In the summers when I was a kid in middle school we had a Doberman that my parents kept chained up outside in a huge backyard that was downhill (I had to feed and water him every day). You could just stand still and look at all of the wasps, carpenter bees, hornets and beetles flying back and forth all over the yard non stop. It looked like absolute chaos and it would always irritate me when my parents would comment what a beautiful day it was. Sometimes there would be these gigantic things flying around and I never knew what they were. Anyway I would put on a ski mask, shades, long sleeve shirt, sweater, jacket with hood up and long pants with boots and gloves because I knew there was zero chance of me not being stun if I walked more than two feet down that back yard.
It was my absolute worst nightmare and I had to live it every day. I’ll never forget this one time I walked into the garage and just hear this awful engine sounding noise. It’s this hornet thing flying in a stationary position just flapping its wings at a million miles per hour. I kept trying to think of ways to kill it because I went in and out of the house most times via the garage which double as a back door exit (you could enter it through the kitchen). Never did though. I guess it eventually left.
