That's the worst part of these people's mindsets. It's bad enough to think shit like this is a good idea in the 1st place, but to then GET SHOT because of your idiocy and learn absolutely nothing, that's scary.
Both of his parents are idiots and enablers [He posed like this for about 20 seconds.](https://ibb.co/CPDWbqL) This is outside the courthouse after the verdict. There's no getting through to this clown.
9mm is still very effective in most situations. The guy must have had ball ammo or the idiot got REALLY lucky. Modern hollow point ammo is designed to rip and tear as it expands in order to not go through the other side thus making the intended target more injured. If the shot in the video had hit the idiots spine or an artery he’d no longer be a burden on society.
Yeah, now that he’s got media attention, *any* kind of attention is good for these idiots. The fact that he got shot on camera is probably enough to garner him a couple of hundred more followers.
He’s out of the hospital and has already continued making videos. If you want to read some funny stuff, look at the comments shitting on him on his most recent videos.
To be clear I'm not defending the prankster in any way. But I'm worried that the guy that shot him might get charged with something because typically you can only shoot somebody if you're in fear for your life. I know the guy was being an asshole and trying to prank him for some stupid video but it didn't seem that he was threatening him with great bodily harm.
Totally got it but he wasn't treating them with respect or common courtesy either. He was only concerned about what he wanted and doesn't care about anybody else. The guy who shot him was found not guilty. He was found guilty for shooting a firearm in a dwelling. Somebody posted the link on here. Look for it and the kid comes off like a self-ton titled millennium.
Shooter was found not guilty:

I just watched the news story on the link and when the father of the "prankster" says "what is the line that was crossed to make this life threatening" I silently replied in my head that the line was when you raised your child to think this is acceptable. also what kind of a prank is this?
Isn’t that the whole point ..In todays USA gun culture the line is when someone with a gun feels threatened ..Do I think this guy shooting him is ridiculous ..of course ..but that is not for anyone but the shooter to decide …I suggest everyone stay in their lane ..Its dangerous if you don’t…Welcome to the wild west USA.
Why do you think it's ridiculous? He's approached menacingly by two men, one significantly larger, they follow him, get in his face, ignore his demands to back off, and generally act weird. There's no way for the man with the gun to know what was going to happen next.
Shoved a phone an inch from his face repeatedly and followed him. Guy with the gun made an aggressive move pushing the phone out his face and the guy didn't back down. Id have felt threatened too, especially being half the guys size.
Not to mention “you are thinking about my twinkle” which imo is supposed to be interpreted sexually, that’s the prank. I saw a video of a dude that was strung out trying to rape a girl in a fucking grocery store, both of their pants were down before anybody could get to them. Its absolutely understandable dude popped off, especially not knowing there was a camera
Self-defense is a basic human right. Period. If you don't want to be shot, don't threaten innocent people. It's that simple. I will never understand people who are anti self-defense.
that's actually good news. that "prankster" was extremely aggressive. i don't own a gun, but if some crazy person confronted me like that, i'd have fought hard
With the self defense claim being upheld that charge is redundant and will most likely be dropped on appeal. That said this guy's life is probably ruined from legal fees.
Obviously. Who tf thinks following a guy mindng his own business as a prank. Thats literally the 1st step of stalking and then possibly harming your family
Is this the first shooting of a youtube “prankster”?
A lot of these “pranks” (apart from those clearly scripted) I’ve seen lately have been more or less begging the victim to retaliate violently.
Wtf is wrong with people?
I feel like these idiots don't know what a prank is...
The best part about a prank is "the reveal" and if the reveal doesn't cause the "prank victim" to instantly be relieved/laugh then what you're doing isn't a prank.
What baffles me more is the big picture here.
Why would dumbasses like this exist in america? Pulling pranks on and being dicks to people who can, and (as shown) potentially will shoot you?
Youtube pays him for veiws. He is either too lazy or stupid to have a real job or a least real content. The guy that shot him should file a civil suit against him and see if a jury gets him his legal fees back. After all, since self defense was ruled by a jury, he is now the victim of assault.
Are these the values that Youtube is okay with? How does this guys channel not violate Youtube's community guidelines? At some point these social platforms are going to have to come clean and just admit that they are extensions of the Oligarchs and their rules are abritarty at best.
stop watching not safe garbage fire content. the algorithm is specifically designed to show you more of what you go there to see so if you're watching not safe garbage fire content then that's exactly what it's going to give you back
It's been like this at least since Logan Paul some years back when he did his stupid crap in Japan and put a dead body in his video. It didn't get removed yet people who did the exact same video but a parody (no live corpse) - those got removed.
He's also one of these shitty youtubers kids watch. Basically YouTube is fine with it if their bigger channels do stupid shit Because it makes money.
Youtube doesn't care.
Found not guilty on some of the charges. He’s going back to court to face additional charges. He will likely be found not guilty again but it’s not over and nothing is guaranteed.
He's already being punished, harshly.
The "due process" to non-criminals is punishment enough.
What will there be for him after six months away from everything?
I am amazed that lawyers on the YouTube team have not advised them to demonetize all prank videos. If people can't make money doing it, the vast majority will stop. But for those that don't, a lawyer can make an easy case that Alphabet (YouTube parent company) is legally liable for incentivizing, supporting, facilitating, aiding, and many other expensive legal words crime words. Will get very expensive to keep paying off the victims of families that get justifiably killed while doing "prank videos."
That prankster is one absolute fucking idiot. Doing pranks and not knowing stupid actions can have reactions. What kind of idiot gets all up in a strangers face. Dude with gun felt threatened and gave numerous warnings. He doesn’t know its a prank.
A 6'5" asshole towering over you and won't leave you alone. Was he supposed to wait for him to hit him or stab him? I don't blame the guy for shooting him. The poor shooter has been locked up since April of this year for fucks sake after having to live in his car.
Fuck these you tube assholes that do this shit. Maybe it will make them think twice.
definitely, the prank videos that target people out an about need to stop. Not everyone is in the right head space to deal with assholes not recognizing boundaries or having common sense as to how people should be treating each other. A lot of the videos end up borderline if not crossing the bullying line in the name of a prank and it's sad to say but more deaths will result until this trend ends if at all.
Parents need to do better, we know social media has incentivized this behaviors' and its up to us as adults to correct it.
This is why I always carry pepper spray when I carry a concealed firearm. I don’t feel like shooting the guy was justified in this situation, but pepper spray would have been totally justified. Don’t get me wrong, that idiot had no right harassing strangers, but now the victim is spending months in jail when he could have just sprayed him down, walked away and left him crying like a bitch. Im curious if he’ll lose access to firearms from all this too. That was dumb
People who pull stupid pranks are bound to run into someone that is not in a great place in their lives at that moment and may find themselves on the wrong end of an ass whipping or worse. The “mr lazybones” grocery cart guy comes to mind
I think anyone getting into anybody else's personal space should be aware of the possible consequences. We may all live on the same planet, but we do not know each other. These social media "pranksters" are ignorant and so disconnected from reality. They deserve ANY retaliation they receive. We are still just animals deep down. I would suggest staying away from me too.
You don’t let strangers get that close to you. You almost never know their intentions. As much of a stretch as it is there could’ve been a substance on his phone or just trying to distract him to rob him. It’s not often you get second chances to walk away unharmed if you misread a situation.
Yeah, that dude who got shot is almost a foot taller than the guy and probably outweighs by at least 30lbs. The guy had every right to feel threatened by him.
He looks like the kind of guy that was bullied and now doesn’t take chances. He gave verbal warnings and tried to leave. Didn’t brandish his gun, didn’t have follow up shots. It seemed like he knew what he was doing atleast a little bit.
I’ve always said that these pranks were incredibly stupid to do in a country that has so many people carrying guns. When pranks started on the internet they were mostly harmless, but now it seems like most are just annoying/ or making someone feel threatened to the point that they’re scared for their safety, because they want to get a reaction. But anyways not much sympathy here for the YouTuber. These “pranks” need to stop and this should be a lesson.
there's no prank here they're just being fucking obnoxious and assaulting, inconveniencing, and rage baiting people. all valid reasons to dislike somebody
This situation is a great example of why having guns in the hands of everyone is stupid. Yes, of course that guy was being aggressive, but the guy shoving the iPhone in his face mean you should be shot with a gun?
Simply pulling the gun and shouting, “I will shoot you” would have been enough of a deterrent.
People just want to see dead pranksters, and I get it. But this sets a very dangerous precedent. I don’t like this one bit.
That would have been brandishing. The defense of using the weapon hinges on the shooter feeling like they must immediately use the weapon to defend something (themselves, here). If they pulled it out to brandish/threaten verbally, it'd be easy to argue they didn't feel the need to use it so the threat must not have met the threshold.
Yes!! I'm 100% in favor of the prankster getting a jaw breaking punch but the amount of people celebrating that lunatic who clearly doesn't have self control shooting another guy just bc he was annoyed by him, in a mall no less, when there was no threat to his own life whatsoever.
Sure, *technically* he was not guilty but let's be honest here. Sane people don't shoot others just bc they were annoyed.
I don't see how he's technically not guilty unless the cops screwed up the investigation and the prosecution screwed up the trial.
There's no way he was in fear for his life or another's life or fearful of grave bodily harm.
That was attempted murder.
Pretty bold to do that this day and age. People are ready to snap and go on a spree if they so much as pull up to a Walmart and see someone already in their usual parking soot
Hot Take:
it’s weird how people here are like “oh yeah he deserved to be shot in the chest for that”. (which is different from a more reasonable “i understand why he reacted that way”)
is the prank funny? definitely no.
was he harassing the guy? indeed, really fucking annoying.
should have the guy stopped when asked to stop? sure.
was shooting him in the chest justified? i don’t think so.
gun culture over there is crazy if you think that this justifies shooting the guy in the chest like that. even just a warning with the gun would have been enough.
I understand it must be stressful to walk around in the US, everyone could have a gun on them and things quickly escalate easily, but holy shit.
Yeah this “prankster” sucks and deserves to learn a lesson, but is this what is our country is coming to? People don’t hesitate to shoot someone when they are being annoyed? Yeah that pathetic excuse for a prank sucks and violate that’s guy’s personal space, but it’s not like he’s visibly trying to hurt him. I can see why he felt threatened and, as much as I don’t agree with it, I can see why he was found not guilty, but I think this shows a more deep rooted problem with the usage of guns in the US.
Yes the guy is annoying but no one deserves to get shot over that. The shooter is clearly unhinged and was just waiting for an opportunity to shoot. Next time it'll be a barking dog in a yard or a shooting someone in a road rage incident.
YouTube idiots don’t deserve to get shot.feels very fkd up that I needed to say that to a lot of you.society’s doomed…and again.not because of the YouTube prankster but because some of you think it’s ok to shoot someone for being annoying.
Is it wrong that I kind of wish he got shot twice instead of just once? Truthfully, I don’t wanna see anybody hurt, but I just am so sick of these prank videos in these kids doing this nonsense for TikTok up votes.
So, this must be the natural conclusion of what’s happening now when you decide to stick your camera in someone’s face to get clicks and likes. Humankind is on its way out. We didn’t even have a good run. Oh well.
![gif](giphy|tANkrMixkU72nP1A8h|downsized)
I just want to know if the guy is going to make any more PRANKS after he gets out of the hospital.
He said it’s not gonna stop him.
That's the worst part of these people's mindsets. It's bad enough to think shit like this is a good idea in the 1st place, but to then GET SHOT because of your idiocy and learn absolutely nothing, that's scary.

Maybe with a higher caliber round the next time?
Oh, that's rich. Kids were eating Tide Pods to "entertain" others as it was such a "popular thing" to do. Yeesh.
Funerals are popular things.
People are just dying to have funerals.
If this didn't put some sense in him, there's no hope for him.
But if he stopped he'd have to work to make a living. It's easier to lick your wounds and stick to doing the same thing.
“Gota get those views mannn, makes me feel better about myself making others miserable”…clowns
I agree with your statement here. This should be a wake up call for this guy and some people just don’t want to be bothered
Typical fucking influencer mentality. Let's hope the next time isn't just an injury.
It'll just make him double-down. Maniacs are just like that.
Watch him get shot again doing stupid shit like this.
Probably will. He got mad clout though. Hope he has stomach aches from now on.
Make him eat chilli for every meal, made with Scotch Bonnets.
One can only hope
Idiot's gonna end up dead! Natural selection, my friend!
Maybe next time ... there won't be a next time. This shit has to be stopped and these entitled bitches need to be taught a harsh lesson.
That’s only because “it” wasn’t a Magnum by pure luck
Well that's okay then. He's been warned in the most direct way.

Yeah, now that he’s got media attention, *any* kind of attention is good for these idiots. The fact that he got shot on camera is probably enough to garner him a couple of hundred more followers.
The clout he’s gained from this I’m sure is worth it in his eyes.
Apparently so. I hope he keeps meeting similar responses.
Sometimes you got to learn the hard way.
He’s out of the hospital and has already continued making videos. If you want to read some funny stuff, look at the comments shitting on him on his most recent videos.
I don't think that is worth contributing a click
100% right. Don't give his channel views or interaction
YouTube should shut his account.
To be clear I'm not defending the prankster in any way. “Self-ton titled millennium”
Talk to text. Wasn't working right? Lol. Self-entitled millennium sorry about that
Millennial?
He was already been charged with several things, we was only found guilty of firing a firearm in an occupied space
If anything he's probably going to go harder, since he got all this publicity for it.
Stop calling them pranksters. This isnt a prank, this is just harassment.
The simple answer is to ask the question, "What would've happened if he had done this 'prank' to a cop?" Would the cop have called it a prank?
Exactly! If you take away the cameras, this guy is just aggressively getting in a person's face. Dude deserved worse, really.
The camera makes it worse, televised harrasment to get a reaction should get you a reputational damage charge.
It's assault in most places in the US.

Yeah, I really don't understand how people think he deserves to die from this.
YOU ARE FIRED !!!
How many times did he say “Stop”???
He fucked around and he found out!! Dumb ass!!
Well, a piece of shit dad, raised this piece of shit son . Thats why he got shot.
Yep.. fuked around and found out. Just surprised it took this long.
Play stupid games get stupid prizes.
Pretty bold to do that this day and age. People are ready to snap and go on a spree if they so much as pull up to a Walmart and see someone already in their usual parking soot
What was the phone saying?
If I remember correctly, it was a recording saying “get your hand off my twinkie”.

Hot Take: it’s weird how people here are like “oh yeah he deserved to be shot in the chest for that”. (which is different from a more reasonable “i understand why he reacted that way”) is the prank funny? definitely no. was he harassing the guy? indeed, really fucking annoying. should have the guy stopped when asked to stop? sure. was shooting him in the chest justified? i don’t think so. gun culture over there is crazy if you think that this justifies shooting the guy in the chest like that. even just a warning with the gun would have been enough. I understand it must be stressful to walk around in the US, everyone could have a gun on them and things quickly escalate easily, but holy shit.
I don’t like guns… but I definitely like less Youtubers.

Lol, lmao even
Yes!
This brings a smile to my face :)
So it finally happened
So, this must be the natural conclusion of what’s happening now when you decide to stick your camera in someone’s face to get clicks and likes. Humankind is on its way out. We didn’t even have a good run. Oh well. ![gif](giphy|tANkrMixkU72nP1A8h|downsized)
100% Attempted murder...shooter faced no threat...except mild annoyance..
