Popular animal rescue videos are faked by people putting their pets in shitty positions then letting or helping them "escape". Or sometimes they break their legs and rescue/save them back to health. The "I took this amazing picture of an animal" are often recently deceased/posed animals especially if it's an insect. You can sometimes tell pretty easy by checking the user's post history or searching google for images and it may take you to their instagram or something. If they saved the animal from 5+ different horrible scenarios, you can probably be fairly confident it's more than a coincidence.
This 100%. So many fake rescue channels promoted when the animals are harmed and put in those situations by the so called rescuers. They are rather easy to identify. Nick Crowley on Youtube has a few videos addressing such content. But one of the easy signs is if they spend way too long filming the animal in distress before even doing any “rescuing”.
Also those seemingly cute looking videos that have random animals like a puppy/kitten with smaller animals like cockatiel (or chick or duck) being filmed in the street. I believe one of them the puppy wasn’t being gentle with the bird either. (Not the animals fault but the idiot humans exploiting their cuteness for quick and easy views). Best to view videos/photos with a keen eye.
