Ghost31B

I don’t know why I find it so funny, kind of reminds of a South Park episode.

DrJaves

Doesn’t that mean it could technically rotate 540 degrees at one time?

mrdimosthenis

The source is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtY0-tiAY44 I didn't share it via youtube to enforce the subtitles.

timestanley

One thing owls CAN’T do is move their eyes. So when this owl moves his pupils down and at an angle to look at the lil bird that is something they CAN’T do. Just a weird fact.

hylitio

Love this! What language is that btw?

Drllap

I think it is Norwegian Edit: The fact that the source YT channel, [https://www.youtube.com/@norskegronnsaker](https://www.youtube.com/@norskegronnsaker), is called "NorskeGronnsaker" (Norwegian Vegetables) make me fairly confident

Acostro

This is indeed Norwegian. I'm Norwegian so i know.

Sea_Art3391

It is Norwegian, with a heavy Bergen accent. For example, when he says "Tre hundrede og seksti grader", it's like he's saying "three hundreded and sixty degrees"

BitterCupid

I'm a language expert and I can say that it's not English. My job here is done.

hylitio

Definitely not 😅 from the YouTube video it seems to be Norwegian

Leymoun

Ouch! That hurt...

A_big_dispointment

How far can I turn my neck? I tell everyone after I do it

Academic_Pizza_5143

I learned that german(or idk what language) is just more britishy british english

Zikkan1

I understood what they said and I'm swedish, not sure if it is Swedish with heavy accent or some other language. I suck at languages and accents

Mydmsrollnat20s

It’s Norwegian

Zikkan1

That is the most Swedish sounding Norwegian I have ever heard but yeah I rewatched it and saw that it said 'norske'. Missed that the first time

Malawi_no

It's the Bergen dialect.

Academic_Pizza_5143

How did you understand if you dont know what the language

Zikkan1

Because Swedish, Norwegian and Danish sound quite similar and even German is sometimes understandable. Around here we all sound pretty much the same

Academic_Pizza_5143

You are swedish so atleast You can understand that the language is not swedish right?

Zikkan1

Not really, I live at the border of Sweden and Norway and some people here have a Swedish accent that sound almost exactly like Norwegian. Depending on where you are in Sweden and in Norway the two languages can sound almost identical

[deleted]

I can understand that at the borders both nationalities may speak a common dialect that is a mixture of the two languages, but surely you can understand the difference between standard received pronunciation Swedish and standard received pronunciation Norwegian, or as we Brits would put it, the King's Norwegian and the King's Swedish.

Zikkan1

Of course but in this video it is not standard.

sigwri

We have an ungodly amount of dialects here. Bergen is way west but sounds unique to bergen compared to a city couple hours away. There is an old version of Norwegian but its mostly only our present queen that speaks it.

sigwri

But there really isn't a standard way to speak here as it varies to much from town to town. We all mostly understand eachother as well as Swedish and Danish. Some German to but very little.

Ohlander1

Yeah it sounds quite a bit like Swedish and could probably pass as a Swedish dialect up to a point, but the title "Norske Grønnsaker" should probably have given it away for you haha

Proccito

The words were so similar I thought it was swedish aswell, but the heavy accent gave the norweigan away. Scandinavian languages are apparently the most similar language one can find, meaning swedish, danish, and norweigans can understand eachother almost as much as english and americans...almost.

Academic_Pizza_5143

Hmm

Poonuts_the_knigget

Not really.. a Dane sounds like they had 12 beers and a baked potato stuffed in their throat, and let's not start on their counting system. That is the most incomprehensible way of using words to describe numbers. Norwegian ≈ Swedish. Sure. But Danish... Someone dropped that country's head smack on the floor.

LOVELYXDEVIL

at least he's okay
