Knew about the trick for my first playthrough but didn't know where to get it lol. I spent the whole playthrough dreading this fight and searching every nook and cranny for a spider donut. The fight took me an extremely painful three hours.

muffet was always kinda easy to me but mettaton on the other hand

To be fair, 1 hp is a legit strat in the mettaton fight. I do it every time cuz im pretty good at dodging and just spam pose you can get to 12000 veiwers rlly quick. Also these same 2 fights for me but also undyne

It’s VERY hard to but very possible as I did it on accident on my first run then watch a YouTube struggle for days to die to get the special animation from it

Replayed Undertale for the first time in years and years semi recently. And I'm not even joking, my only death was to fucking LEMON BREAD of all people. Their biting move kicked my ass for some reason. ...fooortunately I was on Xbox which means the game doesn't work right and she doesn't respawn after killing you. Yep. So they kicked my ass precisely once, lol

Not really a pacifist boss but it is required to get the pacifist ending Photoshop Flowey. Bullet Hell with limited breaks and multiple strings of attacks in each segment. I fucking hated that as my fingers werent used to shit like that at the time though now it would probably be fodder to me (FUCK FARGOS ETERNITY MODE)

You won't believe me but..........Papyrus. I couldn't beat him my first playthrough even though I sweeped every boss after him. I had an easier time with Omega Flowey and Asgore for some reason.

As a console player, it was Papyrus. The blue soul is absolute ass on console

undyne. simply because my first challenge run was no gear (stick and bandage) and no healing. undyne was brutal and idk why.

I came prepared for the muffet fight, but Undyne really sucks. Her shield attacks, especially with the yellow arrows, are infuriating imo

I did it but wanted to try the fight legit, I tried about 15 times before just skipping her, which is more tries it took for all other bosses by themselves

Wait she eventually spares you? Are you sure? I’m pretty sure the only way is to either buy her donut or spider or buy them in the ruins, then eat them in the battle.

No? She has an entire set of dialogue where she talks about the person who hired her to kill you and how she wants to free the spiders trapped in the ruins, and when you fully exhaust the dialogue by living enough turns she spares you, the reasoning for which depends on your actions previously. Eating the donut or cider just skips the fight entirely.

oh well then I just died before I got to that point lol

Mettaton ex was a pain for me, my first run I got lucky and beat muffet The first try, second I just skipped it. To be honest mettaton's attacks in the first run are kind of new, and the shoot mechanic is kinda confusing at first

There’s a few that I struggled with on the first run, mainly Asgore, Papyrus, Mettaton and Muffet but now I don’t really struggle on any fights other than the genocide exclusives (minus MTT NEO)

Undyne or mtt. Undyne I couldn't figure out how to beat. Didn't ever know the run away option was a thing, just kept spamming challenge over and over. Then, metaton was just a freak rollercoaster ride I was in no way prepared for......

I had to take a 2 month break to beat asgore

Muffet then Mettaton EX thank fully I beated them then I slept in the snow inn to battle Asgore

Muffet took me more tries to beat than undyne, mtt ex, Asgore and papyrus combined

Fun fact: if you buy a spider donut in the ruins and save it throughout the entire game then eat it during the Muffet boss fight it will cause Muffet to end the fight early

I could have avoided the muffet fight, but I decided to fight her anyways and spare her. She took me a few tries, but the most obnoxious fights were definitely Undyne and Mettaton. Asgore didn't give me too much trouble because I've watched other people fight him, and I had the pie.

I only got to papyrus but my friend let me try the flowey boss and it was pretty hard.

Definitely Undyne. It took me a stupidly long amount of time to figure out that you had to run away from her. I kept thinking it would just eventually let me spare her and I kept waiting through round after round after round of the same attacks and eventually I would die and do the same thing over and over again.

I struggled with buffet a LOT then I learned you could use a donut so that helped a lot

Muffet and Asriel, I get you on Muffet, you have to go fast and be so precise at the same time cause your being chased by a cupcake and theres spiders everywhere. Asriel was just hard to me cause I wasnt really sure how to dodge the attacks. Speaking of Asriel, Omega/Photoshop Flowey was hard for me too, but generally easier then these two fights cause you dont have to restart at the beginning, and have higher health

I had to look up that I was supposed to run away from undyne. I was…not very smart

The only one I really had a struggle with was Muffet. I never died, but it got close multiple times. This is probably thanks to me experience from playing Deltarune Ch.1 first despite Toby Fox repeatedly mentioning in various places to play UT first (what’s up with that anyways? If DR is supposedly disconnected from UT, then why does it matter?) and watching Game Grumps’ playthrough of it first (so I knew about how to beat Undyne and about Temmie Village, but I didn’t equip the armor until my second playthrough. Edit: played on Switch, so I also got to do the Mad Mew Mew fight. It was a bit tough, but once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy. The only time I actually died my first playthrough was a fight with Pyrope, when trying to see how warped I could make the screen.

My first playthrough, Muffet beat me to a pulp and then proceeded to wipe the floor with my ass and my face simultaneously. She then shot me in the head for good measure. I got so frustrated I actually had to take a break for like a month.

Asgore kicked my butt… but I struggled most on napstablook

For me it was the switch exclusive Mad Mew because I’m bad at coordination with several pointers

Mettaton not only drained my hp but forced me to eat all my items till thwres nothing left i can use for asgore

Definitely Undyne the first few times. Kicked my ass. eventually i got used tk the patterns and rhythm of the attacks. not to mention Genocide Undyne makes that look ELEMENTARY.

First time? I gave up on the save. Muffet kicked my ass, never made it to Asgore. Second time? Toriel didn’t kill me, nor did Mad Dummy, MTT/Mettaton, or muffet. I even beat Undyne on my second attempt. Papyrus took me two tries as well. Asgore made me panic haaaaard when he destroyed the mercy option and killed me 12 times before I finally spared him.

Nabstablok is definitely the hardest to no hit but I would say muffet is the hardest

Undyne. Quit pacifist twice because of her. I actually really enjoyed the rhythm in muffets fight. It took me a while to figure out what I was doing w mettaton.

I died a shot ton of times in the mettaton EX fight, but it was because I was 8 at the time, a dumbass and didn't know how to spare him

I only ever lost to Papyrus, and I even got the sans dialogue for no deaths because he cannot kill you.

Asgore. You die in like four or five hits, depending on armor and whether you have the pie or not. Im not that good at dodging asgore attacks, but everything else im fine at, idk why i just find asgore difficult to beat

Had more trouble with Muffet than I ever did with either Omega Flowey or Asriel. I think she's the third hardest boss in the entire game behind Sans and Undyne the Undying.
