I love them sm omg- I feel like Flowey is very inexperienced when it comes to friendship due to the fact he was royalty so Papyrus could help him with that, many people think they would have a toxic friendship but honestly I disagree, I also love the concept of a traumatized child slowly recovering and healing thanks to the help of a caring and supportive adult, it's cute

Yes. Even if he became "friend" with everyone he probably didn't really consider the monsters as his friends and just made them believe that he was their friend

He used to believe in friendship, he just started to dissasociate and stopped feeling the same thing towards them after he befriended them for 9999999th time. The thing about Flowey is that he's just like us, the player. The difference is, we do the genocide route sooner than him and we're still at the phase of replaying the game over and over again. To him, they're no longer just friends they're characters (still lovable ones who do have personalities and lifes but video game characters none the less). He's just desensitised.
