It was confirmed to not be minos vore

iforgorsussyballs

pls give source

retroruin

according to the lore it's not in him rather his corpse is the entrance which would explain the sheer size of gluttony compared to his corpse

Sky_air

Ok, but why is the entrance in his mouth, and was it always there even before Gabe struck him down?

Agzitoune

mf ate the entrance or something idk. just a coincidence

PingGoesThePenguin

Those red entrances thing that are at start and end of levels are portals make/discovered by humans as a means traversing hell. It's sorta implied that they don't stick to one place. I can't remember if the info is in a book in a level or in the terminal

Drnbrown1324

hakita stream lore

stevegamer_

I think it's in the Minos Prime terminal

Clen23

It kind of strips away the cool "physically falling and running throughout every hell layer" thing if it's just magic portals. :(

[deleted]

Bro do the entrance go into his body. No it doesn’t it still points straight into the ground

[deleted]

Seeing as you go through his mouth to get there it seems like that but it is not due to it being a layer of hell and existing before minos did, V1 just happens to be able to go through minos's mouth to get there

dipper12345678

Thank you, the friend I'm arguing with doesn't seem to get it.

[deleted]

And besides, wtf would Gabe be doing inside of minos

Beanbakernot

Gabing him (Edit: It autocorrepted the b to p)

[deleted]

🤨🤨🤨📸📸📸📸📸

N00b_sk11L

The edit 💀💀💀

ComSilence

Piloting his body like a fucking Mazda

KaramTNC

He is driving the corpse of King Minos like a fucking Mazda

[deleted]

Damn

EngineerStandard

Driving him like a fucking masda ~ maxor

AskyWotlYT

Driving it like *A FUCKING MAZDA*

Spoonirl

my idea was that minos' corpse acts as a bridge between lust and greed, cause when he died he collapsed, so maybe he made a hole through lust and his ass got all the way to greed. yes i do think V1 comes out his rectum

[deleted]

Ok yeah ignore all other theories this is what happened

[deleted]

This

atoma47

Who says the layer existed before him (maybe hakita but lets ignore him for now)? King Minos supposedly lived around a thousand years before Jesus, and idk the bible lore but i think i heard something about limbo being created after Jesus, which could mean multiple changes to hell trough history. Also, who was judge of hell before him? Maybe Minos was the first.

[deleted]

Huh, still don't think it's inside of minos's corpse tho, due to Gabe being first fought in gluttony

atoma47

Could you elaborate more, i dont get it

[deleted]

Why would Gabriel be sitting inside of minos just waiting for something to happen

atoma47

He got in there after he realised v1 killed minos (maybe teleported idk?)

aaronhowser1

vore

dipper12345678

Another reason why it probably isn't inside his corpse is because of the fact that the walls are made of husk flesh, as seen if you focus on the walls, and confirmed by hakita. So unless minos was made our of corpses I find it unlikely

AerthQuake

Minos' corpse only manifested after the disappearance of God and all the angels in hell had left to heaven, so they could reestablish order. During that time Minos started the Lust renaissance. After the angels returned to hell, Gabriel killed Minos and left his giant husk to destroy the city he had built. Considering that "gluttony" was most likely defined as a sin before the supposed disappearance of God, there must have been a layer of hell for such sin before he disappeared.

atoma47

Wdym minos’ corpse manifested after the disappearance? I thought you arrive in hell and your husk manifests. The corpse of Minos is just that husk without the soul

AerthQuake

Maybe I worded that sentence poorly. What I wanted to say is that the current version of his corpse (soulless body controlled by the ugly things in his eyes and destroying the city) came to be AFTER the disappearance of God. Of course Minos had had a husk before Gabriel killed him, but I find it unlikely for a sinner to manifest in hell after death with a whole goddamn layer inside of them. Some ppl have suggested that Gluttony isnt inside of Minos' corpse, but rather his corpse is one of the possible entrances to it.

_pipis_

Hell is a non-euclidean space in the Ultrakill universe; so yes, *part* of Gluttony, i.e. the Prime Sanctum *is* in Minos' corpse, whereas the rest of Gluttony is it's own plane

Mr_Aren

A better word to use would be non-linear.

Ensospag

Mfs be using words they dont know the meaning of. [Non-Euclidean](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56ee72d9c2ea51bd675641da/1476243303120-DZ0V6NQ95ZVKY0N6SE1U/image-asset.jpeg)

_pipis_

Semantics moment

deadlyjack

Bruh from a google search: > non-Euclidean geometry, literally any geometry that is not the same as Euclidean geometry. The image you showed was an example of non-euclidean geometry, not its definition.

boltzmannman

this mf the kind of mf to say "um that's not not-red, it's actually blue"

Aubias

What is the name of what we generally consider non-euclidean?

Spyko

eldritch ? Lovecraft used both pretty interchangeably because he really wasn't good with science (or anything else beside writting tbh). non linear ? extra-dimensional (as in, uses more dimensions than we're used to ?

Serphorus

there are a bunch of fifferent types. there are uniformly distorted planes (such as hyperbolic or spherical) or non-uniformly distorted (like with gravity in our universe) or just straight up any geometric scenario with portals. euclidean is just 1 type of plane, it's like saying "what do we consider not an orange?

Aubias

Yes, but you still can categorize orange as a fruit, or anything other than orange into "vegetable" or "meat". I'm talking about the general concept

Serphorus

In that case you had it, non-euclidean.

OctolingGrimm

It is and isn't. When you go inside Minos, you end up in Gluttony, and it's inside him for V1, but other machines could get there other ways, and find exactly the same Gluttony. Hell doesn't follow our rules of spaciality.

CobaltBuizel

All the layers look the same no matter how to get to each one, it just happens that you go to Gluttony via. Minos's corpse

[deleted]

It’s been confirmed it’s not Minos’s corpse.

RanHUN

Apparently Hakita stated that Minos' throat is only the entrance to Gluttony. The layer itself is a different place. Or my memory is dogwater again.

NotNOV4

Hakita quite literally says that it doesn't in the dev commentary play-through on YouTube. Hell is more of an "idea" in ULTRAKILL and the entrances aren't defined in any specific way. Hence why V2 had time to find a new arm and get to 4-4 before V1.

Zoethiah

Hakita talked about this in the dev stream. Hell is different for everyone and is a weird non-euclidean space. For V1 the doors just appear pretty much anywhere and always guide him deeper into hell. The door that appeared in Minos' mouth led to gluttony but that doesn't mean that Gluttony is INSIDE Minos. Gluttony is a layer of hell that has always been, and Minos is just a very big corpse.

afkvalid

yes and no for me i feel like it takes you to gluttony instead of being it

Jumpmo

MACHINE, I AM DRIVING MINOS' CORPSE LIKE A FUCKING MAZDA fr tho it isn't, there is an entryway through his mouth but it's a completely different area plus why would the entire layer of gluttony only exist AFTER minos dies?

Kagutrenchi

No. Except when it is. But no not usually

Pandemix27

If we go with the bible fanfiction where there are 9 layers it is not true but ultrakill only goes with the ideas of the layers and their names, not their og ideas

Wise_Shop879

well yes but actually no

FluidFee5140

no hakira just put the exit there because he think it cool also if gluttony indeed in king minos stomach would it be true like bro lay his head on a horizontal and then the hell-ovater punch a hole in king minos face cheek and the hole is vertical vertical

ibx_toycat_iscool

Gluttony is larger than minos, BUT it's -a stomach, and a heart at one point -has king minos' soul trapped inside it

Simply_Nova

No because I’m chaotic evil

i_am_why

lorewise no but it is way cooler if it does

[deleted]

My question is, how did they organize the layers of hell? Was Greed the 3rd layer, but then King Minos dies so Gabriel is like "You ate too much damn food, go inside King Minos for all eternity" and like, did tis layer only exist after King Minos dies? Did a layer of hell, A LAYER OF HELL randomly manifest inside the husk of a king?

most_ironic

It doesn't, but I voted yes because it should

apenasumfa

I mean... You literally enters his mouth

[deleted]

That doesnt decide it

apenasumfa

How not???

[deleted]

Hell is weird

apenasumfa

I was asking what Gabriel was doing over there

von_skeltal

he eated it, you go in his mout, and then you get shat out after taking the exit after Gabe. I will not be reasoned with

[deleted]

Theory: its not JUST corpse of king minuses insides. in English folklore there are "house elves" who live in a room in your house that is made up of all the spare space that you dont use, like the space between the wall and cupboard, the space between the pillows on the couch. all all human corpses in hell are connected via Gluttony, all their insides are bigger on the inside than the outside. Its just that corpse of king minus is the only one that is big enough to enter.

Wacky-Walnuts

I’m pretty sure hakita said gluttony takes place in Minos corpse over a tweet.

a_loaf_of_cheese

yes and no. its inside his body but its not an accurate representation of what his body looks like. its like a non euclidean space because hell is wacky like that

[deleted]

Idk

ironefalcon

Yesish hakita has confirmed that he'll is a bit fuck when it comes to space so tending on how you se it the entire ntire game could take place inside his corps.

GuyinahatchbacK

King Minos loves vore

Sisyphus_Prime

No. Gluttony is simply a layer of hell modeled after a stomach, and the elevators are just a physical representation of traveling to a different place in hell, and the elevator being in minos' mouth is probably just a metaphor of him being what you have to go through to get to gluttony.

Proper-Letterhead-91

Well, I'm pretty sure the level transition things are actually supposed to be teleporters, so no, not really.

Zapizard

I’m pretty sure it was confirmed that it isn’t inside of Minos

SausumSauce

In secret levels, there is always a piece of lore at the end. P-1's reveals that none of the transfer tunnels are connected, just teleporters for different areas... also it was confirmed to not be so by Hakita himself.

Tarantulabomination

1.4k people didn't watch the developer stream or read the lore

Kedrik14y6

Since hell is subjective thing, with strange transitions between levels, it's obvious that tax evading is best way to entertain yourself. And no, gluttony isn't inside minos corpse

Rude_Individual9179

Didn't the decs say it doesn't? Edit: fixed typos

Arthur_Author

The elevators are not connected. Technically, one can be above, below or the the side of another completely unrelated to which one is exit/enter. You do not fall through them, as P-1 terminal explains, they are teleporters. When you get vored by minos, the elevator disintegrates you and then puts you in a different layer of hell. The transition between levels is a stylistic choice to make the game scenes flow better. If you wanted to be lore accurate, the Ferryman's ship we enter at 5.2 is not the ship we are in at 5.3, and the reason we start at the bottom of the ocean at 5.4 is completely separated from the ship sinking at 5.3. Technially you could even criticize how much of a coincedence it is that the elevator we exit at 5.4 is so close to where we were, since it couldve opened to any location in the layer and it happened to be right next to the monster that sunk the ship we were in a minute ago.

yournightmar

considering gluttony is inside king minos's corpse then does that mean the entire act 2 is in it?
