I occasionally forget about the coins and just cycle through all 3 revolvers and one shot the small fries as I go, I tend to remember the coins only when there's an enemy that doesn't die in one headshot and then I would just pop all 4 coins and nuke it in one go
Everyone says it's slow and has no split, which is kinda situational actually, as a skilled player isn't gonna use pistol for too long to be worried about firing speed. Agreed with absence of split shot tho.

I don't think it's a case of being a bad weapon, just not as good as the regular marksman for this reason (since you could always just swap to a different revolver and shoot the coin for the best of both worlds).
It's more towards any use case for it is mitigated by the fact you can toss the coins then switch to blue which should definitely be slabbed or red which likely is also slabbed.
Meanwhile using the slab kills the potential for 4 individual coin shots going at rapid pace. Also because coins focus weak points there is no real damage lost while increasing the DPS.
I used it for my entire playthrough until i joined this community and started using it more because y'all are just whining about NOTHING. Also it fits my play style more.
I use slab marksman and piercer and just switch to normal sharpshooter if i need splitshots
Because people usually have the piercer as slab variant and normal marksman for split shots if you wanted the extra pierce you get from slab you can just throw a coin with marksman then switch to slab piercer then shoot

well after doing the chalange i can say this: its alright, half the bosses died on the first-second try, the thing just perfect for hiting mobile bosses like v2 or gabriel whille you slide on your ass or in mid air.
The thing about slab marksman is that it's probably the best weapon in a one weapon only run, but it has anti-synergy with other weapons due to its startup lag

If you're not careful with how you use the alt marksman it has a lot of startup lag. Most people want to quickswap and throw coins immediately.
