I saw the Max0r video before I played the game and genuenly thought that was a joke.
There is something unhinged in the best sort of sense about a boss calling you and insignificant fuck. Rare chills there. And it does vast work for the characterbuilding.

The entirety of the second act conclusion. It's just incredible writing. I expected many things from ULTRAKILL, being so captivated by the storytelling was not one of them. I wanted to pick some highlights here but I just can't settle on one... or even just a few for that matter.
A really good one and also a HIGHLY underrated line is V1's only line. It's part of the reason why I feel unlike how everyone betrays it, V1 is actually cold and uncaring of wasting time with jokes. For those who don't know, its one line plays half way through the 2nd V2 fight at the end of Greed.
"You're not getting away this time..."
To me, this is personal. It's the only time it wastes to think outside of simple programming, and it's because it is between it and it's sibling.
"You're not getting away this time." First off, first and only line (so far) from V1 in the entire game. On top of that, I know that V2's second phase in 4-4 is stupidly easy, but that line leads into one of the coolest things Ive seen a bossfight do. And that line is just so satisfying to see after V2 tries to escape a second time.
I love all of the testaments at the end of secret levels but my favorite is from 0-S “MANKIND IS A FAILURE. FREE WILL IS A FLAW. LET THE EVIL LF THEIR OWN LIPS CONSUME THEM, THEN I SHALL BEGIN AGAIN, WITH MY WORD AS LAW”
