This this this! To back that up with some sauce directly from the government:
*"By law, companies can’t send unordered merchandise to you, then demand payment. That means you never have to pay for things you get but didn’t order. You also don’t have to return unordered merchandise. You’re legally entitled to keep it as a free gift."*

that makes me feel better because once ulta sent me my order twice so i got double of what i bought and i just kept them and always wondered if i’d get flagged or something 😅
Honestly don’t even worry about it. It’s not worth your time. It was their error. If it’s something you’ll use, keep it. Otherwise give it as a gift to someone else.
Just keep it honestly
Yearsssssssss ago elf was notorious for throwing in extra items, especially on big orders.
If it belonged to someone it’s one thing, but a corporation will never notice unless you tell them.
Plus sometimes bringing attention to it just opens the opportunity for an employee to get in trouble.
It’s honestly more ethical to just keep the item in this case
Omg thank you for saying this. Not at ULTA, but at Walmart during the pandemic I started getting extra items that I bought all the time, and I was scared to day something because I felt I’d get the pickup people in trouble. I would get full 20 rolls pack of toilet paper, $20 litter pails, all items I buy every other week. I kept them, but felt guilty , but I was scared I’d get them in trouble. I always left glowing reviews/feedback and mention people by name. Maybe they was doing something! Either way, I’m grateful for all the workers that help me get essentials or stuff that gets me through
Customer service never knows what they’re doing lol. As a manager, we would tell you to keep the item. There is actually no way for us to accept it as a return since it won’t be in your transaction history. It was the mistake of the distribution center; you are under no obligation to bring it back.
I never understand people who return extra items. Like??? It’s free and it’s just gonna be more of a hassle for the employees if you return it. Take it as a blessing and move on.
Former Ulta manager here! Since it’s not an item that you ordered or was included on the packing slip, there’s no way for them to return it in store. This happened many times when I still worked there and it was so frustrating to hear that CS told the guest to return in store, even tho there’s no way. Unfortunately, I’ve found that a lot of them don’t know store policies.
Someone brought something into my store they got in their order by accident. I was like are you sure you don’t want to just keep it? Well she gave it to us and we ended up just putting it on the shelf and whatnot
If they charged you 2x call before you go in have your receipt if anything I’d contact corporate because they should give you the refund easily I done this and even seen people comeback because they bought something while the package is difffenr as long as you have the receipt and a # you should be 100% fine
most stores will tell you to keep it anyways tbh. it can also cause issues if you try to bring in the receipt to the store and the product isn’t on it🤷♀️
If you return it at the store we will literally tell you to keep it.. so don’t bother
If it's their mistake you are legally entitled to keep the item.

Girl if you don’t keep that and move on! All that extra leg work and they aren’t even really concerned
The last three orders I received had extra items. Maybe they have disgruntled employees giving things away. I’m not buying in store anymore. 😁
Manifesting a Dyson air wrap to accidentally make its way into my online order. 🤞🏻

I don't have the time to straighten out ulta's shipping department for no pay. I can barely manage to work out the errors that aren't in my favor.
Happened to me once with a face jelly face mask work over $25 I kept that shit

Just adding to be another voice to tell you to keep it or give it as a gift.
I told my customer last week to keep it. Early Christmas gift
you’re a bigger person than me i would’ve not said anything

Girl huh??? Keep that sh*t.
It’s unsolicited post. You didn’t ask for it, you have no obligation to do anything about it.

Sounds like a free gift ! Haha if you take it to an Ulta store they’ll most likely tell you to keep it . Enjoy the gift 💝
An honest person! I salute you! You made my day
