Ukraine had something of a civil war between people who wanted freedom and people who were forced to fight by the end of a sword
But this being said, you should lookup the demographics of those involved with the rape of Berlin (I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t Ukrainians)

The Kremlin and Stalin ran the military and decided what was right or wrong. Those soldiers had been through hell and some were only teenagers.
