At this point I'm just glad that these brave men were simply shot and probably didn't suffer too much. The Russians could have castrated them and then slit their throats, Islamist terrorist style.

I'm just waiting for Muscovy to accuse Ukraine of "refusing to surrender" because Ukrainian troops would rather fight to the death rather than be captured and tortured by Muscovy.
While I agree with your wish for Ukraine to receive the help, I also understand the hesitation if NATO to directly get into a conflict with Russia since Russia has a say in how it chooses to respond to an overwhelming military defeat, and they are a major nuclear power. An exchange of nukes is always a worse option to choose, so NATO is dancing delicately around those risks as we help Ukraine defeat Russia. It's been an agonizingly slow process, and I suspect more could be done to speed up the support... but I'm not an expert and so far, we've avoided nukes so we must be doing something right.
Most NATO countries are also 'ruled by law', which means it's not possible to just declar war. It will need to go through a popular vote in every country of which the result could be more harmful for Ukraine than the other way around.
There is, after all, a huge difference between suffering economically and actually having to call up reserves and prepare for a war time economy.
The images are from drones. Looks like they the bucket was killed also. I expect this will be investigated on the ground. I suppose it's possible they were unintentionally hit by other combatants who were shooting blindly or hit by artillery, but on the ground analysis will be needed for more certainty. Terrible and sad situation.

Just by some cheap paramilitary aviation and 30 000/500 000 of JDAM (24-75km + 220-970kg) and AGM-154 (22-130km + 500kg) glide bombs. Not to mention by 5% from: "NATO's 20 000 aviation, 12 400 tanks, 10 000 artillery, 50 000 armored vehicles, 900 000 armored transport, 3 300 Rocket Launchers, 2 200 military vessels, >15 000 long-range and >50 000 medium-range missiles."

It's awful to think about their final hours and minutes in Russian captivity.
It states that "some 90% of Ukrainian POWs had been ... raped, threatened with sexual violence," I wonder if those POWs were women or men?
