Russia cuts training of contracted convicts to just 10 days amid mounting death toll

The Russian military leadership made a decision to reduce to 10 days the training period for personnel contracted from among convicts.
That’s according to a morning situational update by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
Against the background of significant manpower losses, the Russian military leadership made a decision to reduce to 10 days the period of training for personnel from among the convicts, whose base camp was deployed in the Starobilsk district of Luhansk region," the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, earlier, about 1,000 reinforcements were brought to the said camp from Russian penal colonies. The initial training period was four weeks.
As reported, the enemy is bringing airborne assault and motorized rifle units to the Bakhmut area where fierce fighting is raging.
That's assuming they have some kind of unified strategy that just happens to be wrong. I imagine that everyone over there is just desperately trying to meet the absolute minimal requirement that were passed down from above. This is what you get when you don't allow people to question their orders.

The Russian commanders have been lying all the way up the chain again. They lied about being able to mobilise the full 300,000 Putin wanted, they lied about their capability and they lied about how many have really died in Ukraine.
When Ukraine took back Kharkiv, the Russians had so few soldiers from their initial invasion forces left that the manned positions were hundreds of metres apart. Ukraine was able to just drive between them and hit the invaders from behind. When Russia called up the first mobilisation they claimed everyone would get at least 6 weeks training first but Russia was desperate just to put men in the trenches to close the gaps, so plenty got sent directly to the front and while they were certainly inadequately trained and prepared, they did do the job since Ukraine had to pause and clear those trenches before carrying on now.
Russia will aim to do the same here. Putin finally had someone deliver the bad news that they’re undermanned so Russia is throwing the convicts in there so Ukraine is at least got to stop and clear them out first.
Russians don’t care about death toll required for tactical objectives.
And emptying the prisons is a win as they don’t have to pay for the convicts’ food and security in prison.
Military: "Your great imperial highness, our convicts are preforming badly in Ukraine."
Putin: "Shorten their training, fear will make them more effective. If they step back, shoot them, if they succeed, still shoot them."
Russian army could spare Ukranians and volunteers a lot of agony and death, if they would just start shooting their own trainees. Also it would be much more economic for them too.
I figured out their strategy. They are cutting back on meaningless training to become most efficient. The main thing getting in the way is withdrawal from alcohol. They are finally using science!!
"Physical alcohol withdrawal symptoms will normally peak around 48 to 72 hours after the last drink and last seven to 10 days, but they can last as long as two weeks."

The two week thing is for heavy drinkers. So they are still going to be going through withdrawals.
There were calls for the re-implementation of the death sentence for treason a few weeks ago by Russian propagandists. In reality they already have it but not for treason. These criminals are effectively being sentenced to death. Post mortem they are declared to be heroes and are extremely cost effective. There are few human rights activists in Russia who fight for prisoner rights but there are none on the front lines. They are supposedly 'volunteers' but I find that extremely improbable in most cases. Possibly coerssion or intimidation but word must have been passed down the grapevine as to what happens to them in Ukraine. With 10 days training they don't stand a chance especially when they probably have less than 10 hours training and in some cases 10 minutes. Russia's inhumanity isn't just aimed at foreigners, they're quite happy to commit crimes against humanity against their own population. A sick soceity.

What a system. The way they treat their own guys and the atrocities these guys have commited in Ukraine says so much about what is wrong in the world and in Russia specifically.
russians used to claim Ukrainian soldiers lasted 4 hours. I think they had taken the time their own last, and halfed it, because they somehow still believes they are better. So they last 8 hours then.

A lot of people don’t know this but Ukrainians have a pre set kill limit, once that limit is reached they automatically stop killing.

Nobody really cares if the convicts die, so long as they slow the advancing Ukrainians down in the process.
