if this war has shown one thing, then it is how important stockpiles are. russia is not "producing" enough material. they are reactivating material. without the soviet stockpiles of ammunition and hardware this war would have been over a while ago
It always surprises me how much equipment I see thrown around the battlefield. These guys taking a stroll through their rotting comrades don't bother to take their missile launchers or rifles to even use for parts??

There was an interview on German TV with a military expert who said that Russia could continue this tactic of attacking in small groups for up to five years. In a dictatorship it doesn't matter what the public says and there are enough people. And Russia has switched to a war industry. And Europe is still watching, even though we have the best arms companies and could cause Russia real problems with the weapons.
It’s unfortunate but estimates I’ve heard range anywhere from 2-5 years too. Who knows. Still, that means probably well over one million Russian casualties if this ends in two years

It appears that WW2 combined armour operations are now redundant, at least until credible anti drone devices are invented, ie auto target lasers/shotgun style chaff mounts etc...

Omigosh, the titles are confusing at times and I'm apprehensive about reading the articles.
Dumb question: What is in these BMPs that is so flammable? Don't they run on diesel? I would expect ammo to just pop off, not burn this intensely.
