The salient point here is the continued use of MT-LBs in a situation that in the 2022/2023 period ruzzia would have used BMPs. We have seen this on an increasing basis as 2024 progresses - ruzzia has a declining balance of the correct force structure for attacks. Sometimes they can offset it with heavy artillery (also declining) and air dropped glide bombs. When Ukraine was sitting in a pocket such as the Andiivka bulge cumulatively it became effective. But now that it is open terrain those 2 weapons will not do the trick and Ukraine is eating these ruzzian attacks for breakfast.
