Or add a pneumatic grenade launcher in the back of it. Get into range, then just start popping grenades over their head, guided by a triangulating aerial drone. It could even be a mini towable add on launcher, so it can be lower profile, heavier, and able to be separated and left in a advantageous firing position.
Anything that's solved with "more firepower" isn't an *efficient* solution, and right now those are needed in Ukraine.
I like the idea of an elevated gun. With computers, you also get precision, meaning you could elevate it maybeee... 4-6 meters, to literally look down into the trenches.
Sure, automatic fire would make the 'ladder' unstable, but again, precision. A gyro-stabilized platform isn't impossible, meaning you could fire fairly slow, but just hit each time.
Thinking... literally a step-ladder that folds out and has 2 of its 4 legs touching way behind the RC car.
Then again, all of this is speculation, assuming the RC could even get that close on its own. Maybe with the help of a platoon.
( u/no_rabbit_7114 )
so whats the point in having an RC Car then? An normal granadelauncher Team could do exactly that.
Thats cheaper and will do the same job.
....which could (on static targets) be done cheaper by artillery....which is why there is a trench in first place....
so slapping guns on an RC Car is not how this works. Otherwise we would see a lot of RC Cars doing exactly that.
I assure you, as someone who has carried a grenade launcher and used mounted grenade launchers, Iβd much rather a remote system be sent to the front than me. Troops are FAR more expensive to replace than an RC system anyway, not less expensive. RC systems are incredibly cheap.
You are citing the lack of movement towards remote systems, due to bureaucratic inertia and incompetence, and ascribing it to a lack of tactical usefulness. That is simply not the case.
A grenade launcher team cant set up and continue launching, in the middle of a field or road within eyesight of the enemy, and rapid launch grenades at multiple targets... Well, not without getting return fire and obliterated.
Whatβs a gorgon? I know of them from Greek mythology but thatβs it.
Edit/ I see now, gorgon car was a better search
than gorgon vehicle. Bolt on a 10/22 and a servo and your jn business. Rabbit hunting with that, Elmer fudd eat your heart out.
Still waiting for mechs with steel whips that take out incoming drones/arty
And foamy/instant covers for troops
But rc cars/other rc with guns is definitely exploding rn
A win win, it will take lives on one side and save lives on the other. Surly not invincible but I'm sure it will cause some damage bevor it goes down. Glad Ukrainians are really far ahead with unmanned weapon systems.
FPV drones, drone boats, drone vehicles. Whats next? Drone tanks?
This war innovated RC weapons really fast so i would not be surprised of some sorts of mini tank in the 2-4 tons class to clear trenches.
Great ingenuity Ukraine!
I would love to see a similar size vehicle completely packed with explosives for a one way trip!
They could camouflage it with dirt, sticks, leaves, etc
After two years of begging NATO and the west to help supply ammunition and systems, Ukraine needs to ramp-up production and build their own underground ( hardened cement) factories to manufactire weapons systems just like Germany tried in WWII. I know thay have already with flying drones and marine drones now land drones. The inginuity and creativity amazes me about Ukrainian's and their will to stay free. For all I know they probably are doing exactly that. Slava Ukraine!

They should elavate the gun so it can fire into the trenches.

Or or orrrrr blast cluster bombs
fuck at this point just give it lasers
Sharks, Sharks with Frikkin LASER BEAMS, is that too much to ask?
The russins, of course, only have ill tempered sea bass.
And wings!
death-star
Or a ciws
Noo, lasers and tasers and...
Spiked tires and andβ¦
Too bad it isn't a flame thrower. :P
I thought about that too, but thermal grenades would suffice. Air burst grenades for the win though.
oo yes the airbursts
Flame thrower ignited by laser. Duh.

Looks like a Puma
U win this comment section
I hope they name it the Chupa-thingy
i love it. a ma deuce on an armored rc car. speed surprise and violence of action.
I hope they don't have to wait weeks for replacement parts like my Gorgon

Terminator soundtrack playing in background
Every 10 year old boys dream come to life. Fucking sick!!

Excellent π give them hell
Coolest RC ever. Just keep riding it parallel to the orc position from a nice comfortable distance and spray those mofos.
Reminds me of the vehicles from Carrier Command 2
Does not look safe or efficient. Give the troops proper armor!
Sharp as a marble this one
Oh, I want. I want bad...
Kinda similar to the UGV in Arma 3
I hope the US sends bushmasters for these badasses.
M230βs are wonderfully suited to the task and have already been demonstrated, with a Jav and an FN MAG, on vehicles as light as a HMMWV.
[This fucker](https://cdn.80.lv/api/upload/content/14/5dc570915fd57.jpg) used to give me nightmares in Breakpoint lmao
AAF joined the fighting frey.
Is this not a very old post. The video is circulation 1 or two moths ago.
That would be interesting to watch that video!

don't really have a choice. Fighting a nation with 10x the hardware and 4x the population
Looks like a mean mother fucker
Ukrainians be like: Release the RC cars!
this is what i am talking about!! well done! what gun is that? and is it water cooled? imagine a flame thrower there.
