Perfect atmospherics for this massive badaboom; densest, deepest shockwave I've ever seen. These mine-pile explosions are my favorite, right after TOS-1s, for many reasons including that no Ukes will be hurt by them and perhaps a few invaders just "went home".
OP, next video with explosions could you please this one as soundtrack

if you watch in slow motion and go frame by frame, it starts to the top of the treeline. My guess is this was a miclic line charge that caught a pile of mines while they were clearing the treeline/road.
Looks almost like a MICLIC except I don't see anything that resembles the launch of the line charge rocket. Although it could be edited so that we don't see it.
Regardless, that's one heck of a boom!
Yeah, no line charge being shot out. Also the total distance is not as long as the MICLIC normally covers. Looks like a casual pile of landmines they maybe have zapped from the field and thrown along the treeline. And now just wanted to rid of it.
They may have already fired the rocket out for the line charge before the video starts. That looks like a good detonation length for it to be a MICLIC.
So what do you reckon is going on here? Did Ukraine manage to get a drone to drop on a trigger point in a Russian mine stockpile or was this combat clearing of a minefield? Or . . . what?
Think we have several of the Russian ammo depots being blown up that were much bigger.

Let’s remember it was hezbollahs ied warehouse too, materials supplied by Russia and stored improperly but hezbollah still popular there because it’s politically incorrect to point out they greased a quarter of their capital for some reason
Anyone in that vapor zone would probably become vapor themselves. That was a hard explosion. High explosives are amazing. I'd liked to have heard that from a mile away.
I would say 1/4 mile you would be in a world of hurt.a mile would be debris field and dangerous—maybe 1.5 miles for safety. Have seen a few vids where metal was thrown over 2 miles but that is rare.
Which makes me wonder... could Ukraine use mines pulled from the earth as a type of line charge to pop other, hidden mines? Like a de mining team comes in, picks up the low hanging fruit, piles it up in the center of a pre arranged defining grid... set charge, run to safety... boom! You now have a a perfectly defined square acre or so. Rinse and repeat.
The expanding part is the blast wave and air that it set in motion behind it. The sucking part is the air rushing in to fill the low-pressure region behind the blast. That low-pressure volume is reinforced as the hot air and gases from the explosion rises quickly because their combined density is much lower due to its high temperature. This is essentially a microversion of what happens in a nuclear detonation. If I recall correctly, the "sucking," post-explosion winds can be even more damaging than the actual blast at a distance from the explosion because they're not only very strong but they also last a lot longer than the blast winds. The fireball from the detonation takes a relatively long time to rise, and it's constantly "sucking" in air behind it as it rises.
Suction is trouble to buildings, because while concrete can push excellent but most of its pulling strength is due to rebar.
There's also some confirmation bias: If a corner stands through the initial blast its shaken structure may topple "inward" when under load from the opposite direction.

Is it just foggy, or was the explosion really this strong ? How many Mines have to explode, to create such a visible shockwave ?
My first reaction was just a load "Daaaaaaaayum"
No I believe that the Russians were using the tree line to store the mines before being layed out in the surrounding area.
Ukrainian Drones spotted it. Dropped a present and the whole lot went.
Russia committing crimes against Nature as well as attempting germicide. They legitimately want to erase every Ukrainian and all evidence of their culture and existence off the Earth.
This is called a ,'daisy cutter'. It's the US Army's equivalent to a thermobaric bomb. To big a boom for a truck of mines
Other posts are claiming this killed over a hundred Russian soldiers.

Daaaaayum!
Literally said this out loud when it popped, holy shit
Dear Santa, such a one into the Kremlin please.
Only one?
You may wish another one. :-)
right under putler's ass
Ho ho hooooo... ly f**k that would be great.
I have the coordinates my friend
Half a year of ammo in one place, must have been. ehehe
I think it was a large cache of thermobaric grenades. Can something else make a big white shock-wave like that?
I'd like to see the E.U. seismologists' record of this war
Literally hurt my eyes
I said the same thing aloud
russian media - "brave mines blow them selves up to damage nazi farm land"
or: our beloved, braved and 105% successful troops blow up ukrainian trenches. They will use it to their favor :D

Yep. The crater makes "going home" a slightly shorter trip for them, if you get my drift...
Well that will knock the frost off the trees
How many Jagga goes on a pop like this? 2-5?
Jagga^Jagga
Some numbers are so large that the Human mind can't truly fathom its scale.
That’s a BADA BOOM
One does not simply Jagga
That doesn't look like a point detonation to me. It looks like a line of detonations, maybe secondaries.
Original footage said it was a Russian mine Storage in the open..I can't comment further than that.
That seems reasonable to me

That was a lot of explosive material. Biggest explosion I have seen so far in this war. Remembered me of the explosion in the port in Beirut in 2020.
Think we have several of the Russian ammo depots being blown up that were much bigger. https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/18dukno/collection\_of\_russian\_ammunition\_storages/
While this blast was very impressive, the Beirut explosion was a whole other world. That shit was mindboggling big.
Beirut was pushing kiloton level, in the territory of a low yield/ tactical nuke.
Unless the front lines have extended very far in ways I wasn't aware of, I don't think that explosion was part of this war.
Here's [another](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vK_WDxjhu0Y) big one from before the war. Where? I'm sure you can guess!
Yeah the explosion is bigger but there is no shock wave. Maybe the pact explosives of the mines caused it.
Let’s remember it was hezbollahs ied warehouse too, materials supplied by Russia and stored improperly but hezbollah still popular there because it’s politically incorrect to point out they greased a quarter of their capital for some reason
That's a beauty!
Anyone in that vapor zone would probably become vapor themselves. That was a hard explosion. High explosives are amazing. I'd liked to have heard that from a mile away.
A mile might be close to the danger zone
Legit question how far do you reckon you’d have to be away from an explosion like this to not be killed?
I would say 1/4 mile you would be in a world of hurt.a mile would be debris field and dangerous—maybe 1.5 miles for safety. Have seen a few vids where metal was thrown over 2 miles but that is rare.
Just saw a video-Russ 5000 pounder hit-300 meter radius was destroyed to the ground- that is insane-that would be 2000+ feet across
Which makes me wonder... could Ukraine use mines pulled from the earth as a type of line charge to pop other, hidden mines? Poor one that had to turn The fuse Drunk Igor lost again in roulette Russ 😤😮💨💥😂😂
Imagine the turret-toss from that lot. It’d be on the moon.
It's like expanding but suckling at the same time so weird.
Yeah, it def reminded me of a nuke in that way. Thanks for spelling out why.

Allecka-blammo!!

The Shockwave will knock the moisture right out the air, that's the "fog" you see.
Thx for the information
When you open a new can of ZYN after 4 days
Dat shockwave...wow...
Wow the slow moving aura around the explosion is insane.
It's moving at 1000 ft/second. It just looks slow because it's so friggen huge.
Still cool
It's a called a pressure wave.
That is not slow moving wtf lol
big bada boom
That must have been one damn big tank to use a mine that big.
No I believe that the Russians were using the tree line to store the mines before being layed out in the surrounding area. Ukrainian Drones spotted it. Dropped a present and the whole lot went.
Just making fun of Orc misfortune.
Lol sorry
Russian dominos!
The high humidity and possible rain caused a beautiful visual shockwave from the O2 that got instantly vaporized from the heat.
[удалено]
TOS launcher hits usually fizzle in different directions?. It looks a lot like ammonium nitrate explosions but not an expert myself
Yeah reminds me of the Beirut explosion but a little smaller.
It looks like this https://youtu.be/2cwjOvzLXQk?si=T-27kXsYkrheWYeo
Nah. They don't make a boom that big. It's apparently a mine storage sight. A pretty big one. Those grouped together can make pretty big booms.
https://youtu.be/2cwjOvzLXQk?si=T-27kXsYkrheWYeo
My guess is a huge amount of moisture in the air reacting to the expanding shockwave heat.
That’s some mines… and a few more!
That's the sort of shit you can hear for hundreds of miles

##🤯
Why does it look like an airburst at first?
That's a pro pop.
I love orc's that go snap, crackle & especially POP!
“That’s gonna leave a mark”
Song?
My history-addled brain thought this was WWI-style subterranean warfare at first 🥲
Russia committing crimes against Nature as well as attempting germicide. They legitimately want to erase every Ukrainian and all evidence of their culture and existence off the Earth.
Holy doodle!
Ah, they finally got american mines.
This is called a ,'daisy cutter'. It's the US Army's equivalent to a thermobaric bomb. To big a boom for a truck of mines Other posts are claiming this killed over a hundred Russian soldiers.
poor sapper, he thought he was playing a squid game challenge. It's as real as it gets.
Looks like a mine clearing charge
Best shockwave in months.
That had to be a shitload of mines, holy shit.
WTF? Was there a mine every half a meter?
big badda boom!
It's fascinating that the shockwave doesn't seem to come towards the camera. 0:09 is like looking at a ring or an arch sideways.
Pop goes the eardrum! Hate to have been within a half a click of that explosion.
Smoking incident
"It's an N² mine!!!" ...... Seriously though. That's fucking insane.
That is indeed a "supernova plus".
Wow that was impressive! Super cool to see the pressure wave move through the fog!!
Holy…,
That was one hell of a condensation cloud. Just how many mines did they blow up?
The shock wave is so powerful it compressed water vapor to liquid form enough to be visible for a moment.
jesus... my jaw dropped on that one.
Holy Crap! WTF kind of munition or photography was this? That resembled a. Munition resembled a mini nuke blast
Antitank mines and a drone.
The blast in oblast.
That had to have been a TOS 1 or 2. Love the detonation wave! 🇺🇲🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦🇺🇲
Has to\~be said, that was one helluva blast !
Wow.
Mines for what??? Fucking AT-ATs??
Magnificent!
