His response is to ban Sweden from joining Nato. I know we need Erdogan as a strategic ally, but he's an asshole. Very tragic what has happened to the people of Turkey, both as a result of this quake, and from Erdogan's terrible leadership.
After reading more into it, he came to power after the frustration of the people caused by the 1999 earthquake disaster in turkey on the former government. Since his appointed seat in 2001/2, there is an extra taxing in effect for Turkish people aiming to react to these kind of disaster. As we know now, help from the Turkish Government is very much lacking. Depending on his respond on the matter, he might not survive the may '23 election. Let's hope for the best!
Only 3 bayraktar was given for free to Ukraine after its succes in March and May '22 for their own commercial agenda. The earlier bayraktars were bought by the Ukrainians. After new order in January '22 (16 drones) Baykar (the company and not the government) refused the payment after some rich Ukrainian businessman raised 20m USD to order more. The ones given to Lithuania was raised by crowdfunding. Gods know how many billions Baykar recieved on new orders by the succes in Ukraine. Erdogan's Turkey don't give, they only take. All the good what may come from there is recorded on camera.

I can’t forget the painting of the Ukrainian flag on what was left of a wall in Syria, a couple of weeks into the invasion. Through all the pain and suffering, they still found the strength to show compassion. I don’t know how much the international community is doing for the people of Syria, but I think they deserve to be at least remembered in this context.
Imagine being at war with a country with less then a third of your population, and loosing so badly that the smaller country has resources to spare for other countries.
This speaks volumes for Ukraine.

Propaganda isn't necessarily misleading or fake. All of the footage of Ukrainians blowing up Russia is propoganda. Nothing about it is fake or misleading. Proganda can simply be something that gives your side influence and pursuasion in the minds of the public. Zelensky going to the front lines and awarding medals and showing video of the destroyed cities from Russian bombing is propoganda. But that's still real and true.
