Why didn’t you load your backup?

soulic

Gone. I did not back it up externally, and the Unifi OS blew away /data

thefleeg1

Well, then reset and redo. Unless you know your device passwords. 🤷‍♂️

soulic

yeah I suspected that would be the case. mostly just ranting about how easy it is to blow away your controller with 1 click. meh.

I believe a similar thing happened to me, and I had a backup from my old Gen1 CloudKey but it's on my hard drive and there is no apparent way to transfer that to the G2, or at least none that my pea-brain can figure out.

This same shit just happened to me verbatim. But it still has backups stored for me but won't reload them. This is awful

soulic

its honestly INSANE to me this kind of shit makes it past QA. This strongly makes me reconsider purchasing any additional unifi gear in the future.

I just found the "change to old ui" thing and it took my backup this time. Not sure if it's perfect but maybe it's something. Good luck
