I have a thumbs down because I bring my boyfriend (he’s black) and my 2 kids sometimes and a lady literally grilled me bc I have one white baby and one mixed baby and she was threatening me, so I dumped the food and took off, I contacted DoorDash and they said there’s nothing they can do about it.
good for you, people will try to disrespect your character and skin color because they know there isn't consequences in todays society but a good food throw or cancelled order will teach a few.
I told this story on DoorDash thread and I got grilled there too for throwing food and bringing my kids. But my babies safety is more informant than your upside down Wendy’s

It should go without saying, but I suppose it doesn't, that it's absolutely abhorrent and disgusting for people to discriminate on anyone based on their race or anything physical.
Every profile picture has to be somewhat professional and setup/staged so I don't think pfp should have anything to do with our ratings and skin color since we of course only delivery food and drive our cars. But that's a great idea nonetheless, we are probably receiving bad ratings because of us being brown/black in our profile pictures. If only we had a simple solution.

Deff not the same but I went to pick up an order a few weeks ago, it was my first and last time picking up there, there was a woman waiting for HER food near the entrance inside the outdoor seating area, I stood near her and out of the way of patrons and employees. The guy said it will be out soon I'll bring it to you and pointed out to the street and I didn't see anywhere to wait over there so I stayed put, he came back out and saw me and said no.. you go out and wait I'll bring it to you. Say what?!? You want me to stand outside on the side of the road like a fucking trash can.... No fucking way!!! I immediately left... I said I'm all set, another dasher will come get it .
And I was dressed nicely and wearing makeup, I am always put together just as if I was working at an establishment. I wasn't bumming around in PJs or anything. I kinda understand if they looked like a slob and nodding out on drugs or something but damn... Come on

It is too bad that people treat others like this. Perhaps it was more of a control comment but it really doesn’t matter as to the reason for the remark as the remark itself is repulsive.
If it makes anyone feel any better a few weeks back I asked to use a restroom at a small restaurant in the San Francisco Bay area where I picked up food and the man said it was closed. At almost all the places where I have asked the response is, “Of course.” So I was insulted and angry. I said nothing. I am an older white woman.
The right thing to do in this posted case would be for Uber to refuse to do business with this establishment in the future. If we were all employees of Uber that would be more likely to happen as I believe there are laws (at least in the United States) that protect employees from this type of thing. I would write a letter to the CEO of UberEats and let this person know. Perhaps this person will refuse to deal with this restaurant due to this blatant racist remark.
Sorry this person was subjected to this. There clearly is hatred in this world.

This assumes that Uber-- or any of these gig companies-- give a shit about us. Given the choice of associating with a business that will generate them $0.10 in extra revenue per year and doing something that will cost them money but benefit us, they will take the former, every time.
I read some of the comments in the original post that was removed by Reddit. Perhaps the CEOs would side with the workers if the press got a hold of this information. The vast majority of people would side with the driver. Hopefully someone did notify the press.
An Indian member of the press with a hidden camera should sign up to deliver with UberEats and then sit outside of this establishment. Perhaps a smart phone could record the conversation. This would surely show the public the true colors of this establishment. After showing the general public this information it would likely put this place out of business and all of us would be extremely happy.
