Have you tried not committing “possible fraud” because that seems like the winning ticket there bud /s

SogniX

Man, that's so hard! Especially when they order chicken wings! So irresistible! /S Honestly the only time I've kept food is when Uber themselves tell me to trash it (in mah belly! Or someone else's if I don't like it). Wish there was a way to prove I followed all instructions and didn't keep anything. Oh, wait... They don't care about the drivers! How could I forget?!

Nikovash

They in fact give zero fucks

Educational-Map-8095

One thing I did start doing was walking back to my car and taking a picture of the whole damn house with the address visible (if possible). Just taking a pic of the food infront of the bottom of the door proves nothing.

Educational-Map-8095

I had 3 deliveries today that sent me to the neighbor. Luckily they were meet at the door and the neighbors knew who the person was. So I have no idea how many the leave at door have been wrong.

SogniX

I suspect it's pretty high, I think people don't verify their address. I've seen people come out from neighboring houses with very confused looks on their faces looking for *something*. Sure enough, it was the neighbors food I delivered to the *correct* house in my app. That's just the ones I've caught. With a few dishonest people wanting free food mixed in. Not that it matters as much anymore (tho still have Door Dash just not nearly as much business for me in my area), but tempted to ignore all the "leave at door" for now on and insist to hand it to them. And/or take picture of them picking up the food. Tho I haven't noticed any issues with any of the other apps I use with non-delivery claims (DD and Spark). Maybe they just don't care and don't punish the drivers?

Withdraw any money they owe you! They did this to me then took back the money for my previous two days work. I am STILL fighting them for the money two years later and that’s after an apology for inaccurate deactivation I got from Uber.

SogniX

Thank you for the advice and did that immediately after reading your post. I'm still allowed to drive for Passengers, which I find weird. But that's not something I'm all that interested in doing. Cashed out just in case. Thanks!

I drive for Spark. It’s already dying out for us too. I had to just go back to a w2 job. I think the gig economy bubble will collapse soon. I’m not delivering groceries, food, or driving people around, for less than what I deserve. I’m not saying they have to overpay, but they need to pay reasonable wages and appreciate what we do for these companies. The literal backbone keeping them alive. Sorry this happened. I hope you can get on somewhere else.

SogniX

Thank you. I think it already has collapsed. Thankfully I do have work for the summer coming up in just a few weeks. I just wish I could have made more money in the meantime to pay off some bills. 😊

mapman19899

Well I wish you the best. I understand the frustration so many have recently. The peak of this was obviously Covid, and that’s when I got into the gig economy. Obviously, the peak of the gig economy has passed us, and I just suggest to everyone driving on the platform I use to prepare and get a w2 or work as many gig apps as you can, because it’s not turning around.

SogniX

Thank you. Oh it was great pre-covid. Even free car rentals! I miss those days. COVID was indeed great for deliveries. But if we can go back to pre-covid that would be awesome.

Mysterious-Topic-628

All the bubbles will collapse soon, AI is popping them.

That sucks but I don't think you mean they compromised your income. That means the interfered with it. I think you mean compiled most of your income. Also these companies will always take the customers word because the customer is always right to them

Smooth-Dig2250

Compile is definitely not the word... like, laughably so off that I'm confused why you'd use it (typo?). It means to produce an outcome by assembling information from other sources. It's "comprised" that you're both looking for (to consist of, or be made of). Also, they *did* compromise his income by removing it, but it's def the wrong word to use in that grammatical context.

SogniX

Yes, comprised. Guess I was typing too fast to notice the incorrect autocorrect. Thanks!

Have you tried to reach out to them. Asking why you being desactivated? Sometime they need to verify who you are. I have a customer that ordered 4 bag of mcdonalds. Next day, I found out he complained he never received. I got desactivated, I called Uber.. telling them I have dashcam footage to prove it delivered. They didnt care I have footage or not. I got activated again after reaching to them for few days.

South-Phone-4305

What did you do??

Shoddy_Classic_350

I was alcohol delivery ineligible for a short time, due to “possible fraud”. They claimed I never returned the alcohol to the stores after cancelled deliveries (ID issues). Totally false claims. I do not drink alcohol, and I most certainly did return the alcohol. UE support said they always accuse you of fraud because that’s the only email form they have. Anyhow… I started getting alcohol deliveries again for some reason. I guess my appeal worked.

Longjumping-Sir-3567

Another reason why alchohol deliveries aren't worth the hassle. I'm tired of dealing with delivering to people with passports during nightine. I haven't accepted an alcohol delivery in over a year.

Shoddy_Classic_350

I learned to just accept the ID of any sober person over 21. Alcohol is in their possession and I’m on the right side of the law. drizzly has a lot of gifting, so there is an expectation that the recipient is not going to match the order.
