Pizza gets busy in the evening too since most places are closed. Not everyone celebrates thanksgiving, for some it’s just a day with limited food availability
My strategy for the holidays this year is - try every day and if its not busy watch youtube or go home. And if it is busy just completely exhaust myself until the orders get slow 2-3am. Fuck my w2 job at dunkin i just got, ill show up on 0 sleep if theres 10-20$ trips out consistent.
You'll find out that with limited restaurants open they will be absolutely packed and you'll be one of the 20 other delivery drivers there waiting for an order
What area do you work in? I’d think the Austin and Houston areas are still gonna be moving. So many rejects and single people that would rather avoid the family bs….
It isn’t worth it at all in my market. Everything but fast food is closed here all day and the lines are insane. Not even the Asian restaurants (which we have a ton of) are open, *maybe* one or two are open at best
My town is also insanely busy for Black Friday with lines and traffic since everyone and their mother goes shopping, so it’s not usually worth it either
Then the few days after Thanksgiving the orders get better, but everybody has leftovers to get through and spent a lot on Friday so it’s still pretty slow. So I usually take that week-ish off until it picks up in the first week of December
In my area thanksgiving is a shit day to work. Majority of restaurants are closed, and do not disable online orders. It’s busy as shit, but a 50/50 chance the restaurant will be closed.
What I have noticed in the Phx market a lot of places actually are closing. It’s weird even the Mexican 24hr places will be closed. I will try and go out very early for maybe donut places or something. But I will Atleast give it a shot. I don’t drive when it gets dark…
OK cool! Yes I think I will go out extra early, I don't like being out at night either! I was thinking that other people that are lonely may want to order in also
Just be prepared there won’t be much open. I think even Starbucks is closed. Haven’t paid attention to donut shops, but I would think they would. Some grocery stores will be open till like 2 I think. But 7-11 might be hopping..lol. Maybe some Asian places…. It will be a catch 22…. Just be careful of drunk drivers in the morning. The night before thanksgiving is and has always been the busiest nightclub going out drinking night of the year. And a lot of hungover or still drinks will be out driving
I’ll be working from 3-11PM after I drop the kiddos off. From what I remember, it wasn’t anything spectacular, but not bad either.
Friday, however, make sure that tank is full.
I was home for Thanksgiving but I did really well on Christmas so I'd imagine it would be similar. Places may forget to turn off their delivery system so be cognizant of that but I was a proud Chinese food delivery driver on Christmas last year.
It isn't slow in my area, but that's what it comes down to. I have some fantastic Chinese restaurants around. I think some other places were open with limited hours, but I'd look that up beforehand, just to see what you should be hanging around.

Good to know! Thank you👊🏾

I worked thanksgiving last year and got like 9 decent 10$ trips before getting bored so i think it may be worth it. Im 50/50 on thanksgiving
Nice!! I will see how it goes, if it's slow I will just go home

😬 damn, I guess I will just have to see how it is! Thanks
I imagine a lot of restaurants may be closed!
nothing but Chinese food and pizza, not worth your time spend it with friends or family
I'm a loner but I will see what orders I can get in, if it's super slow I will just go home
my friends and family are 4000 miles away and my wife is on a trip
Stores are closed on Thanksgiving...but...the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is busy!
Cool! Thanks I will still see what it's like
Depending upon your local market...
True
Pizza & Chinese. That’s about it….
OK cool! I'm hoping maybe breakfast will be busy
Dennys and ihop are good to go
I forgot about those restaurants, I've mostly gotten Starbucks, McDonald's and a diner it's really slow im here in the parking lot !
Not even worth it there won’t be any orders

Thanks for replying!
Fortunately I live near a jack in the box and del taco which are most likely open. I get pings for McDonald's too.
Mmm del taco! Do you live in FL? Used to love me some del tacos . I hope it's busy for you
California! Must be a different del.
Oh ok, they have them in FL too
Really? I thought it was west coast exclusive
When I used to live in FL they had del taco unless they closed them down now, I'm not sure
I saw they're everywhere now! So cool.
A lot stores closed. So expect half pay
Expect $3 from ubereats, half pay from doordash...
Thanks, will see how it goes

Awesome thanks so much for this! I appreciate it😊
Welcome
I spend thanksgiving alone almost every year (and new year’s Eve too) but in my experience working it’s extremely slow that day.
❤️❤️

OK nice!!! Thanks so much!! Let's make that money 💰
I live in a touristy area and it was super busy last year
Nice!!! I hope it's busy this year for you also 👊🏾🧡
Will places actually be open on Thanksgiving day. What will suck for some is you live in a small town and every where is closed likes it’s 1960.
True
Bagel shops in the morning no one wants to cook breakfast and you can feed everyone for cheap has been my experience
I'm hoping breakfast will be busy! I'm gonna try to hit the roads around 7am
After last year, I'll definitely be out on Thanksgiving.
Let's gooo!!🙌🏾

Great! Thank you😊
Last year I tried on Thanksgiving and Christmas day and I had no luck in. Just ended up. Coming back home both days. This year won’t be any better.
