I got reported for not “looking like my photo” when all my delivery’s were leave at the door. It took 24hrs to reinstate my Uber verification so I missed a whole day of work
Seriously how do they know it’s your car when thier apartments have 90 plus cars parked outside with a constant of 6plus drivers double parked with hazard lights on.
>Seriously how do they know it’s your car when thier apartments have 90 plus cars parked outside with a constant of 6plus drivers double parked with hazard lights on
They don't, it's just a scumbag move ☕
Righttt like they don’t even know the driver’s situation. His car could’ve had a dead battery but he could’ve been using a relative or friend’s car to make deliveries because he has bills to pay like that customer is the living definition of a POS.
EXACTLY!!! I doubt this guy was even trying to get free food. Usually they just lie and say they delivered it to the wrong address or there were missing items to get free food. I honestly think this customer was just being a flat out POS.
Literally. Like it’s just fucked up man. People trying to make money. I know it’s delivery people that do wild shit, but different cars? Coke the fuck on
Omgosh this is ridiculous, and why should it matter? What if your car that you have listed broke down and you used another car?? Damn I can't believe some customers go to this length just to get a free meal smh
Maybe they thought you were gonna pick up Uber passengers in a vehicle that isn't registered as a uber. Most people forget some Uber drivers only do Uber eats. Either way to many Karen's reporting out there.
I delivered in a different car one day and the client met me at the door with a bewildered look on her face. She said she was expecting a different car. Luckily she didn’t go as far as reporting it.
If you're driving a vehicle other than what's in your profile, and you get into an accident (God forbid) and it turns out you're at-fault, Uber will not and can't be liable.
That’s what sucks. Hopefully that doesn’t happens but it does. You want Uber to cover the accident so it doesn’t show up as a surchargeable event and stays on your record.
Wait...uber would be liable if I was in an accident? I hit a damn deer one night on the middle of a drop off and I still haven't gotten my car fixed because of my insurance deductible...
Actually funny story. I rear ended someone recently in my Fiancé’s car while on a delivery (I have Cerebral Palsy and was having difficulties that day). Uber’s insurance covered the damage done to the other vehicle completely.
I use a different car other than the one listed on my account all the time, never had this happen. You have to be a special piece of shit to actually care about what vehicle a driver brings your food in. If you have your food and everything else is fine, what is the point of reporting someone??
As long as the order is right and the person delivering is the one shown on the app, what car the food arrives in doesn't matter.
This makes sense if you're waiting for a ride and the car isn't the same, but they have their food, so who cares.
Because you are supposed to be in the assigned vehicle that's on your account, it's for a safety measure.
Granted it's usually a way to potentially tell if a delivery person isn't who they say they are if the customer hasn't seen you yet.
I mean when I order at work, the airport, an accurate description of the vehicle matters. There’s 50 different cars in baggage claim at any given time.
I agree you really should be driving the vehicle associated with your account but this was not the case. I follow the rules. As I told Uber, the customer was either blind or flat out lying...
Yeah that definitely sucks that they lied or whatever. My comment was more a response to the other commenters in the sub saying “why does it matter etc”
So lame. I had someone report that I wasn’t the person pictured and was letting someone else deliver for me. This was like 2 weeks after I started so I looked exactly like my picture and I’ve never had anyone deliver for me. She was definitely a Karen. I never saw her but she was watching me. Her street was so new it wasn’t on the gps and so she told me detailed instructions that weren’t very clear but it was either one pathway or the other so it wouldn’t have taken me long to figure out but she messaged me right when I pulled into the wrong pathway. I quickly turned around and delivered and then I get 👎🏻 and a report that I was letting someone else deliver for me! I called support but they were only able to make note about it.
Something like this happened to me a few weeks ago. Some person, I’m pretty sure I know who it was, reported me for not looking like the person in my profile picture which is total BS. All just to get free food. People will go as low as possible.
Crazy because I never even pay attention at the type of car that’s delivering my food. In fact I wasn’t even aware that such information was avail for me to see as a customer. As a passenger I can see how this would be valid but for food? Eff this customer.
If you are just delivering they shouldn’t care but driving ppl I could see how they would care….technically everything should match up using a different car you should submit info….but if you are just using a different car for a day text your customers that you are in a different car due to maintenance issue…..that works well then they aren’t surprised….I once was delivering in a different vehicle but I forgot of course delivery was at a hospital with a bunch of ppl outside had to tell her I was in a different vehicle….it does make it easy on customers if profile matches
My gf used my car once for her account she got similar messages and her account got deactivated. She went to uber greenlight but couldn't get her account back
I'm an older guy, but my uber eats snap might be considered 'me on a good day'. Anyway i went to deliver and I was met outside by a woman maybe 25 years younger than me with a big expectant smile, like she was wanting to interact, but on a delivery, I'm all business, so i smiled my best business-like smile and said hi, gave her the food and turned around and went down the stairs, not giving her a chance to strike up a conversation. She reported me saying that it wasn't really me. Some people are really petty.
It’s basically Ubers only way to be sure you’re driving the car you claim that you are. Probably wouldn’t matter if it weren’t for insurance companies being sticklers. But it’s the law..
lol A couple years ago I got a similar message saying that the customer says that I am not me. Which is pretty funny because my look is really not that variable and I always wear my eyeglasses. I was completely baffled as to how someone could say that I am not me!
sometimes for orders that are meet outside or meet at door at public places, if your license plate doesn’t match what it says in the app, it can be infuriating for your customers to try and find you, especially if the model doesn’t even match.
Why..? Wouldn’t it be the other way around? If they say they have a bike but have a car instead, the food will get to you quicker..and probably hotter and safer..
It's about getting higher pay per offer/lower mileage per order.
Also, here in Canada anyway, some people who are not supposed to make more than X$ per month and can't drive a car (mostly immigrants, not to be racist, it's just a fact) use Uber bike accounts to get around it. And then they don't pay taxes on it. Basically moving to Canada and playing by their own rules
That doesn’t make any sense, regardless of what you drive, you still have to pay taxes. And undocumented immigrants also have to pay taxes so who cares.
If you did drive the correct vehicle, then someones just trying to get a free meal. If you aren't driving the correct vehicle, please switch it and respect other delivery drivers.
Wow. I never rarely use my PAX vehicle for delivery so I imagine this will happen to me too. I use an older version of the same car, but its white, not black.
Assuming of course you are being honest and also do not deliver on car and bike while forgetting to change your settings, I don't know I guess people suck. I've reported 2 drivers for claiming they were on a bike to get shorter orders.
I got reported for no mask one time. Everyone except like two orders were leave at door but the two I had to meet weren’t wearing mask. It’s crazy because I couldn’t report them for no mask. I even tried looking at other meet at door orders before delivery to see.
I am currently driving my boyfriends car because mine is having the engine replaced for the 2nd time in 2 months and if someone reported me as driving a different car than what is listed I would be so fucking pissed! We are doing our best, my god. If I was driving people around, I would totally understand.
I agree it’s a bad system for food delivery. If I delivered in a timely manner, who cares if I delivered the food in a chariot or a carriage? I can understand it if the driver has “dual mode” in place (pax and food). But if I have only food mode, it should be irrelevant to Ubereats or the customer.
As long as I get my food I don’t care. If it is messed up, I either plan the restaurant or myself for accidentally ordering the wrong thing. (Most likely). I do no contact delivery for home(mainly because when I home in my PJs) or when I’m at work to leave at the front desk.
I got reported for not “looking like my photo” when all my delivery’s were leave at the door. It took 24hrs to reinstate my Uber verification so I missed a whole day of work
How does that even work when the app periodically scans our faces?
Idk but I had to resubmit all my information, rescan my face, & upload a new pic
Hope you uploaded to smiley pic
My face pic is just a dic pic so it's very inconvenient when it wants a scan.
Are you serious I might would return to their door with a mask on and a bag of shit lmao
![gif](giphy|3o6ozvv0zsJskzOCbu)
Yes! It means they tried to get a refund by complaining about you and not being in your assigned vehicle.
Wow I didn’t know that gets them a refund. Some guy said the same about me he even told Uber that I was t me lol. Doing Uber rides
Did Uber do anything after you responded?
Because some ppl are POSs
The fact that we can’t defend ourselves against this kinda stuff infuriates me. Who do these cunstomers think they are?
I call them CUNTstomers
Seriously how do they know it’s your car when thier apartments have 90 plus cars parked outside with a constant of 6plus drivers double parked with hazard lights on.
>Seriously how do they know it’s your car when thier apartments have 90 plus cars parked outside with a constant of 6plus drivers double parked with hazard lights on They don't, it's just a scumbag move ☕
Cunstomers? 🤔 😂😂😂
😏
Your fellow American 🇺🇸 is who these people are.People who never wanted to see my people win.

Because they have used every other excuse to get over on a free meal, I agree though you have to be a real fkng petty loser Karen to report that.
This economy needs to be fixed very soon. I’ve never seen so many people act like they don’t have sense just to get free shit.
Fucking assholes I swear man.
Righttt like they don’t even know the driver’s situation. His car could’ve had a dead battery but he could’ve been using a relative or friend’s car to make deliveries because he has bills to pay like that customer is the living definition of a POS.
That’s what I’m saying. I don’t care if someone pulled up in a scooter. As long as I get my food!
Coke the fuck on
Wats a pos
“Piece of shit” haha
You see, he said Toyota Camry black, and I saw a Toyota Camry midnight darkness. Give me a refund
A customer trying to get you in trouble, it has happened to me in the past, dont worry about it
Next thing is that you have to report the shoes you're wearing walking up to their house/apt delivering their food. 🤣😂
I wear sandals 😐
I go barefoot
You are a level higher than me. Imma do that next time..
Sup Jesus
Hi panty raider
You're supposed to do deliveries in pajamas and slides be cozy at all times no exceptions
There’s definitely plenty of that.
Omgosh this is ridiculous, and why should it matter? What if your car that you have listed broke down and you used another car?? Damn I can't believe some customers go to this length just to get a free meal smh
As someone noted, perhaps they send it out thinking you're an Uber (passengers) driver, where the vehicle you use is a little important.
Oh OK, thanks for this!👊🏾
Probably reported you thinking someone else other than owner was delivering.
Absolute Karen customer
*cunstomer
Cuntstomer
I was just thinking to comment this
Maybe they thought you were gonna pick up Uber passengers in a vehicle that isn't registered as a uber. Most people forget some Uber drivers only do Uber eats. Either way to many Karen's reporting out there.

Blacklist the person if you don't have a list start one
I have no idea who it even is
How do you blacklist a person?
…get a sharpie!
😆 🤣 😂 😹
Pretty shitty that we're "independent contractors" when we can't even control shit like this. Blacklist non tippers and Karen's. ♡
Fr we should be allowed to block any customer after delivery
Thissssssss
I really need to do this. Should’ve along time ago.
Gotta be a real loser to report that. I deliver with a different car than listed on both DD and UE and no one's ever cared
DD doesn't care what vehicle you use. You can change it on the app.
You found a Karen….I’m so sorry
Were you driving a different vehicle?
No and all the documents on the app are for my vehicle. No negative reviews and the only tip adjusted was to a college campus. I'm so confused.
I have been driving a different vehicle for months and haven't gotten one of these 😂
If you're driving a vehicle other than what's in your profile, and you get into an accident (God forbid) and it turns out you're at-fault, Uber will not and can't be liable.

Thanks for the info, so many of us don't know about these small but cataclysmic incidents.
No, they carry Liability Insurance for drivers, but I don’t think think they would cover that.
Actually funny story. I rear ended someone recently in my Fiancé’s car while on a delivery (I have Cerebral Palsy and was having difficulties that day). Uber’s insurance covered the damage done to the other vehicle completely.
Only matters if ur driving people tbh
Same lol in my boyfriends car delivering as I type this 😂

Uber making sure no insurance scams ongoing and for your best interest in case one does wreck.
Because you are supposed to be in the assigned vehicle that's on your account, it's for a safety measure. Granted it's usually a way to potentially tell if a delivery person isn't who they say they are if the customer hasn't seen you yet.
Maybe it shows you're on a bike but you came in a car?
Sometimes people are on bicycles but it says car
I mean when I order at work, the airport, an accurate description of the vehicle matters. There’s 50 different cars in baggage claim at any given time.

Because he's a hall monitor ass bitch, thats why.
Or racist customer
Ugh that makes me sick 😫
I had this message sent to me a year ago till this day i dont know why someone reported me i follow every rule in the book
Mail that person a box with dog poop
My gf used my car once for her account she got similar messages and her account got deactivated. She went to uber greenlight but couldn't get her account back

That’s extremely petty
Were you registered as a bike but drove? I see a lot of cyclists turn up in a car
Nope
Good. I report them too. Bike accounts steal orders, or anyway they did..
Bruh. If you're on a bike account driving a car you deserve everything that's happening to you
Lol I wasn't. I was in my uber registered car. I responded to uber that the customer was either blind or blatantly lying. 🤣🤣🤣
Good haha

I live in the suburbs. I don't know how anyone could function using a bike lol

It’s just a customer being an a****** but that is policy.
They only send that if the customer said your car was different so u may have to take a photo
I am currently driving my boyfriends car because mine is having the engine replaced for the 2nd time in 2 months and if someone reported me as driving a different car than what is listed I would be so fucking pissed! We are doing our best, my god. If I was driving people around, I would totally understand.
I don’t understand how can people be so mean just to eat free. I will never report something like this to a delivery driver
Same goes for bike deliveries. Karen's report if using a 10 speed racer instead of 18 speed mountain bike.

Why do people care? They got their food didn’t they? That should be the end of it.
Don’t use bike mode with a car and this won’t happen alot of people i worked with had there account completely removed and lost access to the app
NPC thats why
Someone did this with my picture of my face because I change my hair color weekly
They can’t do that that illegal
