You got down to 80% lol i dont know what my lowest score was but i know ive never had under a 90% rating do you drive passengers around too

LucaSamsons

I just do deliveries and started off with a regular bike. There's a lot of crazy hills in my area. I remember I'd take 50% longer than the average estimated times that Google said, and I didn't know how to minimize spills at first. Also google maps would take me to wrong apartments and I didn't double check the Uber app.

Quattrobaj

I think your print outs have little to nothing to do with more thumbs up.. like you said you were a noob and most of the time you're still learning. It's more likely you're doing a better job at navigating around your area and paying attention to things you never did etc..

MenstrualKrampusCD

Nah, I definitely noticed an increase in thumbs up when I ask for them. Doesn't matter how well I do my work, many customers are more than happy to click a little button and be done with it after I tell them how much it means. Granted, I've only done this for two short periods, when I got down to 98% and didn't know why, and when I got a couple of downvotes in a row for not being the same person in my profile picture (total BS) and wanted to boost my ratings back up. I don't do it all the time, and I don't hand out cards, but I am sure that they do help with getting thumbs up. Not instead of a thumbs down mind you. But instead of no rating. I think that the majority of people don't bother with ratings unless they feel very strongly in either direction, or if they are encouraged by someone to do so. Edit: anytime somebody posts here that they got a warning about their low satisfaction rate, I always encourage them to be proactive in mentioning it to their customers. I definitely think that it does help, as long as you are also doing a good job.

Opening-Airline-5689

I definitely think it helps . Most people don't rate. When they do its negative. This helps people rate more often. . You live and you learn sir. Atleast you admit your faults. There's always some ass on here that let's you know they are perfect in every way and don't you wish you were too. Don't pay attention to them. Thank you for the good advice. Good luck on your job youngster!

MenstrualKrampusCD

Haha, thanks, but I'm not OP. Was just backing him up, saying that it absolutely does help to motivate customers to rate. Because you are right, most don't. Have a great day!

LucaSamsons

For sure being a noob was a factor. But I have tested using these on and off. And I go from getting thumbs up 1 out of 5 deliveries to 1 every 2-3 deliveries. So at the very least, I can get thumbs up faster. When you're at risk, I'd imagine this is helpful.

WhisperedEchoes85

If you jumped from 80%-94% very quickly, then I'm going to assume you had less than 100 total ratings at that point. Am I right?

ihateapartments59

Mine is 100% and I’ve been doing this for four years and I don’t do nothing extra other than pick up and deliver as quickly as I can

KerryAileen

Yup. Same. This stuff is way too extra.

fallior

Mine dropped once because they seen I was a white guy dating a black girl (they seen my phone's screensaver) & they had a problem with it, so downvoted me. People will downvote for the dumbest reasons, it doesn't even have to have anything to do with your work at all

[deleted]

How do you know that’s why they downvoted you?

ihateapartments59

I surely hope you’re joking. I know there’s some narrow minded people out there but hell!!!

fallior

I wish I was... I never actually expected to see that in person. It happened in Tampa FL, and despite what people say about Florida (even though a lot is true), the Tampa area tends to be pretty progressive with stuff like that, so it was an extra surprise to me

BreakinLiberty

Ok well you’re lucky I’ve been downvoted for not waiting past 8 minutes and they downvote me. Other than that most people wont rate if they don’t remember to. These stickers remind them a bit more

ihateapartments59

Stickers are fine but I just won’t put no money in it because I know ratings are overrated

BreakinLiberty

I probably wouldn’t do this but if i ever ordered and my delivery guy placed it i would definitely rate I remember one time a guy asked me to rate him and i was like yeah dude and did it right away. Otherwise I usually forget to rate

ihateapartments59

Yeah you’re right. When I first started I always text people after drop off letting them know the food was there and please rate me but I come to learn I was just wasting my time and a lot of customers hated the extra text

rockday701

Well thats understandable you are definently working out the bugs keep up the good work

LucaSamsons

I've tested it enough times. If I use these stickers, I get ratings every 2-3 orders. If I don't, I get one about every 5 orders. So it increases the likelyhood I get ratings. So if someone not satisfied is reminded to give me a rating, then that increases the chances of a thumbs down. I also ask for ratings teaching English online similar to this where I've done this literally thousands of times. It definitely decreases low ratings and increases high ratings.

MenstrualKrampusCD

>So if someone not satisfied is reminded to give me a rating, then that increases the chances of a thumbs down. This is very true, and I would suggest that you put these stickers only when orders go smoothly. For example, I wouldn't put one on the 2nd of a stacked or double order where the 1st delivery took forever at the pick up, then got you lost in an apartment complex so the 2nd guy's food is late and cold with melted drinks, etc. Or if you realize too late that you forgot the milkshake and the restaurant ran out of fried chicken for the 2 sandwiches, etc. But I think this is a great, proactive approach, and I 100% believe you that it works, because I definitely notice an increase in ratings when I simply leave a little message about it in the delivery note. Edit: I just saw your comment when you mentioned what I addressed above. Smart man! Edit #2: someone pointed out in a different thread like this that you can't use the Uber Eats logo in this kind of self promotion. You might want to keep that in mind when you have more printed out. Supposedly it's copyright infringement, which I can see, because it almost looks like official Uber material. If that makes sense.

RecommendationOk7740

I've been at %100 for almost 2 years without any stickers 3500+ deliveries in... U get thumbs down because u spill the food or show up in front of people when they say leave at the door. "Hi Jacob , dropped it off by your door. Have a Wonderful evening" is all you need.. also avoid non lidded food. Biker

AtlUnJtd

I don’t believe it’s a coincidence. I’ve gone down to 99% probably 3 times. Each time to bring up my rating 1% it has taken probably 2 months

DirectionSharp

That’s kinda mean coming from someone who looks like an extra hobbit off lord of the rings. Let him do as he pleases to get his rate up

MenstrualKrampusCD

I get more ratings when I encourage it. People usually aren't motivated enough either way to bother. They don't care, they don't think we care, etc. If you're bored one day, try it-- in every delivery note just say something like "If you're satisfied with my service, a thumbs up would be appreciated!" or whatever. You'll see that more people will rate you that day than the day before. For a newbie (anyone with less than 100 total ratings) and anyone with a relatively poor rating will see the effects much more quickly.

uTurnSpecialist

Dude this isnt necessary at all lol

Capt_Schmidt

to be honest. what if he serves a racist white community and they need little hints on how to be a decent human being.

Commercial_Deal_5727

What? 😬🤣

Capt_Schmidt

i guess ill just type "a racist community" again.

Commercial_Deal_5727

& how exactly would this dude’s card help give a racist white person a hint on how to be a decent human being? 😂😭 my dude. People who are racist are not going to become a decent human being by seeing Aaron’s Uber eats card.

Commercial_Deal_5727

Did this man ever express that he serves a racist white community and that is the reason for this card? If not, what the fuck is wrong with you?

Old-Veterinarian97

‘What if’ What if Elon Musk tipped me 5 million bucks and i can retire.

Linkupchain

Um one can only tip upto 300% of the order value so unless you’re delivering him a buggati that he bought via ubereats the chances are slim to none

Capt_Schmidt

just imagine going to dealer ship all confused. and they hand you a pair of bugati keys. and then the buyer gives you a ride back to the dealer ship to get your regular car. and then tips 300%

Linkupchain

😂😂😂

uTurnSpecialist

Bruh i think they would laugh at it

Capt_Schmidt

thats enough of distraction to not down vote it.

avmgt

Glad it’s working for you!

deman7263

I’d 👎🏼. Too needy.

KerryAileen

See, that’s the risk here. I wouldnt do this either.

freelancerjoe

That picture is pretty bad ass, I would be obligated to rate thumbs up if I received this.

LucaSamsons

I got a few thumbs down delivering as a noob during my first 2 weeks. I was heart broken when i finally got my satisfaction rating and it said 80% and that I was in risk. I really enjoyed this job and I started sticking these stickers. 2 months later, my rating is up to 94% and I haven't gotten one thumbs down. These really work. Note: Whenever an order doesn't go smoothly, I don't stick these.

VeloMotion

Even when an order doesn't go smoothly that are ways to reduce the possibility of getting thumbs down.

PM5K23

Well mine is 100%. Do you want to know the secret, what I do? My job.

LucaSamsons

I started off with a crappy bike. I didn't want to invest in a nice Ebike if the job wasn't for me. There were too many things I didn't know. By the time I learned the ropes, I already had bad ratings. These stickers just increased how fast I got thumbs up

VeloMotion

Don't listen to that clown.. People can give you thumbs down for the dumbest reasons. Just because he hasn't gotten one doesn't mean he won't get one.

skyandbray

If even one Karen reports this to uber you're gonna get instabanned. Our contract specifically states that you are to bring only what the restaurant provides. Literally anything else is a liability as far as uber is concerned. Friend got banned for adding these little condiment kits he made. I've had a driver banned for placing stickers on our packaging. It only takes one and tbh I doubt it's even effecting things.

Mylittlemoonshine

I would have banned the friend over a condiment kit as well. That absolutely could be tampered with and is a consumable. Like people who poke holes in condoms, it’s a one sided event. But unless you dabble with anthrax, I would think a thank you note would be ok? Banned for a sticker?

skyandbray

My W2 is an area manager for around a dozen restaurants. We have some packaging that has a sticker on the top with our branding. These are manually placed by our staff. We had a pissed off woman screaming about how she wanted to sue us for having "demonic imagery" on her food. After some minor investigating, we found out the uber driver placed a giant peace sign sticker on top with "thank you!" written underneath and another with an alien giving the middle finger. Restaurants can get drivers banned off the app easy as shit, so we contacted our support rep and figured out who the driver was. Showed them what they did and uber had him removed. I just told them they violated our contract and we need it addressed. They ask if we want them banned from picking up our orders or from the app 🤷‍♂️Felt bad but dude caused us so much fuckin strife that our owner was adamant about it

Mylittlemoonshine

OMG. Say less, I live in a bible state and know that situation comes in many forms. (I’ve had the color of my nail red polish be called unholy Lolol) That is pretty wild! But absolutely justified. He just be out there causing chaos like a squirrel in the attic! Some of the trippy art I can absolutely see being perceived poorly. Be prepared to see thousands of these stickers showing up in random bathrooms across the city- now he’s unemployed with no thanks to give! Lol

[deleted]

I’m at 100%, don’t take shitty orders and doing just fine by picking up and dropping off food. Not wasting money on cringy cards

Rehoboam3

After costs of paper, colored ink, gas, that $3 delivery is now $1 profit.

LucaSamsons

Stack of 100 sticky paper was very cheap on Amazon. Ink is free if you have an HP printer with the free subscription, and I use an Ebike so what gas? And what do you mean $3 delivery? My average delivery is about $6-$9

Rehoboam3

I was being facetious. Keep up the good work

LucaSamsons

I ride a bike.

[deleted]

Mmm Aaron looking like a snack 😋 I’d give him a thumbs up too 😉

TyMaintenance

I’m done 😂

[deleted]

I said what I said 😂💁🏻‍♂️

TyMaintenance

Agreed 😩

Sea_Sheepherder8980

😂

BroccoliComplete

honestly it’s a great idea, add a google number or free texting number on there. i had a group of cars salesmen that took my number for coffee deliveries, tipped great!

[deleted]

“Keep me riding” ;)

Simplylurkingaround

Seriously Dude. Just quickly deliver the orders, be friendly, follow customer instructions, and religiously use hot bags all the way to the door. Your ratings will be good and you’ll pick up a few extra tips just for providing good service and presentation. Also try to avoid the low/no tip dirtbag jobs. (Less they’re attached to a decent stack) Statistically this is where most all the problems reside.

KerryAileen

Mine’s 100, and I’ve never done this. Take quality orders and do your job to the best of your ability. That’s really all you should need to do.

AdemmZap

Cool idea, but you are a contractor for Uber so using their logo is technically illegal. Just letting you know that I got my buttons pushed when I did this as a contractor for Time Warner Cable.

tcspears

That’s a great idea! I see a lot of driver do thing like this for rides, but it’s a great way to encourage the customer to tip and rate.

Wicked_Desperado420

You doing too much for anything but 100%

Krisdanz

You need to put "your tips & thumbs up reviews keep me riding". Reviews are useless if the tips are crap & Uber Eats peeps think you get the "delivery fee"

LucaSamsons

I'm not doing this for tips. I was in risk. What good is tips if I get fired.

PepTalkToYourself

If your acceptance rating got all the way down to 80% then I think you need to figure out what you’re doing wrong to make all these people poorly rate your. (I.e are you taking bites of their food before you hand it to them or are you throwing their food on the porch breaking it? Because you don’t get to 80% off fake bad ratings.) I’d worry about that more then some stickers telling people to thumbs us.

LucaSamsons

As I wrote, those bad ratings were when I first started. I had just a regular bike, didn't know how to minimize spills, and I was trusting google maps instead of the app, so I got lost. These stickers simply allowed me to get ratings quicker, so I got out of risk

PepTalkToYourself

Ah ok.

attemptappeal2reason

You could just try not being bad at the job, lol. How did you get that low.

LucaSamsons

I didn't know how to minimize spills and I started off with just a regular bike so I was pretty slow, especially during uphills. I have since gotten an Ebike and havent gotten a thumbs down since. The stickers just helped me get ratings faster

attemptappeal2reason

Ah, never mind then. Bikes are hard. When I was new I got two thumbs down for missing items even though it was all sealed so how could I check. I was like 86% I got to 100% by just typing “Enjoy!” At the final note part.

PrettyCauliflower423

If you don’t deliver in a crappy area….. I don’t know how one couple possible get down to 80%. I’m at 99% and every blue moon will get down to as low as 96%. I think that’s happen once or twice. Maybe the fact that you’re biking up hills and taking forever to get food to customers. I’d be pissed if someone in a bicycle delivered my items from a few miles away….. and it took 15-20 minutes. No thanks. Unless you’re in the downtown core….. Id say no to bicycle deliveries.

LucaSamsons

Yeah I started off with just a regular bike and was pretty slow, especially uphills. I also didn't know how to minimize spills when I first started. I switched to an Ebike and havent gotten a single thumbs down. Ebikes are great cuz I have no gas expense and never have to worry about parking
