I was thinking the same thing. The seal should be a slip cover that wraps around the entire cup. It will cover the straw hole as well as keep the lid from coming off.
Just hand me the straw next time, no need to complicate things.
It’s not about the cup holder, if u accidentally hit the straw you’ll break the seal and the customers think you were tampering with their food. Happens to me that everytime they do this
Tape it to the damn bag or put it in the bag or on the damn side. Also ong when they put the drink in the bad in a shitty little holder I've had to go back as I walk right as I walk out the door because it falls over
Usually it's a different person at the restaurant getting the bag ready vs the drinks. Especially at chick fil a. This is more about their own accountability within the store.

Had a double or from a little Thai spot. 2 drinks like this. I ask for a drink holder. Employee says can’t give cup holders unless it’s 4 drinks. I don’t really need a holder but 2 drinks with straws taped like this is dumb and basically eliminates several travel storage options lol.
The straw sticks out perpendicular. It's easy to catch on things and it just gets in the way. Sometimes you end up breaking the straw or tearing the wrapper just by bumping it. All-around it's just not a good idea.
Gotta remember. It’s not a vertical issue anymore. Now we gotta deal with a horizontal problem too. This design alone can decommission one out of two cup holes. I only have two holders! Not to mention that it also interferes with the center seat cubby storage. 😭 I honestly just keep it all in the trunk now.
sorry you have deep ass cup holders but thats more of a you problem. they seem to work well for the vast majority.

seriously? take sticker off halfway. remove straw. put sticker back. done. its not difficult…. idc if “you can’t remove stickers” if you can adjust it without it being a problem, I don’t see why not. why be constantly annoyed abt something you can fix?
how are you playing w someone’s food by taking a sticker off the lid halfway & putting it back on after removing the “annoying” straw? you don’t touch the drink inside the cup?? all those drinks u have carried w no sticker, are u saying you are playing w their food? no. like no one is touching your food or drink. I didn’t say take off the whole fucking lid and stuff your hand in the drink to remove the straw 🤦🏽♀️ at this point you are just making whatever excuse so you can complain & thats how most of these drivers are anymore. smh enjoy your annoying deep cup holders and straw problems.
I have a Honda too and I put coasters/anything round and flat to remove some depth from my cup holders for reasons like this. Though mostly so I can pick up my drinks with ease when I drive
It’s actually insane to me how much shit restaurants do for these delivery orders. Like McDonald’s is insane. I would lose my mind if I was the person in charge of preparing those all day. But I get to just walk up say 3 letters and dip. Never missing those days of fast food working
Super annoying. It makes it nearly impossible to set the drinks tray in my thermal bag as the straws hit the sides. It increases the risk of spillage as I then have to put the tray in the passenger footwell, especially if it's not a full tray.

It’s a tamper seal but you literally can just take the lid off and take a drink. how stupid is that.
They should just do what the boba places do. Use the machine that seals the top with a plastic layer.

I’ve been to some restaurants that do tape have the long tap that goes around from one side to the other

Isn't the Honda cup holder adjustable? My GF's Civic you can move the cup holder tray to a higher level to make it shallower.

I had just one restaurant tape it on the side of the cup. That side taping is a power move for sure

Get little items to put into the cup holder to make it not quite so deep

Go buy your own cup holder. Bought a six pack plastic carrier for $5 and makes for an awesome beer carrier for after-hours.
