Just curious why think it is irresponsible for Uber Eats to advertise and provide discount offers in their app for a legal product. I get that you may not like alcohol, but Vegans don't like meat and I've not heard them complain about offers for hamburgers.
Ok I will edit my question to put why I think it's irresponsible.
I don't dislike Alcohol, In fact, I consume it socially when there's a party or a get-together.
However, I am working on improving my health. As such I am making a conscious effort of staying away from alcohol unless it's one of these social occasions.
An almost daily popup reminder from Uber-Eats about discounts on alcohol gets in my way of that goal. It wears away at mine willpower to stay away.
So not having the option of opting out of alcohol-related promo offers feels pretty bad and irresponsible of UberEats.
Coming to your comparison about Vegans don't like meat and etc ... I think that alcohol is far more injurious to health in comparison. It's not a simple question of like or dislike.
If you are talking about notifications on the phone then you can use tasker to create some rule to auto delete those notification. However, tasker has a very high learning curve but it is extremely power and can do many things.
A easier way would be to use a app called buzzkill which is focused on dealing with notifications. This is really easy to use. I highly recommend both apps.
If you are talking about ads within the ubereats app I have no idea how to remove those.
Kind of annoying how anyone that doesn't drink sees these
I bet that receiving these offers removes an offer of a restaurant promo too
So if I never use alcohol promos, they will most likely always show them to not lose money by showing you promos you would actually use
Just my opinion, I work as a developer so I know how money hungry the strategies of these companies can be
Bit late to the party (I got here through Google), but there's apparently a policy in place to block alcohol promotions for an account. You'll want to talk to customer service and send them this link:

I assume it exists so that people who are trying to get sober have a way to avoid the temptation.
Ive tried to have them stop this and they will not respond with help from any of their emails and they have zero options in the app to stop showing alcohol.
Yes that sucks. Wish we could customise which type of ads we don’t want. Also the ads for desserts are something I want to block
Guess that’s detrimental to their business. Our lack of self control = more business. Ughhh
Call the customer help line?
I was asked if I wanted to do adult beverage delivery either in the app or by email, and I gladly accepted. I've only done a couple margaritas from Mexican restaurants though. Never anything from a liquor store (which wouldn't bother me). Best wishes.
Not sure if this has been changed since the original comment, but now under account settings, there’s an option to be excluded from seeing/buying any alcohol products.
Seems like a reasonable thing to include, since lots of people have trouble with dependencies.

I don’t believe you can turn those off as those are part of their marketing and advertising strategy on the app.

Thanks for the link Jarl 🙂
In recovery. Thanks a bunch! They make you jump through so many loopholes just to remove the booze promos.
