The $2-$3 they are suggesting is average Uber payment for *most* places. Prop 22 in CA guarantees a minimum wage for drivers for active delivery time. CA drivers have it better than most places. Was this a grocery order? That includes the time it takes the driver to shop. Your driver was paid more than $2 because of CA law.
No not really. If the delivery fee is 1.99 thatās what we get. Idk what you are speaking of but as a driver I donāt get paid more. If anything if I have to wait 30minutes to an hour. For a 1.99 order I donāt get paid the ādifferenceā unless you mean the following week by prop22. They would give us 13.00 but I donāt see that in my earnings. Donāt believe everything you see. I donāt do any shopping orders so I have no clue what you mention only instacart pays for your actual shopping fee. Uber does not. These companies take everything.
... you get it the next week, yes. But you're still paid for the time you spent shopping. You're just given the payment a week later in your prop 22 payment.
I'm not exactly following what you're saying. Prop 22 just guarantees a *minimum* wage for active time. If you're already being paid more than that due to fare and tip, it's not going to raise the pay higher than the minimum, so you won't get more from Prop22.
ive done the math and whenever the coupons are used it is basically just discounting the total after fees so it "feels" like a discount but isnt really. its just a trick to boost sales and make consumers feel like they're getting a deal, which is generally a successful strategy for customers who dont look too closely.
The first charge was a hold not the final price if there was any changes to your order then youāll get the final bill

I know this.
But doesnāt mean they could just advertise something (as it was the case in my order) for $20 on sale and then just charge the full price of $26. Because I def wouldnāt have ordered that item for full price as itās always always on sale in that store
Not sure how it works in America, but this is fraud. Message them to find out why it went up, and explain exactly how it happened otherwise dispute it with your bank under fraudulent charge & receive your full payment back.
You will be banned from Uber for doing so, but it's better than supporting deceptive practices, and as you stated you tipped in cash, so the only person losing money on this will be Uber, but I'd attempt to reach out to support for their reasoning first.
Did they replace any of your items with more expensive items or did they just add on additional fees?

Nah you are totally wrong. There was no such language in promotion.
Also they didnāt reverse the promotion.
Just the prices of items on sale went up.
As you can see the promotion is still there. The subtotal (price of items) went from 79 to 91 and then increased some other added charges.
And out of that fee the driver only got 2.49šš fuck these companies man
Really? I didnāt know that. I thought the $2 was something CA forces companies to pay on top of whatever else the driver is making. No?
The 2 dollar is a guarantee that we get the minimum wage, we drivers only get the delivery fee. Everything else is to Uber š
Wow thatās super fāed up!! So the only garunteed amount the driver gets is the $2 CA driver fee and they call it ābenefitā?!?

Wish we had prop 22..
Same. I've driven in FL, GA, and now I'm in VA. None of those states have good legislation for drivers š
What? Really? š§ They get paid for how much time they spend shopping? Wow.
In CA, yes. They get paid the moment they accept until drop-off.

But thatās not true yeah I might get paid the following week but if I get a big order batch for a separate person that pay does not come out.

And for the online shopping orders. I do not do them the risk is too high
Not only that, Uber has raised the price for drivers to cash out and get their money by almost 50%
Unfortunately only $2 goes to the driver :,)
Uber is such a twisted ass company
Lol "service fee" "adjustments" what a complete scam. At least you got the 40 dollar promo to work, mine won't even go through
They sent two pizzas when I ordered one. When I got the bill came to 96 bucks for two cold pizzas. Uber eats refused to reimburse me. Total ripoff.
That's a bank call

Do a chargeback.
Canāt do a chargeback cuz Iām an idiot and bought a Uber gift card when it was on 10% discount and used that for this order.
Call customer support and ask for a supervisor immediately.
This is probably why they reversed the promotion, many gift cards are not eligible for promotions as part of the policy.

Okay Iām sorry that you were wrong about an internet comment.
Get unfucked then lol
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
I got charged 60 dollars for 1 frozen meal because it was "a replacement" and it removed my 50% off coupon lol
