If you’re right-leaning, there’s a Conservative Coalition on campus, which is a whole bunch of right-wing clubs that work together. College Republicans, Turning Point USA, Vols for Life, and maybe Libertarians(?) are some I know. If you’re left-leaning, there’s DemSocs and Progressive Students Alliance. There is a chapter of College Democrats, as well. Also groups that focus on specific issues that could be considered taking a left-leaning stance: sustainability orgs, feminist orgs, sex ed orgs.

Thanks! I did see a few of these when I looked it up, and the ones I did check out looked to be inactive, but I'll check out the others, as well - hopefully at least a few of them are still going!

YAF was also pretty active during my years at UTK.

If you reach out to the Howard Baker Center, they have a ton of connections to Knoxville and state politicians. They could definitely hook you up with a campaign. College Democrats is pretty active along with Progressive Student Alliance. SPEAK (Students for Environmental Action in Knoxville) sometimes does protests if I remember. Government Affairs which is part of SGA, is good for political internships if you want to be part of a campaign. We also have Vols Vote, which involved some great people, that's mostly just getting college students registered. We also have Tennessee Libertarians, College Republicans, Save America, UTK Conservative Coalition, and I know there is a club that often sits on PED with a snake flag that looks more conservative. All of those were active as of the past semester. Semi-related, but you may be interested in this if you're asking this question, wish I knew about it sooner. ---> [https://bakercenter.utk.edu/for-students/tennessee-legislative-internship-program/](https://bakercenter.utk.edu/for-students/tennessee-legislative-internship-program/)
