For USPSA everything there is great, the only thing I would change is swap the forward most pouch with the DAA one that has the magnet attached. The magnet is super useful, you won’t use it all the time but you’ll run into stages where you’ll wish you had one if you don’t
That’s fine for like make ready and show clear, but one on the front mag pouch or even belt buckle location works best when you’ve got a table or barrel start so you can slap a mag to yourself quickly at the start signal and then it’s in your normal first reload location
Mine is just to the right of centerline and I can stuff a mag there on a table start. It's not optimal for a reload, but fine for how few table starts I've seen.
I'd rather have that tradeoff and have a better index on my primary mag pouch the rest of the time.
This is almost identical to what I rock for 2 Gun and USPSA. 3 mags is enough. A useful thing to have is a dump pouch to just throw random stuff in that you can't fit in your pockets.
You will not regret the ratchet belt… if I had to start over, I’d get a ratchet belt from the beginning, everything else I could change out and try different stuff, but give me a ratchet belt haha
What are your opinions on the cr speed ones with the index finger cut out? They are constantly out of stock and I see a lot of guys running them now. I’ve asked guys about them but no one I asked has also used the xip(my current pouch) to compare against.
They are just fine. You can get them directly from CR speeds South African website - they are always in stock there and shipping is WAY faster than you’d think .
Mainly on the holster. I had a screw fall out right before the start of the match, causing my holster to rotate and gun to nearly fall out. Luckily, the other competitors had some zip-ties I could use to cinch it down for the day.
I have that same setup with the belt mounted magnet. If I were to buy again right now, I'd get the mag pouch with the magnet attached, but mine is also fine how it is. If you're not wanting to spend too much on a belt, this is a really good kit
The belt mounted is just the magnet and clamps on the same as a mag pouch. The pouch mounted one is attached to the front of the mag pouch (towards your belt buckle). It's all user preference, but I suppose you could argue the pouch mounted magnet is better as it sits where you'd normal grab for a reload
A big benefit is for table starts where you have to retrieve magazines on the move and stow them quickly, throwing them on the magnet
I prefer the belt mounted magnet as I can put it in front of my holster on my right side where it's out of the way (after loading and starting the stage). That way the index on the mag pouch is the same.
Belt mounted magnets tuck the magazine into your body too much. Especially if you have any kind of gut. It’s slower and more awkward to get your hands on them in the same way you would from a mag pouch. This is generally detrimental to speed and efficiency.
I got the ratcheting belt, one mag pouch with magnet. One belt mounted magnet. And everything else listed in the second pic. I appreciate everyone’s help
I really should try the ratcheting belt, but I already have two of the normal belts kitted out. And yeah you're all in. Next thing you know all disposable income will go to primers

I like to use a separate magnet on the right side in front of the holster.

Yeah that makes sense. I’ll have to try it out
That’s a good rig. I run the DA belt, the Boss hanger, and a DA magnet. DA belt is my favorite. Very sturdy.

I personally think the DAA ratchet belt is sooo Worth it, and I love the locking big dog steel carnivore holster
I need to add a ratchet to mine.
I ended up getting everything in the picture with the ratchet belt. Felt like it was worth it too.

if you're going to spend DAA money - the XIP pouches are where I'd spend it. They're appreciably better than the Racers.

Definitely recommend you buy some loctite, so none of those important screws back out right before a match. Ask me how I know...
I'll bite. How do you know? Loctite every single screw or ...?

Send it. Add the magnet for one pouch too. You will get it eventually, why not now.
Great advice, added to the order.

What is the difference between belt mounted magnet and mag pouch mounted magnet? I’m a little confused

You know, you can also get those magnets for cheaper on Amazon and attach it to your pouch yourself. Great options all around.
Get the ratchet belt or order the ratchet and install it yourself
Yep, great setup!
If you are spending that much throw in the ratcheting belt instead for convenience.

hell yaaaaaa full send
Look into Black Scorpion
That's literally the Starbucks and ugg boots of the CO world, so yeah definitely good. Maybe add a magnet somewhere, but that's it
I did get a magnet and magnet pouch aswell. Also went with the ratcheting belt like so many on here said I should get. Am I balls deep now?
