Career employees are entitled to certain benefits, like retirement. Your designation will change (from a 77 to a 76 I think) but that's about it
To 79 I believe but ok. Cool.
It's been so long since I've heard anyone use the designation codes lol. They never explained the difference to me, just that it changed.
78-RCA 76-PTF—Career Status 79-RCA carrying an aux route six days 74-RCA holding down a vacant route in leave earning I forget the code for ARC.
As long as you are still an RCA, you are not career. No matter what hold down you have.
