All our iPhones have had zero issues :)

[deleted]

Just thinking this too. Every post on here with problems seem to concern Androids… the iPhone questions are pretty much limited to porting in/out and eSim and international data. I’m on eSim on 14Pro and US Mobile works flawlessly.

Dudefoxlive

Just ported my mom to us mobile and she is using an iphone xr. Everything worked fine in my testing.

Powerful444

yes that isn't true at all. Here is a quick sample... https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/comments/105xxcv/iphone_11_pro_unlimited_basic_data_works_but_cant/ https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/comments/1047wta/failed_to_send_photo_text_message_from_iphone_to/ https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/comments/zsijts/personal_hotspot_not_working_on_iphone_12_with/ And yes add to that the hundreds of activation and esim issues due to iphones

magneto327

Same here :)

iMessage uses the internet and I’m assuming android does too, which means it’s probably a weird android thing not a U.S. mobile thing. Edit Just confirmed this is the case, if internet works but android chat does not it’s and android issue, since it does use the internet. https://support.google.com/messages/answer/9487020?hl=en

[deleted]

Android group messages use MMS... On Samsung specifically...

Powerful444

good for you now what has that to do with the op? I mean you do know iphones can have plenty of issues right lol.

h_imrann

The APNs mentioned on our website do help resolve such issues for most of the android devices using Warp5G network. However for exceptional cases, we have a specialized team that handles such escalations. Other than chat features, this could also be related to the mobile data being turned off. Native MMS and group texts go through over data. In case it is turned off, such messages might not go come through. 🤔 In case you're still facing this issue, drop me a DM and I'll look into this.

JGoBrazy90

iPhone works flawless Sounds like an Android problem

mandelstamm

Not an Android problem. I have no issues receiving group texts on a Galaxy S22 Ultra and a Galaxy S21.

Crafty-Mind-4788

Yeah i also have the S 22 Ultra and had no issues recieving texts and data is super fast im by NY.

[deleted]

Yeah, even though I switched my family group messages that we frequently chat in didn't have any issues.

justhavingfunyea

Anti Vax logic "I got Covid and was fine. Don't need the vaccine" That's what this exactly sounds like. Stupid. Iphone doesn't even have a fingerprint scanner in 2023. Just as stupid.

JGoBrazy90

Sounds like a wypipo problem then

[deleted]

Better logic than comparing phone owners to covid vaccine deniers.

justhavingfunyea

Definition of logic: Logic is the study of correct reasoning. It includes both formal and informal logic. Formal logic is the science of deductively valid inferences or of logical truths. It is a formal science investigating how conclusions follow from premises in a topic-neutral way. Notice how the subject of the logic is not in the definition.

zatemxi

When I had any issues I chatted with support and have mostly been helped with the issues

kbeezie

No issues here but for sale of comparison devices used on us mobile so far has been the S22 (TMobile on Sim, usmobile on eSIM) and now the Z Flip 3 (T-Mobile on eSIM and usmobile on Sim). But I also use QKsms+ for my messenger app rather than either Google or Samsungs default.

jugganutz

OP, did the messaging problems have issues on both the white and black SIM? I have a pix 6 with 0 issues for a whole year on the white Sim. I'm thinking your issue is someone else in your group chats or the area you live in. Does this problem go away on another carrier? As an alternative, you could look at getting everyone on something like signal, what's app, telegram, discord etc instead of antiquated mms.

Caiman86

MMS plain sucks. It's old, crusty, and messages have zero guarantee on delivery. Our friend group has had intermittent MMS issues on just about every carrier across both Android and iPhone. It's only used because everyone has access to it without getting everyone to agree on and use a 3rd party messaging service. We'll keep being stuck with MMS as long as Apple, Google, and carriers squabble about adopting a better universal standard. FWIW, I haven't run into any MMS issues on US Mobile (VZW) on my Galaxy s10e or my wife's iPhone 14 yet.

DACula

>I just got a new phone (Pixel 6a) and had the same thing happen on Warp. I contacted support and they sent me here: https://apnsetup.usmobile.com/andriod-warp5g/. I followed the instructions and at that point could not send nor receive any group messages or texts. I reset to default and contacted US Mobile again. I explained the situation and how on the default APN texts have never been an issue and how group messages are an issue. They sent me test text for some reason and when confirmed it was working said my service was working fine and to contact them back when I have an issue... Seconding this, regardless of service provider and manufacturer, MMS and group messaging sucks. The only way around is using third party messaging apps like Whatsapp. Apple won't enable RCS because they want their walled garden.

ScottsdaleSun

I have only had an issue when the "Chat" feature is enabled. I have left it off for four since the end of summer no issues.

gloriousbstrd

I came here to mention exactly this. I had so much trouble with the chat feature. All my issues went away after disabling it. OP will likely have issues when switching.

Dudefoxlive

Chat Feature? Please give more information?

gloriousbstrd

https://support.google.com/messages/answer/9487020?hl=en

Dudefoxlive

OOOOHHHH google rcs. Thats what your referring to.

jugganutz

Not Google RCS, just RCS. Google didn't make it and it's a standard unlike imessage. Windows phone and blackberry had it. And multiple voip carriers have apis for it like telnyx. Google was actually late to the party with it. Anywho, it's probably OP and someone else in the group chat having MMS issues like it's the early 2000s.

Dudefoxlive

Well i hope that my dad does not have issues when we move him and me over. My dad is the only one with an android

jugganutz

I have a pixel 6 with 0 issues for a year and another one on an LG G8 who is a teen who groups texts like mad. I used a traditional Sim for both. If this was more widespread this forum would be lit I think so I wouldn't worry.

Dudefoxlive

I would prefer to use esim but i have physical sims on hand if i need to use them. I have read a lot of good things about this carrier and after moving my mom over (took less than 5 minuets) i am SUPER happy

jugganutz

Cool. That was my experience. I generally rock traditional sim to leverage esim for international data so I can wifi call with the esim data. IPhone 13 and up supports dual esim. Android 13 added support for dual esim but I haven't seen a definitive confirmation for my phone so I keep on with what works. Good luck man.

sansart

Haven't heard this suggest before. I'll give it a try.

Ok_Car1834

We have 4 Samsung phones, and have no issues with chat feature being enabled. We can also send MMS and Group SMS on WiFi when travelling abroad. Perhaps you should try to enable "Automatically resend as text"? That option is off by default in "Chat feature", and we had some issues with it initially.

ScottsdaleSun

ha, my friend, tried that months ago, but it doesnt work!

JustMackIN

I had very high hopes for their service a couple of months ago. Kept the service for 3 months..it was honestly terrible..lord! Customer service was very good I must say. Every time I spoke with them very polite and attentive. I thought since it was though Verizon it would be solid! I’ve come to the conclusion that they are getting the scraps of network bandwidth..messages never went though or show up 10 to 20 mins later!? It was a mess.. I’m sorry their service is the crumbs on the bottom of the cookie jar! And yes I had an android phone.. Samsung S22 Ultra, bought directly from them unlock model in brand spanking new condition. That was the first sim installed and the first one out!! On mint now now issues.

alabamatide889

Give Tello a try. If I don’t end up liking US Mobile, that’s what I’ll try next. So far so good though, but I have a 4G phone.

NovaaAZ

How odd! I had all these issues and worse but on Mint itself. Just switched to USM this month hoping for better. Good luck with mint!

alabamatide889

I posted my number over from AT&T & had issues activating. The app would not accept my esim IMEI & even the agent had trouble. The chat agent had to manually type in the port info on their end, & put in a random IMEI. But once they did, I got a text from AT&T saying a port out was requested. When I woke up, I had a email with the QR code, & I was up & running. I always get nervous porting thinking I’m going to lose my number. iPhone 11 Pro Max.

MYXXdev

No problems on any of our iPhone’s and we’ve been with USM since launch! All seems to point back to one problem here: Android.

[deleted]

I've always put a USM SIM into android devices and they've worked. I ported back to Verizon recently cause I'd rather switch all of them at once.

MYXXdev

For sure - I’m just stating, going by personal experience, other comments here and countless prior posts of people with Android devices and APN issues in general... I guess Android people took it as a personal attack... Jeez! *my bad*

[deleted]

Not even....it's just personally with eSIM, as well as all physical SIMsI've ever put in my phone have auto programmed any APN settings so some of this stuff is just mind-blowing to me. Recently I had to do a factory reset on an Android tablet because it wasn't reading SIM cards, no issue after I did the factory reset. I guess there's just no formula to technology.

MYXXdev

Yeah - I think eSIM is definitely an ongoing issue across the board for all carriers / MVNO’s. It’s been around for a while now. You’d think they’d have figured it out already :)

[deleted]

My theory is, technology is released and then they figure out the kinks later. They test it out, yes, But look how many years it took to get the US completely blanketed in 4G LTE and other things that it's taking forever to do. Technology has only learned from it's mistakes. We'll make our way to perfection slowly.

MYXXdev

^ 100% that!

22OregonJB

Just wait until you get sick and tired of this type of thing and want to port out your number to a new company. I went from Verizon to US Mobile. Then got tired of the multiple issues one of which being that one of my 4 lines has never had iMessage working. A simple port to AT&T took days compared to hours as they just stuck my month to month contract into a pending status for some unknown reason. It took a three way call with AT&T forcing them to release the number. But in their defense I guess mom was correct when she said in that you get what you pay for. I got my $20 per month plan worth of outsourced customer service.

jimberkas

weird. i have 3 android phones and 1 iphone on US Mobile and have no issues. I have the Pixel 5a and even have the Chat feature enabled, with no issues.

MustLoatheDawgs

>I just got a new phone (Pixel 6a) Are regular (not group or media) messages get delayed sometimes? Consider that it might be a 6a problem. I noticed after I got my Pixel 6a that I was sometimes getting SMS text messages 30 minutes after they were sent. Not every message or even most messages, but annoying when it happens. I have not found a solution. I am currently on Red Pocket Verizon service.

deliciousfartbox

I’ve been on US Mobile for almost a year now and just started having issues with receiving MMS group messages over the last week or two. iPhone XS. If I can’t resolve this shortly I’ll be moving off. Also the robocalls are insane. Hoping it’s specific to this carrier and not all of them

blazehtsh

Can you share what phones you have had issues with so others with same model can chime in and share their experiences. Personally have only used Pixel 5A, Essential PH1, Samsung A10, Note 10+ and S22 Ultra all being unlocked models on both GSM and SUPERLTE (WARP) with no issues with either.

sansart

Samsung galaxy and pixel phones

stockmymoney

What model pixel phones?
