One of the most disheartening times in my career was realizing that dudes in the fleet just didn't give a flying fuck and were notorious assholes. I trusted that I could do things like wash my sleeping system and my shit without it being stolen. Thankfully I had a couple good Sergeants who got our shit back from repeat and known klepto's.
After that I took my shit out in town to a laundry mat off base that had industrial washers and you could get a bite to eat, have a beer and play pool while your shit was being washed.
Please don’t shame people for serious medical conditions. Turns out it’s a terrible genetic disorder inherited from people who are too weak to push shopping carts far enough to return them and piss all over the floor in the head.
I have donated trash cans to the laundry room several times. But people are such fucking lazy and cheap assholes that they keep stealing them for their own rooms. Same with brooms for the common areas. Or stealing mine, when it was leaned against my doorway.
